I'm here with a small OS. This is not based on the current track of our YHM. Hope you like it...

Note: In this IshRa haven't confessed yet.

And I know I have to update my SS but this is my 2500^th post. So wanted it to be bit special, so giving an OS

And yeah, I dedicate this OS specially to my sister and mentor, My Mehku di (..Mehak..) 😃

Happy Birthday!!! 🥳 Have a great year ahead. This one's a small gift from my side on your birthday on one of your favorite songs (I have tried added the lyrics in between).Love you 🤗

It was normal day in Bhalla household. Kids went to school and raman to his Office. Ishita chose to stay at home as she was having no appointments for the day. Just then her phone rings

"Hello Dr.Ishita"

"Hello Dr.batra"

"Actually aapke paas jo patient no.12 ke papers hai, kya aap use bhej denge" [Can you please send the papers of patient no.12]

"Yaa sure. I'll come right away"

"No that's not needed. I'll send someone over"

"Okay"

She hanged the call and went to her room to search for the papers.

"Kaha rakhe hai? Drawer main... nahi cupboard main rakhe honge " [Where did I keep? In drawer...no I kept it in cupboard]

She rummaged her cupboard a bit and found the papers. She took it out and in that process a book fell down. She kept her papers aside and picked up the fallen book.

It was diary. "Yeh kiska hai" [Whom does this belong to?]

She opened the book. Name was written in bold letters "RAMAN KUMAR BHALLA"

"Aiyoo... Yeh toh raman ki diary hai. Yeah... Padhte hai" [This is Raman's diary.Yeah... Let's read]

She opens the first page.

06^th January 2007

Today, Shagun and I went out for shopping. She brought...

"Arrey... mujhe yeh nahi padhna hai" [I don't want to read this]

She turned some more pages

18^th December 2013

Ufff... these madrasis irritate a lot.

"Raman bhi na..."

14^th February 2014

Aaj meri shaadi hai...who bhi kisse...with that irritating Miss.Iyer

"hmm... Irritating and me...hmph"

30^th April 2014

I'm afraid of cockroaches

Today she was looking extremely pretty in red dress.her hairs, minimal make-up..."

"This raman...he writes all useless things. Nothing interesting"

Just then, something interesting meets her eyes. The last page i.e, yesterday's date

Whenever I see Ishita, I feel something different. Kuch kuch hota hai

I feel like...

Raman comes into room "Ishita someone's waiting..."

He stood shocked. His diary in her hands. He rushed near her and snatched it away from her.

"Arrey Raman. When did you come?"

"Tabhi jab tum jasoosi kar rahi thi" [When you were spying]

"Jasoosi?" [Spying?]

"Aur kya? Sharam nahi aati.Doosron ki diary padhte huve" [Then what? Aren't you ashamed of reading other's diary]

"Kuch bhi" [Anything]

"Yeh meri nahi mihir ki diary hai" [This is not mine but Mihir's diary]

"Accha toh phir do na" [Oh then give it to me]

"Bas karo yaar. Everything has limits. You can't check my...I mean my brother's diary like this"

"Wo mera bhi bhai hai na" [He is even my brother]

"Chup. Go down, some one's come from your clinic"

"Oh...papers"

She runs down taking the papers. Raman took a sigh of relief

"Agar padh leti toh mere dil ki baat pata chal jaati usko and uske liye surprise nahi hota. Ab even I'll confess tonight.Wait Ishita" [If she would have read it. It wouldn't be a surprise anymore]

He quickly emptied the contents of his bag. He took out a deep red sari and hanged it in her cupboard. He also kept the matching jewelry he had brought for her on the dressing table. He left the place taking the diary with him.

He again left for office. Ishita went for searching his diary again.

"Kaha rakha hoga? Kya likha tha usme? What if raman wants to tell what I want to hear. May be or maybe not. Oh god! Diary...where are you?"

She tries finding it everywhere but in vain. She finally quits and settles on her bed. She again looks at the whole room. She notices a new sari hung with her old ones. She goes and picks it

"Raman might have given it." She hugs it

She turns to the mirror and keeps the sari on her and also notices the box of jewelry. Her happiness grew no bounds after this. She decided to confess her love for him today what so ever may happen.

She cooked up a plan and sent everyone out. Now she was alone and Raman was yet to come. She changed into the red sari and clad herself with the jewels, applied some minimal make-up and prayed for the clock to tick faster.

She dimmed the lights of the room, arranged some candles and flowers and eagerly waited for Raman to turn up.

Raman came home "Arrey itna andhera kyu hai?" [Why is it so dark here?]

He found his lady love seated in front of the mirror. He smiled and walked towards her.

Dehleez pe mere dil ki

Jo rakhe hain tune kadam

Tere naam pe meri zindagi

Likh di mere humdum

He saw her fully dressed in what he wanted to see her. He was extremely happy. He went and rested his chin on her shoulder and stared at her in the mirror.

Haan seekha maine jeena jeena kaise jeena

Haan seekha maine jeena mere humdum

Na seekha kabhi jeena jeena kaise jeena

Na seekha jeena tere bina humdum

He mouthed to her - beautiful and winked at her. She blushed at his words and looked down.

Sacchi si hain yeh taareefein

Dil se jo maine kari hain...

She made her stood up and lifted her chin. They shared an eye-lock. He smiled at her

Sacchi si hain yeh taareefein

Dil se jo maine kari hain...

Jo tu mila to saji hain

Duniya meri humdum

He told " Bahot khoobsurat lag rahi ho. Waise you wanted to know right, what was written in that diary" [You're looking very pretty]

She replied "yes"

He said "Suno" and took out his diary. [Listen]

O aasma mila zameen ko meri

Aadhe aadhe poore hain hum

Tere naam pe meri zindagi

Likh di mere humdum

Raman "Iss main yeh likha hai ki - " [It is written that-]

Ishita "Jaldi bolo na" [Say it quickly]

He read aloud " Ishq tujhse karta hoon Main zindagi se zyada,

Main darta nahi maut se Teri judaai se zyada,

Chahe to azmale mujhe Kisi aur se zyada,

Meri zindagi me kuch nahi Teri mohabbat se zyada."

(My note: Howz this? I'm asking kyunki main shayar toh nahi 😳. Hope I made some sense here 😛)

"I Love you Raman" she hugged him

Raman "I love you too meri pagal madrasan"

Haan seekha maine jeena jeena, kaise jeena

Haan seekha maine jeena, mere humdum

Na seekha kabhi jeena jeena kaise jeena

Na seekha jeena tere bina humdum

They shared a long hug till their hearts felt content.

I'm the second one to comment! And coming to the OS, it was beautiful. I loved their simple yet satisfying confession. LOL Ishu's jasoosi mode on and she's reading Raman's diary, loved it just wished to have read more about the parts where he talked about Ishu, but still loved the way you wrote it! And I just want to mention, loved that small poem you wrote, so well written! And "I'm scared of cockroaches.😆" typical Raman there, loved it. Thanks for the wonderful OS! Keep writing fabulously and dazzling.😉
