For a long time YHM has shown BOTH the lead characters to be strong personalities.
Raman was a self-made businessman who was extremely successful. He was always shown to be a go-getter. Remember the time when Ishita lost her dental license, Mihir told Raman "Bhai, I know if you decide on something, you will go to any extent to achieve it".
Both Raman and Ishita have had their share of issues in their life prior to marriage and they both learnt to heal each other's problems and became a huge support to each other.
Raman always had his weak points - he was too emotional and Adi was his biggest weak point. However, over time he learnt to stand up for Ishita as well (remember the time when Shagun was asked to move to Amma's house and Raman had a talk with Adi once he was back from camp. He tried telling Adi that he had his duties towards Ishita as well).
Raman has helped solve problems faced in Ishita's home as well (Bala's case, Appa's financial problems, etc.).
However, these days Raman has been shown to be a weaker personality. I really hoped that Raman would fight to bring back Ruhi. However they didn't show him taking any drastic steps for this cause. It really was Sujatha who helped the situation.
CVs - Please bring back our strong Raman back to us. We KNOW Raman is better than what he has been shown as in the recent episodes. Make him the hero and make him rescue Ruhi and Adi from the kidnapping issue. That would help balance out the show.

I agree with you, but idk if I have any hope left.

The formerly strong RKB has been reduced to a man who illogically blames his wife, gets duped by Shagun, or romances his wife.

What's worse is they always have him make sweet promises to Ishita that he breaks in the very next scene.

The Bhallas used to be so relatable because they made mistakes & were grey, as we are in life. But now they just take this quality of the Bhallas & make them look like the most selfish family ever.

This show became famous because it had a strong make & female lead, but now that strong male lead is almost dead weight.

Despite all this - I will try to keep a very ray of hope that Raman gets to be the hero & add positive substance to the plot.
