I'm sorry, but have they lost it?

Why can't they think of other ways to include Shagun? I'm totally fine watching her 3rd love story as a positive person. In fact that would be a WELCOME change for desi TV - where a vamp actually redeems herself.

BUT WHY should she have the right to bear Ishita & Raman's symbol of love? Hell, if they don't want Ishita to be able to bear a child - bring in a few person.

Back in the early 2000s - Kkusum had a surrogate mother turned into Sautan, which led to a separtion of the leads with the FL being pregnant too.

Now in YHM why in hades name would they want to show a Sautan who almost killed her children & emotionally abused them be a surrogate mother?

Plus for almost 2.5 months now, Raman expresses his desire to have Ishita experience what it feels like to become a mother & part of that involves bearing a child. I would actually like if they showed Ishita failing to get pregnant a few times before success.

That's reality - not a sautan turned surrogate.

Shagun is important to the show as Ruhi & Adi's mother. As a reformed woman, she brings more dynamic to the relationship of the two mothers & two children...especially if Ishita has her own child.

There are many possibilities for Shagun, her love story, her revenge on Ashok, her relationship with her kids, and so on...but please let this be a horrible non-spoiler article.

We've stuck with this show through the Mani debacle, the sautan sagas, the Subbu track but this track could finally end up being the last nail in the coffin for most of us.

If a surrogate mother is needed, then whats the point of making Raman say that he wants Ishita to know whats it like to carry a baby?

And is Shagun Arora the only woman in the world who can volunteer for the job if it has to happen this way, cant there be a new character or say an existing character who volunteers to do so?

Phoebe gave birth to her brother and his wife' triplets in Friends and Sushmita Sen did it for her friend Tabu in Filhaal, cant we have say Simi or Mihika volunteer for this if its necessary why Shagun?

(3) women who are infertile but get a chance at love & family.

I was appalled with the ending of HIMYM but that was palatable because you didn't have a woman who cheated get her life back. No matter how much Shagun reforms, you cannot wash away all your past sins unfortunately. Everything of the past haunts the characters - from Raman to Romi to Ashok...so why does this not apply to Shagun?

I don't have a problem with Shagun if she has a substantial role that doesn't violate what most of us thought was the core of the story. I actually liked the original Shagun sketch because she was a woman who made a decision for herself & lived with it.

There are two types of surrogacy. In IVF method, they baby remains genetically unrelated to the surrogate. In traditional method, the surrogate can be impregnated naturally or artificially but the baby will be genetically related to her.

In either way, it will be totally disgusting in case of IshRa.
