' Just come on...'' He said as she held her hand and took her to the middle of the roof before turning her around to face that door where they were coming from
'Oh My God...'' Said a surprised and excited Priya
She walked to where the door was carefully looking at the mural on the door that led through to the walls. It looked beautiful and so simple and yet complicated at the same if that was possible. It was also so detailed with each color being used beautifully withoutexaggeration. Whoever did this was an actual artist
'Oh My God you did this...'' She said as she turned looking at him
'Yeah...'' He said smiling
'I can't believe it... You really did this...'' She said again looking at it

Priya had been working at Pratik's office for close to 2 months and they had gotten incredibly close given the long hours they seemed to have. Priya was his assistant and in all honesty she knew nothing about the law but she was always expected to be there when she was needed until she was told otherwise.
Pratik just took a liking to her and liked spending time with her. So they slowly developed a friendship which was quickly turning into something more. She was a beautiful girl and Pratik being Pratik of course had asked her out countless times but she would always turn him down. She told him she was a better friend than she was a date or anything other than and he respected that. But he was slowly and steadily falling for her, even though he wasn't willing to accept it yet.
'Hold on... How come you never told me you know Ishita...'' Said Pratik
'How was I supposed to know you knew her...'' Said Priya
'Oh come on... Romi is always coming by the office... Your telling me you do not know Romi is a Bhalla...'' He said and she smiled knowing she was caught
'Okay I avoided telling you I knew her...'' Said Priya

Even personally ones sometimes and I can confidently saw there is always a girl at the need of the night every Monday morning crying her eye balls out or cursing you out or like the latest one, she said when she finds you she would kill you... I don't think it gets any shadier than that...'' She said
'I... Well... Okay... Listen it is not my fault people misunderstand situations come morning...'' He said
'Oh come on that is such a lame excuse...'' Said Priya laughing
'Okay... Now that you say that ... I am a bit shady... I need to work on that...'' He said shaking his head
'Listen...No offence but... Maybe you need to just stop screwing round and find someone and just settle down... You're too put together and eligible for this kind of thing...'' She said and he looked at her for a second or two longer before he said

'Well yeah... Don't you...'' She said as if surprised he didn't know it
'Alright I am going to begin working on that...''
The door went open causing them to turn and Romi, Ishita and Mihika walked out.
'Hey...'' Said Romi as he saw Pratik waved back before Romi turned walking to the other end of the roof
'They should join us...'' Said Priya
'No... I need my privacy...'' said Pratik as he held her hand stopping her from calling them
'I really am sorry about the whole Sarika issue...'' Said Romi apologetically as they took their seats
'Water under the bridge...'' Said Ishita smiling
'Am glad you came...'' Said Romi looking at Mihika
'Ishu didn't give me a choice...'' Said Mihika making her feelings clearly known
'Either way... Thank you...'' Said Romi
'Is this your party...'' Mihika asked
'Uhh No... It is his...'' Said Romi pointing at Pratik
'Shouldn't he be downstairs entertaining his guests...'' Said Mihika
'He is...'' Said Romi pointing at Priya
'Meaning...'' Said Ishita
'Nothing... I meant to say, even she is a guest, isn't she...'' Said Romi back tracking
'I do wonder though why she didn't tell us she worked for him...'' Said Ishita looking at them
'Well maybe she didn't know you knew him...'' Said Romi
'Please, she talks about you all, all the time... I highly doubt that...'' Said Mihika
'Really...'' Said Romi looking at Ishita slightly amused
'Yeah... He is Pratik the flirt...'' Said Mihika
'Mimi... Sieve Na...'' Said Ishita and Romi chuckled

'Who needs the sieve now...'' Said Mihika and Ishita laughed as Romi chuckled
'What are you guys celebrating anyway...'' Said Mihika

'I mean... There has to be a reason he is hosting it... So what is it...'' Said Mihika
'It is Pratik, he doesn't need an excuse to host a party...'' Said Romi
'Right...'' Said Mihika as she looked away
There was an awkward silence for a while and Ishita just wanted the ground to swallow her there and then, she didn't want to be in the middle and Romi's nervousness wasn't helping matters either. Ishita turned and looked at Romi as she signaled him to start talking but he was just shrugging his shoulders as if he didn't know what to say.
'Help me...'' He mouthed to Ishita and she shaking her head said
'Mimi is trying to get her MBA done...''
'Oh yeah... Where...'' Said Romi
'I say she does it here in Delhi but she wants to do it in Mumbai...'' Said Ishita
'Ishu... I don't think he wants to know about my career problems...'' Said Mihika
'No... I wanna know... Delhi University has the best MBA Programs around... Why Mumbai...'' Said Romi
'I know right... That is what I told her...'' Said Ishita
'Well... What is it...? Can't you get in...'' Said Romi
'Excuse me... I can get in thank you... I just won't bribe anyone like they seem to think I should be doing...'' Said Mihika

