I have been living in the US for about two months now and I have seen Americans making fun of George Washington, Lincoln, JFK etc for good laugh. Everyone sees it as some lighthearted fun, not an offense.

I haven't seen the video , so I don't have any idea of what they have said.. But I personally feel that mocking at our own constitution and freedom fighters shouldn't be welcomed or supported.. Our freedom fighters are remembered and respected worldwide for their sacrifices and braveness.. And our constitution is the world's longest one and noted for its uniqueness of being partially federal and partially unitary in nature.. We ourselves should not humiliate it in the name of comedy or humor..

This is just my POV.. Nothing against RD and KP.. But I'm pretty sure they would have not said anything seriously hurting in a TV show watched by millions.. So maybe something tiny is exaggerated I think..

Exactly, well said.

Our Constitution embodies the law and the values that govern the land and the people and should not be taken so lightly. It was crafted after so much of effort, by taking key features from several other constitutions. And it is our fundamental duty to respect it.

Dunno what was said so I will reserve my comment. But if it was anything derogatory against our freedom fighters or our Constitution a big thumbs down from me. Critique is one thing, disrespect is another.

The video was off-screen, so blaming RD, KP n EK is not done coz they didn't record it. The person who recorded the video did it for publicity and the freelancer is doing the same thing now. Moreover, everyone makes fun like this, don't we do this kind of fun in our college life or when we hang out with our close friends?

Off-screen? Still people are creating ruckus out if it! 😲

This is not about KP or RD or EK...

the point is...no-one should make fun of our national heroes and our constitution...neither us, nor the celebrities...

if we only dont respect our nation and its treasures (yes national heroes, are the treasure of a nation) then who will ??

yeah agree wid u
wat few say here n there is irrelevant 😆 completely

case toh banega national offence hai

That's the problem for us, we make things hard for ourselves. US citizens make underwear using their national flag yet the rule of law is far better than what we have here in India.

I am a student of law, those who are saying it's a punishable offense know nothing about law.
As far as the celebs go, it's always good to have this kinda publicity, specially if it's a country like ours.

see, this is how we are...if we want to change the constitution or any other changes in the law...we have to do that with proper discussions and yes, voting without fail, that too to the right candidate...

but as of now this is the law...and it states that no individual can insult the national honor in any ways...so it shud be followed...by all...whether its us common people or the celebs...and we shud obey it, even if it means punishing our favorite celebs, as they also come under the same law and constitution ...and we shudnt be partial towards them, even if we are their fans...

thats all my point is...and this is not bt KP or RD...this is a general trend through out India...During elections, we vote for bollywood actors, based on their on-screen persona...we march against the punishment metted out to a Salman Khan, despite him killing so many people, just cause he is an hero on-screen...
