CHAPTER 9

The drive towards roka ceremony is totally silent. Ishita only staring the view ignoring raman. He felt the urge to talk right at the moment but he considered the upcoming ceremony, not to ruin the mood, he restrained himself from talking.

"Raman...ishita...welcome, welcome..."greeted raman's uncle. They took blessings from the elders. Suddenly, rashi came and greeted ishita happily, "Bhabhi...wow..you are really beautiful, bhai very lucky na..". "Oye choti, at least greet me na, where were you during my wedding? Out of the blue, you are getting engaged.."replied raman. "Really sorry bhai, I missed the ticket from London to Mumbai, unfortunately I can't attend your wedding. Really sorry. But bhai, I watched your wedding videos, really grand and know what, you and Bhabhi really look like raja and rani on that day. Heartiest congrats bhai!" she replied and hugged her bhai and Bhabhi. Ishita plastered a very genuine wide smile, "congrats rashi, you are looking so beautiful dear.." said ishita. "I think it's time for our lovely rashi to get ready, your future fianc almost here I think."said mrs patel. Everyone celebrate the ceremony with joy, raman observed how well ishita hiding the pain, she kept smiling, never once she potrayed the hurt. This woman really amazed him.

"Ishita..kitna pretty you are.. thank you for coming"said mrs patel. "Thank you mumma, it is really fun to be here, this family moment surely will not to be missed."replied her. Raman's cousin surround ishita, they clicked selfies, chit chatting and share laughing. They look so comfortable with each other. The elders were very glad seeing this kind of bonding. Raman was somehowe felt very elated seeing his wife can mingle well with his family members, in fact they loved her so much. This is how much happiness brought by ishita to his family. "Raman, how's office? Everything fine beta?" asked mr patel broke raman's gaze from ishita. "All is ok papa"replied him. "That's good, I know you can manage it well, by the way raman, papa and mumma are going to have a trip to turkey, you know it had been such a long time we two having vacation together."claimed mr patel. Raman is very happy with it and wish the best for his parent's vacation. "Bhai! One picture of you and Bhabhi please...pretty please..."requested rashi. The couple can only agree with it, they are really in awkward situation considering the cold relationship of them at the moment. With extra efforts from rashi, she managed to capture the best pose of the couple. Raman kept eyeing ishita, hoping to get chance for him to speak but it seems nowhere. She avoid having eye contact with him. After all of those cheerful, warm ceremony ended, they managed to get back to their home.

Raman is on mission to seek for his JKR'S apology. He drove his black bmw x6 towards marine drive. "Pull over raman, stop the car! Where are we going?" said ishita. She did realized that they are nowhere going back to the house. Raman silently drive ignoring ishita's words. They arrived at the marine drive. "Ishita, please come out from the car, I really need to talk to you." persuaded raman. Ishita agreed seeing how much genuine he is trying to have a conversation. They walked and have a seat at a corner. "Ishita... I'm really sorry ishita.. I'm too stress with the work and I burst out..sorry na ishu..." he apologized and did not realize he grab ishita's hand while saying it. "Raman...it is first time I saw your anger. I knew there must be a reason for it but those words, it hurts. I did not mean to intervene in your life, if you really don't like it please tell me how am I supposed to act so that you won't feel I'm such a nuisance for you."replied her with tears finally falling down. Raman wiped off her tears, "shhh... don't say it like that, you are not a nuisance, my words are really crossing the limit. You are my wife legally, you have the right to act accordingly.. sorry ishita..Help me, guide me to manage my anger." replied him with tears. This is the first time, raman kumar broke down, revealing his sadness. Ishita realized how bad he is enduring the feeling of guilty, his ravaan is not that bad, he appeared strong and tough outside but inside, he is fragile, soft just like her heart. She managed to compose herself and automatically caressing her husband's cheeks. "Stop that tears, not cool for mr raman kumar patel. Raman...it is okay if you want to share your problem with me.. I'm ready to listen.. Promise..no lecture this time.."ishita tried to compose her husband. Raman smiled and said "thank you ishu, thank god no lecture.. promise na? it is just a little stress from work, nothing big, I can handle it, just my temper shoot up that day, sorry once again." Raman tried to kiss ishita's hand and eventually he realized his upcoming action. He smiled and asking ishita to have ice cream with him. He left for the ice cream parlor. Meanwhile ishita surprised by his action, calling her ishu, it really sound like a music to her ear and almost hand-kissing-action really make her blushing. Is this the real side of his husband? The sweet one? She quickly moving to raman for ice cream.

