Why support TRP Auntie shows?

Guys... I was an avid YHM fan till the Ruhi Kidnapping track. After that track I somehow could not digest YHM and only watch sporadically without much interest. I have noticed that SP follows the dog and the bone approach. Kill a track and then give us the IshRa romance... sadly beyond a point even this kinda becomes stale.

We had Badtameez Dil that came with a new flavor but promptly taken off air to get another EK show, which again I couldn't digest as it was just the usual candy floss and unrealistic characters...no offence to the fans.

We all keep complaining about TRP aunties spoiling YHM, but we have an opportunity to watch the non TRP auntie shows like Badtameez Dil and see if we like where the CVs would take us without the aunties pressure...

Its a matter of accepting that no matter how much ever we rant and rave our old YHM will never be back. What we saw at 11 pm was the best, whats going to come now will make fans happy only sporadically as 7 30 pm is a purely TRP aunties slot.

EKs shows go downhill after a time... and the story goes for a toss. Happened in YHM, the sweet Rinky that we knew became an adulteress, Mihika married Ashok and the list goes on and on.

Hope we move ahead and give a shot to the non TRP aunties shows and stop bothering about the ones in TV. TV will only cater to the aunties and thats the harsh reality that even though we have seen but are finding it difficult to accept due to our love for YHM.

Not to offend anyone, merely stating my feelings. Everytime a track goes from bad to worse, if Ruhi kidnapping was bad, Ishita pregnancy was bad, the surrogacy has become worse. Only more drama will come to gain more viewership :(

I agree but they are failing terribly 🤣 🤣

All they could do is dish out crap but YHM audience have been the same at both 11pm and 7:30ppm unfortunately which the CVs and PH failed to understand till date 🤣 🤣

You are so right! If you want to boycott YHM, watch or do something meaningful!

The TRP aunties are there to give shows like SSK & SNS TRPs but if we turn to those shows- we're supporting more ludacrious things than YHM...therefore proving that Indian audiences seek regressive, illogical drama.

Point is, in Hotstar we will drive TRPs. But no matter what we do, TV is not for us current and next gen folks. As most of the time the remote will be with parents.
But times are changing and this online trend is catching up right form the USA too eg. The Mindy Project that went on Hulu for different reasons.

Star Plus knows this thats why BD is the only online series airing online and is available in most parts of the world. Given that the maker is the same guy who made the eternal and legendry IPKKND and gave SaRun their fame, I am sure we should not be disappointed.

I believe each scene has a hundred other scenes that could follow and they choose the most dramatic ones. There's no character growth, no logic or reasoning. They just look at the charts and decide. Like this week less TRP? Let's add drama. Oh, TRP was good? Follow the same drama at higher intensity.

I feel like 11 PM and 7:30 were two sides of the same coin.

11 was positive and realistic filled with home.

7:30 is what aunties gossip about over a cup of chai as they prepare vegetables for dinner. This one son eloped with that one, Mrs. Sen ki daughter married that one and look what she's facing. It's like they're negative assumptions shown on tv for their entertainment.

Hamara kya? Our aim was to raise the show to new heights to give it a prime slot. Quoting Divyanka, the makers were waiting for a prime slot.

So it's not like the show was always meant to be a 11 PM show with logic and reasoning.

My point is that we keep waiting for tracks to improve... but they never do for obvious reasons.
So what makes folks not shift... or are they already shifting? Hopefully not to other prime time auntie shows. Which seems pointless to me. who knows at some point yhm may fare so badly that it will be moved to hot star :)

I'm off, but before I leave I just have a question that's been bugging me..

Is it worth it? Fighting months to end a track then getting track off only a week later you have another bad track and you're back to square one.
