Her role in Rang De was outstanding too... there can be no one like Anupam in Saransh though but she is a close second for me when it comes to portraying feelings of a bereaved parent
I lived in Delhi during the 1984 riots😭 and saw it all unfold... so this movie is maybe something I should watch. My favorite place on fire... my favorite people almost destroyed

What a moving update. II gets to see the son RnB. A deeply hurt kid who misses his mother, agonizes over her untimely death in private. He has fought hard to keep his grief private. And II's perceptive comment about Chachu and the nostalgia from visiting his mothers friend brings all the emotions he had bottled up to the forefront. II amazed me with her quiet mature support.

Seeing her vulnerable in bed has changed him I guess. II knew he was bound to be hurt but seeing him share his feeling is the probably the best thing she has received from his post marriage. That is what she wants. They now feel like a couple who understand the strength they can be to each other provided they stay open and expressive. He was hoping she would be his Iyer warrior didn't he. He picked right she has the potential to drive his misery away and leave him with bittersweet craving for his mother. She oils loved to see him married and go through life with a partner like II - goofy and affectionate a perfect foil for his subtle and understated sincere demeanor.

Had dropped off to sleep when I intended to stay awake. Then woke up to this in an hour! I'm glad I woke up!

N then returning back in a car...we were 5 of us in the car, n noone would speak to another... Like nothing to say, like someone we knew had died n we were all in shock!! Have you guys watched maachis?... I wont call it fav, coz I dont like sad movies... But its deffo a movie That made me look at the other side of the coin... Something that even roja did!! 😭

Me too me too. Consciously try to stay away from sad movies, but cry uncut rollable if I do happen to see any. It's very stupid but I cry even while watching soaps sometimes. An also a sucker for ok'd songs. I feel listening to them gives you that much needed release sometimes. So I deliberately listen to them cry and then all is well again on my planet.
