A man was standing outside a big school with his little daughter trying to pacify her to go inside.

Man-baby please go inside the school.its getting late bachcha.

Girl-but papa I don't want to go alone please come with me.

Man-but baby I can't go with u .please try to understand.

Girl-ok but u have to wait here till I come out.

Man-ok dear.he kissed her forehead and she ran inside the school.

The man settled on the bench and called someone.she picked up the phone.

Lady-had she gone inside happy.

Man-yes but she is drama queen like u.she had told me to wait till she comes out.now I have to wait till she come out.

Ishita -don't tell anything about my rooh.she is my darling daughter happy.

Raman -u r telling like she is only ur darling she is mine sweetheart also sona.

Ishita -rooh is ur sweetheart then who am I.she pout cutely.

Raman -u r my sona.i really can't believe from where we have started and where we have reached.i can see my twenty four year back sona in our rooh.u were also crying like this when we met for the first time.did u remember.

Ishita -how can I forget that day.that was the day when I found u my love happy.

Raman -and I found my sona.i can't forget that day ever in my life.i love u sona.

Ishita -I love u more happy.

Raman -I called u to inform u that I will wait till her classes r over and come with her only.u prepare lunch for us.we will come together.

Raman disconnected the call and sat comfortable on the bench.he remembered the day twenty four years ago.

Both turned to see their new neighbour Mr.bhalla was coming towards them holding hand of aboy.

Mr.bhalla-u seems worried.everything ok.

Mr.iyer-what to say .this is my daughter ishita.I had admitted her in kindergarten yesterday but she is not going inside.

Mr.bhalla-ishita nice name.

Mr iyer-thanks actually we have named her sonakshi but changed it because she can't pronounce it properly.


Mr bhalla picked the crying ishu in his arms and asked,what's ur name.

She replied -ithita

Mr bhalla pecked her and asked-how old is she.

Mr.iyer-2and half years.

Mr.bhalla-I shouldn't say but don't u think she is too small .

Mr.iyer-I know but I couldn't take care of her and manage my work simultaneously.

Mr.bhalla-where is her mother.

Mr.iyer-she died last week.

Mr.bhalla-I am sorry.can I ask what happened.

Mr.iyer-actually she was suffering from cancer and died last week.after completing her cremation I got transferred to Delhi.now I can't take care of her alone .so thought of school but even after school also she will be alone.i am looking for a maid.

Mr.bhalla-I have an idea .this is my son Raman .he is also in kg.he can take care of her in school and take her along to home where my wife can take care till u return.where do u work.

Mr iyer-ministry.

Mrbhalla-great I also work there.we r not only neighbours but colleagues also.

Mr iyer-that's so sweet.but I don't want to trouble u people.

Mr.bhalla-what trouble we r neighbours.we should help each other.

Mr bhalla bend down and asked ishita -ishu this is my son Raman.would ulike to be his friend.

Raman this is ishita.do u want to be her friend.

Ishra look at each other for the first time.raman was a healthy boy of three and half years wearing glasses ,a bag on his back and water bottle in his hand.ishita was a cute little girl wearing uniform and her hair was tied in a pony.her eyes were red and puffy due to continous crying.they nodded .

Mr. Bhalla-since u r friends now.Raman u have to take care of her.she is too small.

Raman -ok papa.he extended his hand towards her,she hold it firmly.

Soon they were gone inside the school.

Their fathers were also gone.

Raman offered her seat beside himself.she settle down but was still sobbing.

Raman wiped her tears and said-don't cry sona.

Ishita was confused whom he is addressing

Ishita -my name is ithita not sona.

Raman -I know but I will call u sona because ur name was sonakshi and u dazzle like gold.

Ishita smiled for the first time since morning.

Ishita -what's ur name

Raman -Raman Kumar bhalla

Ishita -laman

Raman -not laman its Raman.

She started crying because she can't pronounce his name.

Raman -ok let it be.u can call me happy.its my pet name

Ishita -happy.

They smiled.
