Simmi was gone running to inform her parents ,Raman followed her and after that ishita followed him like a hutch dog.They enters the hall,Mr bhalla and Mrs were waiting for them and simi was informing them excitedely about ishra
Raman and ishita reached to their parents and touched their feet to take blessings from them.they kept their hands on ishra head and blessed them openheartedly. Then whole family sat for some talk about marriage but ishita ran to kitchen feeling shy.simmi called her but toshiji signalled her to let her be like that.
Ishita made tea for everyone ,arranged snacks and headed to the hall with the tray.she knows that nobody would have being taken their meal properly as everybody was worried about her.
Simmi looked at her and said teasingly"oh ho look someone is already doing her job of DIL of this house.".
Toshiji scolded her and said"simmi don't tease her either I will not spare you".
Simmi faked cry and said"see papa mamma loves her DIL more than her own daughter."
Mr bhalla-actually she is adorable.
Si- (turning to ishita)omg ishita what have you done yaar.everybody is chanting your name .I must learn it from you before I get married.
Ishita didn't respond but looked down shyly.
Raman was looking at her but she was not raising her face for awhile .
Raman wanted to spend some lone time with her .After finishing tea he spoke to ishita looking at his watch"we have time ishita get ready ,we have to catch mr bansals meeting, mihir will be alone."
Simmi interfered and said "nobody is going nowhere ,nighter you nor ishita .though ishita was with me from yesterday but we didn't have any talk so I want to talk and know about my would be bhabhi.and also you have to return my favour through a huge gift as I have kept her a whole day with me for you only.
R-i didn't get you.what do you mean.
Si-i mean that we are going for shopping and dinner.
T-yes that's a good idea.you three can go .
R-mamma why u and papa aren't coming.
T-i have called panditji (priest )for discussing the date of your marriage.
All the bhallas were chatting but ishita was a mute spectator of the whole happening.she was just sitting beside toshiji ,listening to them and stealing glances on raman.Now they have decided that raman ,ishita and simmi will go for shopping and dinner ,while senior bhallas will remain in house to decide date and preparations of ishra marriage.
Trio left for the shopping mall.All the way simmi was chatting to raman as the siblings had met after a long time.isjita was enjoying their talks and was smiling.simmi asked to his brother.
Si(pointing yo ishots)bhai doesn't she speak.
R-who.
Si-she your would be.
R-who ishita
S-yup.
R-who told you that, she is just a chatterbox like you.
S-but till the time I met her she is not speaking much.
R-let herbs some familiar to you then you wil wonder does she ever stop.
For this he earned a deadly glare from her.
They reached the mall after sometime.After enjoying he told the the ladies to enjoy the shopping while he will attend some calls.
Simmi and ishita went to ladies section ,simmi picked many dresses for herself,but ishita was only helping her.
S-hey ishita why are u shy ,I am a good SIL.you can pick whatever you want.
I-its nothing like that,it just that I have many dresses .,why to buy more.
The girls were arguing when raman came back.
R-hey ladies what's going on why you people are arguing.
S-bhai I m just fed up of your ishita.she I irritating me a lot.
Raman looked at her and asked "is it true."
She immediately shook her head nagetively and spoke like a kid"nahi to".(not at all).
Raman smiled at her innocence and signalled simmi "see she is not irritating you".
Si-oh then tell her to buy something for herself ,don't just enjoy window shopping
Raman looked at her and said"go get something for yourself.
She nodded and went to pick some suits for her.simmi was amazed to see the effect of her brother on ishita.she went her and said
S-you always wear this boring salwar suit and anarkali hadn't you wore jeans top or gown ever.
I-why not in chennai I only wore them.
S-then why not here.
I-here it will not look good.
S-why its Delhi yaar ,90% of girls wear this only.
I-i know but .
S-but what
I-here mummyji and papaji r there what will they think.
Raman was listening to there conversation and was smiling ,sensing that the marriage news has brought a drastic change in her.she has become silent and shy.she is addressing his parents as mummyji and papaji instead of ma and papa.He was lost in his world thinking for her when simmi shook him and he came back to his sences.
R-yes.
S-bhai tell her that mamma and papa are not conservative .
He looked at ishita and she made a "please help me face"but this time he was with his sister.
