I come across many posts where members mention as trp aunties, seriously I have a doubt. Most of the time only gents are in the house with tv remote during the prime time of tv shows. They pass their comments and taunts on the show as well as on the family members watching it. Then why to call as trp aunties in the first place?

Note: (Just my POV)
Is that the opinion, ladies pacify themselves by supporting female leads cry all the time on tv screen?
I think it is the sadism of male to see the pain of ladies even on a reel frame.

Well In dian most of Mens come home from Office post 9 - 10 . Hence mostly post 9 is Men Hour .
Before that Its all Ladies and Kids who watch it .

The Major Reason why we got a Strong Sensible Raman is because 11pm time Men watch TV shows . So showing Raman they way they are showiing now will obviously hated bt them .Because MEN hate Drama and Illilogical Behaviour and they just cant bear Emotional Attyachaar .
Had 7:30 pm been shown at that time YHM would't even have got Fame that it got being at 11pm.

Women are Emotional , They feel for the Charcater and If you have MCP male acting as a jerk with his Wife making the heroine Bechari they feel for her and connect .7:30 Raman totally fits the TRP slot .

This is what I think 😛
our country is slowly getting more and more progressive than before with more n more progressive n serials are simultaneously getting more and more regressive.Worse,these so called mind baffling,logicless,extremely regressive shows which lack basic common sense are watched and appreciated by women mainly and not men!! These shows which show women to be meek,happily taking insults from anyone,without self respect,who never stand up for themselves but stand up for any xyz and who are too good natured that they appear to be foolish,are rewarded with high trps by women viewers only!!

Any serial heroine who has an ambition/goal in life,who is strong headed with self respect who wears whatever she wants,suddenly changes her entire personality aftter marriage n she has to wear sarees after marriage. Salwar suits/western wear not allowed since they are not "sanskari".Wonder why no rule for men after marriage!!

negativity,injustice to the female lead and sadism have the power to pull the viewers to the shows.
High trp serials show the female lead to be constantly insulted,plotted against.The lead also doesn't protest and bows down and never answers.This wins the lead, immense viewer sympathy.The viewer develops huge anxiety after watching the episode. The viewer gets depressed but still watches the show out of anxiety,curiosity and out of hope for the female lead to get justice and for the exposure of the vamp.Thus trps don't fall.Finally after many episodes when the vamp is exposed,the viewer gets a lot of happiness and relief and the trps shoot up.Some positive episodes are shown and then the negativity and viewer anxiety again start.This is a vicious cycle in which the viewer is trapped.

I read somewhere this the psychology used behind making serials n I completely agree with that !

And what surprises me more is such shows r made by females.

Producer se lekar writer tak all r females 😲

@red: excellent.
I just quote the words of Ms. Sandberg and Adam Grant, a business professor, wrote in a New York Times article today about men and women in the office, "A man who doesn't help is busy'; a woman is selfish.'"

Yes, mocking of ladies is done in all sector.

Yes I agree to certain extent of what u mention. But @bold: is it really true before 9P.M (IST) tv shows are for ladies and kids?

What about the retired uncles who switch on the tv set even before ladies ( I certainly know a lot atleast in my surroundings)?

@blue: yes, accept it with pain.
@red: Its smart business

The last two lines of yours really raise a question why no serious oppose to them as Ekta is in the field for long time? ( I have not watched other serial of hers)

-Look at this forum itself or any hindi soap forum 90 percent ppl r females only 😛
Females emotionally attached to the show they feel n connect more with the characters. This is what I feel my opinion only. 😳

Why so??

Maybe retired gents watch tv shows but they comprise very low percentage.
but ladies of all group watch tv shows.
