Now here is what is called as an epilogue but for me it is called Before I Depart as this is something I and Char Kadam would like to share before we part...

I was here on the same bench in the same platform of the same station.
Wonder why I am here?
Obviously waiting for her!
Would she come?
I am sure she would!
Why am I so confident?
Because I know she love me!
What makes me think so?
The promise she made to me on the day we first met!
And today I reached on time rather way before the promised time.
I did not over work last night.
I did not skip my sleep.
I did not want to repeat the mistake I did last time.
I was here but where is she?
She was supposed to be here now.
I scan the platform for the umpteenth time expecting to see her angelic face.
There! There she is!
The angelic beauty!
The long silky hair swaying from right to left as she walks.
The big round eyes sparkling with a new glint as she looks at me.
The plump juicy lips curving into a smile as she comes closer.
Finally she is here!
I stand up mesmerised drowning in her beauty!
My joy knows no bounds to see her here this close to me.
She is here! She is here!
This is true!
She has kept her promise!
She loves me!
Am I jumping to conclusion too early?
Is she here to confess her love for me?
Should I wait for her to speak?
Are my expectations too high?
Am I ready for another heartbreak?
I don't know...I am clueless...
A jerk brings me out of my thoughts and I realise the jerk was caused by her ramming into me and snaking her arms around me.
She was in my embrace!
I put my arms around her and tightened the grip.
It was a heavenly feeling to have her in my arms after so long.
I didn't want to let her go.
My shirt was becoming wet and I heard her sniff.
"Hey! What happened?" I asked loosening the hold and trying to look at her face
But she clutched me tighter not letting me go.
"Shhh! Shhh!" I cooed patting her head gently to console her
"I missed you" she said between her sobs
I chuckled between the tears that had started to fall due to the overwhelming emotions of having her this close to me after so long
"I missed you too" I said
"I am sorry I made you wait for so long"
"I am sorry! I should not have let you go" I said
"I regret leaving you. I made a wrong choice"
"It wasn't your fault. The circumstances made you take that decision" I tried to comfort her
"After being away from you I realised how much I need you Viren. I can't live without you"
"Same here"
"I LOVE YOU"
Did she just say that!?
I was at loss of words...This happened finally...I was right...she loves me...she loves me...
"Viren please say something! Don't you love me now? Am I too late?" she asked looking at me expectantly
"No you are not"
"Then say something na please...Your silence is killing me" she was at the verge of crying
I took her in a warm hug and said "I LOVE YOU TOO and henceforth we will be called VirIka"
You were right Anamika when you said 'Sab achhe keliye hotha hai'
And I was right too when I said our story would complete on 14th Feb.

Chahti to meri anniversary ki update bhi de sakti thi...

"Haan...right. Raman ye log hamari anniversary gift dekhna chahte hain"
"Oh Achha! Tumne bataya inko uske bare me"
"Haan maine bataya. Par wo log dekh nahi paa rahe hain. Aap thodi si help kar do na"
"Sure why not!"
"Umm...ye" Raman said standing behind me and pointing at our reflection in the mirror "Ye hamara aks" and he slowly moves his hand downwards and places it on my tummy
"Aur ye hamara Ansh" I complete it for him
"Aur hamari Rooh...Ruhi" he added

We are Pregnant!
And with two kids!
Ansh is my gift for Raman and Ruhi is his gift for me!
"Ummm...Kya kar rahe ho Raman?" I feel nuzzling on my neck
"Apni biwi ko pyar kar raha hun"

"Sab kuch to dekh liya hai in logon ne"
"Sab kuch nahi dekha. Yaad hai na Lights Off, Curtain Close, Volume Mute"

"To ab chodo"
"Ummm...tumhe chodne ka dil nahi karta"
"Aisa hi hai to mujhe chod ke office kyun chale jathe ho?"
"You know na Jaan, office to jaana padega hi na"
"But I get bored Raman. Aap mujhe clinic jane bhi nahi dethe. Mummyji bhi kitty parties aur NGO ke kaam me busy rehti hain. Simmi bhi shadi ke baad Bangalore shift hogayi. Mai ghar par akele baithe baithe bore ho jathi hun"
"Hmmm...Baat to sahi hai. Par uska intezam maine kiya hua hai"
"Kya?" I asked excitedly
"Ek minute" He says lifting me off the ground and scooping in his arms
"Kya kar rahe ho Raman? I am pregnant"
"IKR. Kaise bhool sakta hun apni celibacy ko?" he says faking hurt
"Nautanki" I hit him playfully on his chest
He gently places me on the bed and keeps pillows to support my back against the headrest.
He then takes his phone out and does something
"Kya kar rahe ho Raman? Mujhe bhi batao" I ask impatiently craning my neck to see what he is doing
"Patience my dear. Sabr ka phal meetha hotha hai"
"Umm...ye raha...done" he says after a while
"Tumhara tab kahan hai?"
"Wo raha" I say pointing towards the side table "Par kyun?" I add
"Kaha na patience" he says reaching for the tab
"Apna mail open karo" he commands handing the tab to me
I do as instructed.
I see a mail from him.
No subject
No message
Only an attached PDF file
"Ye kya hai?" I ask him
"Download it" he orders
I download and save it.
The preview shows the first page
To my childish preggy wife Ishita
"Novel?" I ask excitedly
"Haan...Tumhare liye likha hai. Jab bhi tum bore hogi, ise padh lena"
"Awww...Thank you Raman. I love you" I say hugging him
"I Love you too" he says hugging me back
"Ok...Ab mujhe jaana hoga. I will keep calling. Shaam me jaldi ajaunga. Take care aur tab tak ye novel enjoy karo" he says kissing my forehead and then leans towards my stomach kisses there and says "Bye Ansh aur Ruhi. Mamma ko satana mat ok. Papa will be back soon"
"Bye Jaan" he says waving his hand
"Bye Jaana" I say blowing a kiss at him
When did I become so lucky to have a loving life-partner like him!
I know I have become grumpy owing to my over-active hormones but he never once complains about it.
Poor him! His wardrobe is now filled with white shirts!
All thanks to the two lil naughty chunks growing inside me.
Every day I spend with him he gives me a reason to be glad of my choice.
I do not for a moment regret my decision of having chosen him over Viren.
Viren and the Char Kadam I spent with him is only a blurred memory for me.
While every step I walked with Raman remains as a clear image.