Raman also insisted her to take some jeans and top for herself.
Simmi told her to model some dresses for them,while ishita was gone to dressing room they talked about her.
R-do you like her.
S-she is awsome.I was noticing your effect on her.it just seems that her life depends on you.I feel angry on you .
R-why.
S-how could you do this to her.
R-now what I have done.
S-now not but that time,I m just wondering how could you deny her love,she she ...I don't have words she almost worship you and you were running away from this love.
Raman ruffled his hair and said "because I was scared that I can't give that love back to her."
S-and now.
R-now I realised that I can't live without her.
They were talking when they noticed ishita walking towards them in red top and black jeans.Raman opens his mouth in perfect O lost in her beauty.simmi closed his mouth and asked "isn't she looking gorgeous"
He nodded and orders ishita to take some more dresses like this and simmi the devil she also puts some short dresses in ishitas cart without her knowledge.
They finished their shopping ,have their dinner in nearby restaurant and were ready to leave.
The ladies were waiting for him while he was gone to take the car.both were talking when suddenly ishita ran towards the middle of road. Simmi was surprised with her action and she shouts her name but ishita was running without listening to her.Till then raman had also arrived with the car ,also shouts her name but isjita didn't paid any attention towards him .she ran to the middle of road and hugged a little girl which was crying ,standing in road for her parents.A car was about to hit her but stopped looking at ishita.The crowd geatherd there, everybody started praising her ,a lady appeared from the crowd and thanked ishita for saving her daughter.(Authors note-the small girl is a random girl not ruhi so she will not appear in story after this)
Everybody's eyes were on her but her eyes were searching for him,there he was .she looked at him ,he also saw her they shared a brief eyelock and he was gone glaring at her.simmi dragged her from there and they headed towards their home.The journey was a silent affair.
They reached home and everybody retarded to their respective rooms.
Raman was working ,when ishita entered the room with his milk.she kept the milk in the table and stood there as she always does when she wanted to talk to her.He didn't looked at her but was busy in his laptop.she knows very well that he is angry on her.
She stood there for sometimes but he was not paying any attention to her ,ishita kept his laptop aside and sat in its place,now they were facing each other but he turned his face to other side.she cupped his face and turned it to her and said "if you are angry ,you can scold me na ,why you are not talking to me".
Listening to her cute complain and plead ,he couldn't stop himself and crushed her to him and mouthed"are u ccrazy if something would happened ."
She looked at herself and said "nothing has happened ,see I m alright."
R- but what was the need .her parents should take care of her.
I-if you would have thought this, looking at me in rehab then.
Both were silent for sometime and then again they embrace each other in a bone crushing hug.
Raman pulled her ,cupped her face and said "I m so sorry.instead of appreciating you ,I was angry with you .".
She smiled .They broke the hug after sometime .ishita reminded him to drink his milk and turned to leave.He held her wrist ,
pulled her to him,she landed on his lap.
R-here I m dying to talk to you and madam has time for all the world except me.
She smiled shyly ,looked down then raised her eyes and signed him to speak.
He settled her beside him ,got up and brought a packet and handed it to her.
I-whats this
R- you yourself open and see.
Ishita opened the packet ,it contains a beautiful red lahenga with golden and green colour.she recalled it was the same lahenga which the mannequin in the mall was wearing and ishita was mesmerized to see it.she was looking at it continuously but couldn't ask for it .but raman has noticed it and he bought it .
I (shockingly)- why did you buy it .it was so..
R-costly na.nothing is more costly than u and from now onwards you buy whatever you like and never look at the pricetag of anything.do you get that.
She nodded.
R-wear this on our engagement which is after two days.you know na.
She shook her head nagetively and said "no"
He sat beside her .His layed in a half laying position and rested his head in headrest ,she rested her head on his chest and sidehugged him.
R-you know ,our engagement is after two days and marriage is after ten days.
I-after ten days so soon .
R-u r scared .
I-i have my monthly test is there .can't we postpone d it a little.
R-o madam there is no date after this.if we postponed it then there is a date after six months ,if you want I can tell ma.
I -no no after ten days is ok.
R(teasing)-somebody is so desperate to marry.
She hid herself in him shyly.
