Yeh Hai Mohabbatein cast pays tribute to APJ Abdul Kalam

The sudden death of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam definitely left the world shocked. The most loved President of India, also known as the Missile Man was not just a visionary, but also helped the nation work towards achieving big dreams.

People all across paid tribute to the man with statuses, pictures and posts on social networking.

And astonishingly the humble cast of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein also gave respect to the deceased President in a very special way.

Shared a source, "The production people got a framed poster of APJ and placed candles along with it. The entire team comprising of the cast and crew came together and paid their homage. They also prayed for his soul to rest in peace."

We called up the pretty Shireen Mirza, who plays Simmi in the show who shared, "It was a beautiful thing that the production did. I feel APJ Abdul Kalam is a man who has inspired everyone from across all fields. Even though he was not connected to the TV industry, he is above all. I don't think we have ever seen such a positive leader and it was our duty to at least pay a last tribute to him. We were all pleasantly surprised to see the picture and together we prayed for his peaceful journey."
