Wondering what the review is about?
That how is it even possible to compare Ishita (Divyanka Tripahi) with Shagun (Anita Hassanandani)?
In what context this comparison made?
Before judging the article or making assumptions based on the title, we do urge our readers to go through the write-up.
Well one look at tonight's episode of Star Plus Yeh Hai Mohabbatein produced by Balaji Telefilms and you will understand that this accusation is not made lightly.
Initially while trying to pen down the title of the review "Ishita too turned out to be another Selfish' Shagun in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein", sounded perfect but then it dawned that that Shagun abandoned her 6 month old baby for her own selfish- self centered reasons whereas Ishita did not or technically did not.
Even though Ishita did not leave behind her new born child for any selfish reasons; when it all boils down she too did exactly what Shagun did several years back - ABANDON her baby; and that is not something viewers expected from Ishita who has always been shown as the epitome of motherhood even when she wasn't one by nature but nurture.
Sure this is the YHM's Writers ways of churning up something new, bringing in more drama, more spice, more angst and probably even more romance between Ishita and Raman (Karan Patel) since they are now separated and almost back to how it all started; but one cannot ignore the fact that history is repeating and once again a baby for no fault of hers was left behind by her mother.
Seeing Pihu (Ruhanika Dhawan) in the precap where she seems to have grown up in the love, care and protection of her Grand-Parents and possibly her Papa brings back memories of how during the early days of the show Ruhi (Ruhanika Dhawan) too grew up in the love and care of the same people with the exception of the Iyers who came in later.
Ruhi was deprived of her parents love at a very young age. He mother left her for a better life and her father though caring and loving, couldn't bring himself about to express that love or even to look at his daughter coz she reminded him of the betrayal and pain given to him by the woman he loved. In Pihu's case we are yet to see how Raman attitude towards the young child all the while sicerely hoping that he does not repeat what he did with Ruhi towards Pihu the latter reminds Raman of the fact that Ishita is no longer with them. On the other hand what we can mention is about Ishita who most definitely robbed her daughter of a mother's love.
Raman said a lot of hurtful things, words that one should never say, one that should not be said to a wife, to a mother, words that would not only break the heart but also crush the soul...in short he crossed a line that should never be crossed. Raman's actions and words can never be justified; however they came from the feeling of loss- of his angel, his daughter Ruhi. But in his blind rage, fury and pain what Raman does not see that it wasn't only he who lost his daughter; Ishita whose world revolves around Ruhi, whose very world is Ruhi too experienced the same loss. But sadly even a glimpse of the realization that they both have lost their child, that there was no point doing the blame game never came from Raman's side and his acid dripped words push Ishita to take a step that she shouldn't have taken no matter what!!!
Having said that nobody does anything unless they want to. Yes, it's true that Raman's words hurt Ishita, it killed something inside her but the moment she became a mother, the moment she held her baby in her arms she was bound to that little child and her every decision should have been keeping her baby in mind. And this is where Ishita failed.
Nobody is perfect, every woman irrespective of her age has a mother or to be specific mother-like qualities embedded with her because that's the way god has created her. Haven't we witnessed a zillion scenes where Ruhi a 6-7 years old girl play the perfect mother to Raman? It's just the way girls/women are. Ishita may not have given birth to Ruhi, or her own child who was born through surrogacy but even then she has always been a mother. She always kept trying to be a better mom and do the best by her children- Ruhi and Adi, she wasn't a pro' but she tried and kept trying because that is what being a mother is all about- it is a constantly learning process where every day you learn something or the other. However when it came to her own child, she did not try; she just left without looking back. And today after 7 years though Ishita feels guilty to some extent because she left her daughter behind the tears she sheds comes from thinking about Raman's words and him tagging her as a bad Mother'. Even today she is still not ready to do right by her child which is to let go everything, break every chain she feels is stopping her and be with her because truly the only thing stopping her is HERSELF.
Whatever Ishita's reasons were big or small when it comes to her baby it should have been inconsequential but it wasn't. She placed everything else above her child and therefore did wrong by the little one, an innocent baby who deserved nothing but the love and care of her mother along with the rest of her family. Raman's words were rude and not something a woman wishes to hear from the man she loves, from the father of her child and that is what pushed her to the edge but ultimately it was Ishita's action of keeping away from Ruhi that truly deprived the little one to grow without a mother for 7 years.
How is that justified or more so how can a mother justify this ?
Still said and done this is a fictional show and everything that happens, almost always takes the viewers on an entertainment filled ride; and therefore one thing is certain that the journey of Ishita uniting with her family, Pihu getting her mother and IshRa getting back each other will be something to look out for provided that the makers use the same charm and magical touch they used when creating YHM in the first place...during what we love to call The Golden Days of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein'.