"You know raman, this is my treat for myself when I was a student back then. Stressbuster for me is eating, and ice cream is my choice."claimed ishita. "Really? That is coincidence with me, I really not keen with sweet food but ice cream is an exception, its cool sensation really help to soothe me. Unfortunately, shagun won't ever touch it, she hate it, thinking this will cause her gaining weight."said raman. Ishita noticed the disappointment in him, "Well, unfortunately my ex also hate it, I think that's also the reason he left me, I'm becoming moti by eating ice cream..."ishita tried to lift up the mood. Raman smiled, "moti JKR! No you are not, you are just perfect like this." His words seen really genuine. "Ek minute raman" said ishita while taking out tissue, she gently wiping some ice cream smear from raman's lip. "Really like a kid, raman...eat properly na..."she sounded so soft and gentle, really like treating a kid. Raman amazed by her action and a smile appeared, he felt so delighted that there is somebody in his life who really cared about him, not just his money. "Chalo, finish the ice cream, it is time to go home, we can have some rest there." Suggest ishita gently. Raman can only nodded in positive.

"Hello ishu, sorry to bother you, can mumma come to your house for today's dinner, we planned for some family gathering before me and your papa leaving back to Bhopal. We have enough visit in Mumbai and also you have raman to accompany you, I think this is farewell party for me and housewarming party for you. Is it alright dear?" mrs Kapoor called ishita. "Sure mumma, I'll prepare something for this dinner, can't wait to meet you mumma, and can you bring baby meera and Laila along.. really missed them."replied her. Mrs Kapoor agreed and bid a goodbye. Ishita inform raman about it, he gladly welcome his parent's in law and he also mentioned about his parent's upcoming vacation. Ishita suggested a family gathering for this dinner since they are all leaving for different places. "Are you ok with it? I mean are you tired? We can just ordered anything."asked raman concernly. "I'm ok raman, I can prepare some dishes, no worries" replied her with a smile. "Then. I will try to help you in kitchen."said raman. "No...no...no.. you just stay in living room, my kitchen is my territory, wonders what will happen when mr raman entering the kitchen.. But that's such a sweet gesture, thank you."replied her. Raman can only chuckled and preparing the living room and the table for family dinner.

All of the family members gathering in the house. Laughter and chit chats fill in the house, the environment is so warm, full of family moments. Ishita giving out the gift for both of her nieces, she caressed Laila's hair and showering kisses on meera's cherub chubby cheek. "Arrey..mere chubby cheek, you are so cute..maasi really missed you." The baby squealed excitedly, raman approached them and asking permission to hold meera. He naturally played with the baby. He interact well with kids.Finally, it is time for them to say farewell.Ishita is quite emotional but she know she can visit her parents whenever she wants, her husband and family are really open about it. The jodi also wish a very happy trip for mr and mrs patel.

Raman is so happy today, he managed to gain apology and his relationship with ishita grow closer. "Ishita, since tomorrow is still holiday, do you have any plan?"asked him while preparing for bed. "I think I want to go finding some decorations for the house, but if you want to rest, I'll just go alone, no need to force yourself."replied her. "It's ok ishita, can I join?"said raman, Ishita replied positively, they both wishing each other good night and they are very contented knowing that their problem had been fixed.

In morning, they have breakfast happily. They almost going to leave for shopping when a sudden ringing of their house's bell halt their steps. There was a delivery guy stood out their home bringing along quite a size of well wrapped parcel labelled with fragile. He handed the parcel to both of them. "What is this?"asked ishita curiously. Raman shrugged his shoulder showing that he is also had no idea. "Try to open it"replied him. Ishita gently opening up the wrapped parcel, to her surprise it was their wedding photo. Raman smiled watching the photo, they look so blissful in there. The photography company delievered it to them specially on request of romi and mihir. Ishita is happy to receive their wedding photo. "We will hang it once we done with our shopping, let's go ishita" asked raman gently. Ishita agreed and started to leave for shopping.