'That registrar won't get me my admission papers because he wants me to pay him off first... God knows what for so I just left it... I will get another opportunity elsewhere...'' Said Mihika
'Uhh their loss by the look of things...'' Said Romi
'Don't flatter me... That is just annoying to me...'' Said Mihika sternly
'Am sorry...'' Said Romi and Ishita smiled trying hard not to laugh out loud. Mihika could be the biggest bully when she meant to be and if Romi thought this was going to be easy, he had another thing coming
CHAPTER FORTY TWO
'What did you major in... I imagine you already did yours...'' Said Mihika
'Uhh yeah... I majored in marketing...'' Said Romi
'Nice... Comes with good pay when you're placed well... Although, you didn't need any placing...'' She said
'I did... Raman made me work my ass off for everything I got... I started out in the storeroom in RKB Fashions... Stores Manager... Most stressful thing ever...'' Said Romi
'Really...You began as a lower carder in your brother's company'' She said looking at him for the first time the entire day
'Yeah I did... Have never regretted it...'' Said Romi
'Good for you and good job to Raman for being a good brother...'' She said and he just smiled in agreement
'So... What do you want to major in...'' He asked
'Uhh... Finance and Accounting ...'' She said
'Uhh money people...'' He said
'Exactly...'' Said Mihika as she began loosening up

'Well most of them are either too arrogant or too grumpy...'' Said Romi and Ishita chuckled

'Have you met my brother Raman... He defines that...'' Said Romi and Mihika smiled
'Yeah... He really is a very moody human being...'' She said
'Try working with him...'' Said Romi
'He was never like that though I imagine... Because my God... He really is up there...'' Said Mihika
'No... His wife passed and it kind of sucked the life out of him... He was a really fun loving guy... He actually was crazier than all of us, Simmi and I combined...'' Said Romi
'Hold on... There is a worse version than you...'' Said Mihika as if she was shocked
'Ouch... Come on... I am not that bad...'' Said Romi and Mihika smiled
'I was kidding...'' She said
'You have a misconception about me that I am intent in changing...'' Said Romi

'I am not a pervert... Or a pompous ass ... At least I try not to be a pompous ass but most definitely not a pervert...'' He said and Mihika was an o-shaped expression turned looking at Ishita

'Oh now you remember I am sitting here... I seemed non-existent 5 minutes ago...'' Said Ishita trying to change topics

'On a serious note though... Were you drunk... Like what the hell man...'' Said Mihika turning to Romi
'I swear I do not know what happens to me when I am around you. I freeze...'' He said

'I swear... I am a fairly confident guy but you are very intimidation in a way...'' He said

'Yes... A lot... It is like I get dumb and crazy... But as you can now see, I am working on changing that...'' He said and she shaking her head turned to Ishita
'So this is why we are actually here... Has absolutely nothing to do with your job...'' Said Mihika
'What do you mean? I have a job as his friend to help out...'' Said Ishita smiling

