I stopped it since last week Friday. The last time when I had stopped watching was Adi medicine overdose crap- just cudnt take whatever CVs were trying to teach kids through it.😕(If ur parents dont listen to ur demands u can play tricks by consuming wrong medication n emotionally blackmail them.🤢). I feel disgusted n ashamed myself for falling this nonsense. Its an insult to everyone's intellect whoever is watching this show.

I think this one is going to be a long rant but I hope at least some of the people in forum dont fall for this show after reading this rant.

What is the show trying to propogate through social cause? Which social cause has been successfully handled by CVs that they will handle this Marital rape track?

What is the overall message of the show?

U cheat on ur husband n have a nasty divorce n yet Husband pays for all ur bills n takes care of ur luxuries n welfare even after all that bitterness u had with ur Ex. Its a win win situation for women like Shagun, she has no social standing, no responsibility for kids n yet she gets away with things easily. Things r offered to her on a golden platter. Its like the new Deepika Padukone Video - I want to have sex outside marriage, my choice. Shagun has been living her life on her own terms as per her choices n thriving while manipulating her ex, ex's family, ex's wife, her own children n getting away with it easily coz Leads have been dumbed down.

While on the other hand well educated, independant and working professional like Ishita is reduced down to a Bechari who gets tortured by her husband, in laws n husband's ex all the time? If u r educated and working professional like Ishita, Mihika, Sarika, Rinki or even Simmi - u r doomed for life. Either u wud b manipulated in tying Rakhi to ur molestors or marrying molestors or getting pregnant out of wedlock or choosing marriage over studies or be a financial burden on ur brother n father. There is no way out? So if u r uneducated and a finance n blood sucking parasite like Shagun then u will be able to survive but if U r any of the ladies above U will be made a scape goat for familial or societal pressures. Our Government is trying so hard for Beti Bachao n Beti Padhao schemes to balance the sex ratio in society n serials such as these r trying to show that educating Girls is of no use as they will face more problems in life if they more educated, Girls r born to get molested or get raped.

I spoke about women now Its turn for portrayal of Men in this serial -

Every Male character (good or bad) disrespects women from Raman (constant verbal abuse on Ishita, Man handling), Romi (MMS, Getting Sarika pregnant n disowning his own child), Ashok (molestation, rape), Permeet(Molestation, rape), Suraj (MCP). Mihir is almost on the verge of having an extra marital affair (god knows what drama Cvs have in mind for this character). We saw Bala 24 slipping for young college going girl while his wife was pregnant with his child. We have already seen Subbu's awesome thinking about women being used as child making machines. Mani Ishita's best friend for life chooses to forget about her during her tough times n appeared only to destroy her marital peace. In general some way or other Most of the men r vile who torture their wives/ gfs/ friends. There is nothing called sutblety or having a Man who is flawed but not so flawed that we cannot connect with them at all. What is the point in watching Ishra menaningless Romance when wesee Raman character torturing Ishita day in n out.

I think I should really not talk about Children's portrayl in this show.Its beyond disgusting.🤢

Overall I feel watching this serial is an insult to womanhood. The makers try to market it as a pro feminist storyline but m sorry to say this storyline is not doing justice to anyone, the least to women.

Moral of the story is Makers r earning big bucks n m just getting a headache out of it n as I m not liking what m getting in return, I prefer to stay away from this show.

Sorry if my post sounds harsh. I didnt intend to demean people watching. I know that trp audience normally at 7.30 pm its usually dinner time or dinner preparation time. So they dont wTch a show with all their heart and souls invested into it. Usually the Tv is just switched on and things r done in the background like cutting vegetables or cooking etc😆believe me I too do it (except I finish my cooking in morning n do my work while watching this show along side).

But beyond that I cant take negativity as a person, I can take Mindless comedy but not mindless drama n romance (not vulgar or offensive comedy though). So even if I am nkt emotionally invested in this show any longer, I feel drained out watching Sad stuff. i wud rather choose to watch happy stuff than sadness.

As far as Men being shown as scumbags is concerned well they r not portraying women properly, So no expectations from them that they wud b showing a proper portrayal of men.😆

Megha - I feel you👍🏼... entertainment is different for different people. some like mindless comedy, some even like vulgar comedy, some like dark stories, some like romances... but the whole point is, while watching, the viewer should gain some level of satisfaction. there is only so much that can be ignored... and add to that, if there isn't entertainment anymore, then what's the point😳
