I have always felt that Ishita is partial towards her family members - Iyers.
When Bala was suspended from the college in paper leak case and media took bytes, she went running to Raman to use his power and stop the interview from being telecasted, as she believed her BIL was innocent. But when Raman used his same power to bail out Mihir from Mihika's MMS fiasco as he believed in his innocence, she blasted him stating - " Does he think he can buy anybody through his money ?"
In fact during this fiasco itself, she directly went and blamed Romi and asked him to take his statement away without even hearing his side. She just declared him as the culprit.( Yes ! We as an audience were aware about Romi's deeds but Ishita wasn't aware and there was no folly also of Romi which had come out in front of her eyes which would prove Romi wayward in her eyes at that time.)
During Mihir's engagement also, she once again decided to create a drama by faking Mihika's engagement without taking into consideration that what effect it would have on Bhalla family's reputation.
So, I feel Ishita has always been partial towards Iyer's wheneve the need of choosing came between Bhallas and Iyer's. And she is doing the same once again here. Instead of explaining Rinki, she should explain Mihir and later when Mihika recovers she should talk to her also instead of consoling Rinki that it is just friendship.
