I was pleasantly surprised with the ISHRA face-off that happened today...didn't expect it to happen so soon...but yea, I am actually so happy with the end resultđ
Their eyes did all the talking today...DT...oh you beautiful, beautiful woman...what brilliant acting!đ
It was quite a convoluted plot, to say the least, to establish and execute the build-up and I dont even want to comment on how stretched the whole plot is...with harmless chatting sessions between two extremely silly people leading to a near jail-sentence
I only want to talk about Ishita and Raman today...
My heart was breaking today when Ishita kept berating Adi, saying things like, tumhari maa ne tumhen yeh sab sikhaya hai? Kaisa parivaar hai tumhara and what not...it seemed Adi had already recognized her voice and knowingly not looking up to see her face..face her, more like
Since Raman was already in the police station I knew it was just a matter of time before the face-off happens...and I was so sure he would storm in breathing venom and yelling at "this lady" for daring to accuse his son's mother for not teaching him manners and values...that's how Raman usually is...
But today..there was so much restraint...so much vulnerability...in the way he spoke...it was almost as if he couldn't bear anybody else speaking ill about his wife...denigrating her...putting her down for not trying enough..for not teaching his kids the right thing ...for not holding his family together...NO...because she had done all of this and much, much more...only he couldn't keep up his end of the bargain
It was almost as if - he was ready to take the brickbats, but not let anybody else tarnish Ishita's image. Oh sure, he could be mean to her, and hurt her in devious ways, but no outsider was going to fling mud at her...she lay in his bosom snuggled, safe, her image as pure as it was 7 years ago...
It was also a rare moment since after a span of 7 damn years he was actually letting the iron walls engulfing his emotionless body break, the cracks so starkly apparent...letting a sliver of light pass through his shattered heart, for a split second when he talked about his 'dead' wife...that scene made me cry...
That was a rare moment of culmination, for Adi, to see his dad acknowledge his mother's value and importance in their lives, albeit there were all strangers around...and a rare moment when in a span of barely 2 hours Ishita got to see for herself AGAIN...just how MUCH her husband missed her, loved her, thought about her...the pain he felt while speaking of her...ran through her like a heated knife...and I kept thinking maybe Ishita was going to pull her usual tricks again and resolve herself no NOT face Raman
but that familiar voice, that familiar sensuous scent, that intensity in all those meaningful pauses when he spoke...the veiled regret in his words...and the love that was in the danger of spilling out just about any moment...how could she stay away from this? And for how long? And so she had to turn around to face him...
just when he was about to say his wife died 7 years back..
Not a speck of hatred in Raman's eyes...he was SHOCKED..bewildered...it was as if life was playing a cruel joke on him and he just wasn't in the mood to be played on...maybe God had listened to his drunken pleas and brought back Ishita for a few moments...he was clearly at a loss for words
all at once, his carefully structured pretentious world fell apart..and there she was, standing before him...he wished he could touch her...see if she was there for real...but then it was a moment he dare not believe at heart, for the fear of breaking apart again...and so speechless, he left the room...probably to calm his pounding heart, befuddled emotions, flashbacks of past and present in a mess...probably to gather the courage to stand in front of her again...and possibly to train his heart to not go slither up his sleeves and let her see what effect she had on him, even after all these years...
On her part, she looked like even she couldn't believe they again met in this convoluted way...just when she was preparing to leave him forever once more time, but looked like she was ready to take whatever came her way this time...she was nervous, maybe she hoped Raman would understand...she was scared maybe Raman would be overcome with hatred...but then when love runs this deep, its hard to stay away, and not see him...and so she turned around...if she didn't let the love show in her eyes, she would explode

And that's when I realized for the umpteenth time the effect IshRa had on me. The magic KP and DT spun, so intensely, yet effortlessly...its like they breathe these characters and live every nuance...its hard not to fall in love when you see these two beautiful, beautiful people portraying all those emotions like they totally own it.đđđ
It's like the whole world melted around them and you wanted to see only them. Yes, tomorrow Mani is going to storm in unsolicited, and there will be misunderstandings galore...but for me, from hereon, no matter what nonsense they show, we will get to see some great acting from KP and DT's side. They are going to make love come alive like magic on our TV screens...
Somewhere on this forum I read YHM might end in some time. After seeing KP's and DT's performance today, even thinking of YHM ending makes me sad...its like a best friend who disappears from your life without giving you a reason for it.
Yes the show has its many many mad moments, and its prolly going to fess up ahead as well...but I know one thing - if YHM were to go off air tomorrow, or even a year later, I'm going to miss it. So bad. I just dont feel that way about any other show...
Such is its effectđ
P.S. Also, the Iyers are turning out to be a bunch of ungrateful arses
Bala did not have to say that they had not asked Adi to go talk to Aalia, and warn her...its like they wanted to keep out of it...MORONS...easily forgot that if not for Adi's initiative, Shravu by now would have been kidnapped or worse, killed for ransom moneyđĄ
As for Vandu, she needs to stop acting like a bitch...getting all self-righteous behaving like they are a spotless crowd themselves and Bhallas are dirt is getting kinda annoying and nasty now