'I am glad that you came though...'' Said Romi looking at her

'And I do apologize for what I said that day...I didn't mean to insult you or demean you in anyway...'' He said
It is fine... Although I am curious what were you trying to say...'' She said
'I wanted to give you a lift or offer you one. I my head I was being sleek and cool but turns out I ended up sounding like a sex craved lunatic...'' He said and she chuckled
Ishita watched them as they began getting comfortable with each other and figured even if she turned and walked away none of them would even notice. She slowly got up and walked away leaving them in their own little world. She looked up and realized that even Priya seemed like she wasn't about to leave that place anytime soon so she figured maybe she sneak away and no one would really notice.Once she got to the door that led from the roof, she bumped into Raman who was just walking to the roof.
'Sorry...'' He said taking a step back and so did she
'Hey...'' He said but she just kept quiet
He looked at her head to toe and realized she was dressed in a somewhat short dress that had sequences which normally would be dressed with high heels or wedges but instead she had on pumps. And in a way she looked quite good
'What...'' She said
'Your dress...'' he began
'What about it...'' She said rudely
'Just a little different from what I normally see you in... It is quite short...'' He said not in a way to insult her but she didn't see it that way
'I am 22 with killer legs to show off and I am going to do just that...'' She said as she turned walking away from him
'Yes they are...'' He said as he watched her leave still standing holding the door knob
'Are you coming out, I need to get back down...'' She said
'Why...'' He said
'I am leaving...'' She said
'Why...'' He said
'What do you mean...'' She said
'Well your friends are here and by the looks of it they are having fun, just hang around for a while...'' He said
'Raman... Get out of my way...'' she said
'No... Besides you and I need to talk...'' He said
'I have nothing to say to you...'' Said Ishita snapping
'I think we have plenty to say to each other... Especially after last night ...'' He said
'Screw this... Hey does anyone want champagne... Because I am in need of a glass and I need to go get it ...'' Yelled Ishita as she turned looking at Priya then at Mihika
'What happened...'' Priya asked
'Nothing, I just really need some champagne...'' Said Ishita and Priya could sense she was a bit agitated
'Okay Then ...'' Said Priya getting up from her seat and Mihika followed suit
'Where are you going...'' Said Romi as she followed her
'It is champagne time...'' Said Mihika
'What does that even mean'' Said Romi
'Priya... We can get someone to bring Champagne here...'' Said Pratik
'No... But thank you... ' Said Priya
'You guys stay... In case of anything just call me, I won't be far... Do not leave on my account...'' Said Ishita
'Ishu... Don't be silly... Let us go...'' Said Mihika
'Mimi... Don't be so stubborn... Besides you more than anyone needs this...'' Said Ishita teasing although the boys had absolutely no idea what she was talking about
'You're sure you're okay... Because if there is...'' Priya began
'Okay what is going on...'' Asked Pratik
'I am absolutely okay... I promise...'' Said Ishita
'Okay this is stupid...'' Said Raman as he grabbed Ishita's hand
'You are not allowed to guilt them into doing stuff they do not like, so they are staying put...'' He said
'She really isn't doing that...'' Said Priya
'You... Quiet...'' Raman said and Priya smiled a bit realizing he was just as stubborn as Ishita and he read her like an open book
'You... Come with me...'' Said Raman as he turned leaving with her
'Where the hell are you taking me? Leave me alone...'' Said Ishita
'You can either follow me or am carrying you out of here, either way you are coming with me...'' Said Raman looking at her and Ishita just gave in
With him still holding his hand, he led her from the roof and the walked back down stairs. Priya who was finding the whole ordeal funny began to chuckle and Mihika was just shaking her head
'Okay I am positive I missed something...'' Said Pratik
'Yeah... Me too...'' Said Romi turning to Mihika and said
'I thought you all do not drink...''
'We don't...'' Said Mihika as she walked seating back down
'Then what was the fuss about the champagne all about...'' Said Romi
'Wow... Ishu was right, you ask a lot of questions...'' Said Priya changing topics
'And you are really good an evading...'' Said Pratik causing Mihika to chuckle
'Good... You're learning...'' Mihika said
'Mimi, do not encourage this...'' Said Priya
'Oh please... You are asking me not to encourage something... You... Hmmm...'' Said Mihika
'God... You're useless... And horrible at reading people as well ...'' Said Priya and Mihika laughed
'Seems to me like she hit a button...'' Said Romi and Priya just smiled shaking her head
'Indeed '' Said Pratik
'Please, you still have no idea what we are even talking about...'' Said Priya
'That's true...'' Said Pratik
'I do... None of your drink so that had to be code for something... Given how you all got up ready to leave, I think it was your safe word. She was telling you all that she was leaving...'' Said Romi
'What nonsense...'' Said Mihika
'Please... What do you take us for...? I for one am not an idiot...'' Said Romi and Mihika chuckled saying
'You cat like it...''
'Ohhh snap...'' Said Pratik
'Shut up...'' Said Romi letting out a soft laugh
'Hey Priya 9:00 o'clock...'' Said Mihika as she turned causing Priya to turn too
'Oh I have a feeling Champagne is on the menu again...'' Said Priya catching Romi and Pratik's attention
'Okay now you are just saying random words...'' Said Pratik as he turned
