Down down the Union Jack
Up up the Indian flag
A cry from the tryst of destiny
We had heard in the last century
The mast that upholds the Triranga
Is not any more on the props of firanga
It is deeply entrenched in our constitutional
Roots which are democratically rational
Uniting diverse colour .cast ,creed,faith speech
Under one umbrella and the Indian spirit to reach
And live in an optimum climate of freedom
For which we fought peacefully like no other nation
Led by Bapu and great stalwarts which percolated
To the end limits as shown by YHM which created
A scene to taste a drink to suit all tastes
Of people belonging to different states
And thereby reminded us on this fifteenth in a way
Amidst this August gathering of our Independance Day
