Well, Iftekhar festival is named after a talented theater artist of Bhopal who died in early age. A cricket academy named after him organizes this festival each year to honor his work and give awards to renown Bhopalis for their achievements. My dad was the head of MP (Madhya Pradesh) news association 8-9 years ago and had attended the festival as a guest. Don't know about the current happenings though, that's why I asked.
