@Phoenix, first of all this topic it is like comparing apples to oranges.
But, since you have raised it, let us take the comparison. Ishita / Raman / Shagun scenario is completely different and so is their relationship. Shagun's relations with Raman are too acrimonious for her to even try to inveigle herself and advise Raman. do you think raman will even think of listening to Shagun if she advised him ? Yes, Shagun was Raman's first love and she did try to get back into his life. But, when she walked out of Raman's life it was not because she was blackmailed into it, she left of her own accord and for her own materialistic gain ! She left Raman when he was vulnerable.
As for the trio of Mihir / Rinky and Mihika. This triangle is completely different. Mihika for all intents and purposes got married to Ashok to save Mihir's life and now due the difficult marital circumstances she has returned to her maternal home. Mihir is feeling guilty due to the fact Mihika's life if destroyed trying to save him. Rinky's behavior is totally irrational because she is suddenly trying to be possessive. until now she was just friends with Mihir. I like the fact that she is giving her marriage a chance. But to suddenly turn into the jealous possessive person does not suit the circumstances of their marriage. Rinky to behave as a jealous wife, first should have gotten the signal from mihir that their marriage has progressed to a level above that of friends. The drastic decision of leaving Mihir and moving to Bhalla house smacks of childishness.
What was lacking is she should have spoken with Mihir and gotten a clearer picture of their marriage. Yes, it is would have been a little difficult to accept Mihika's advice if their marriage would have been that of Mihika wanting to get back together with Mihir or vice versa. That is not the case. Mihika encouraging Mihir is just her way of telling Mihir to move on with Rinky and nothing else !
May be I am wrong in my way of thinking... but I would like to give Mihika the due for stepping back and pushing Mihir to move on in his marriage with Rinky.
