Exactly. Not to say I don't enjoy these scenes. I do. It's good to see the whole star cast in one frame creating humour. And these situational comic scenes are most welcome. But to what extent? Is this what will describe IshRa now. Every romantic scene interrupted, every plan foiled, their love story made into public news and then eventually when it comes to the point of conclusion the track whether confession or anything else, its so rushed.
And then the drama begins where Ishita is the flag bearer, protector, detective everything. They're not working as a team in anything. They'll show Raman as the dumb one there and take away the balance in their relation from that aspect as well..
No offence to anyone whose loving this track. I love a lot of scenes too. But I am done with seeing it be compromised and bought down to dust this pathetically.
Yep...I mean just yesterday we were discussing Ishita's insecurities, but on screen the CVs haven't touched on them in my POV (but I could just have missed out on the subtleness of it). Just watching the show, her rejections of Puttar's advances appear to stem more from her sense of responsibility than insecurities. And how Raman's constant linking of intimacy & babies could have a negative effect on her, but thus far we haven't seen any build up. I look forward to when they will pick up on this aspect again.
Then the Ishima vs Shagun mama drama will start and then Subbu's revenge. And like you said, given the predictive nature of the show...I am expecting either dumb Raman or rude Raman. [I really want to be proven wrong here]
I guess the problem is, I foolishly still hold the "mature" tag to this show given the fact they still have many sensitive issues they can touch on, but the reality is...the maturity is long gone. The themes may be mature enough for us to discuss, but they rarely play out on screen that way.
It's funny I don't watch this show on MTV-India, but Anu was telling me how they are dealing with the FL's insecurities about intimacy right now too...but the way they are dealing with it sounds really mature and meaningful. Not too heavy and not too light-hearted. So it is possible to keep an audience hooked and deal with sensitive topics.
Here, they have beautiful themes to tracks and many really sensitive issues they can deal with in a balanced fashion, should they choose, but they rush the topics that we find meaningful.
I watch TV for enjoyment and to trash my mind for 25 minutes, and so I'm happy to see light-hearted moments on screen but overall I guess I just need to further lower my expectations.
