For me . I've my entire sat planned around the 10.00 am muhurtham - its called the Do Not Disturb Mum time- this sat at home 😆

Wow...I got so far behind in this... at least I made it before the 'Dum Dum Dum' moment...😆A late entrance, but that's always my style anyway!😉

I am really loving all the details about the clothing and rituals Nisha, you are educating a whole lot of people about the customs and doing so in a very relatable and fun way as well.

The way you have drafted this whole wedding sequence, with the mamas and mamis.. so well done. Really brings the people alive , even if they are only making a guest appearance. And all of them are so realistic, like your hero & heroine they are not perfect human beings and have their faults but I love that you also point out their joy and natural curiosity about the wedding and the couple. To this I have to say- I love that no one is all black or white, everyone is shades of grey... except maybe Subbu which is understandable.🤣

On that note did you mentioned Subbu's reaction/knowldege to of the wedding... did i miss that? Or was that one of those 'I'll tell you about it later' moments in the chapters? Because I am curious... and sadistic ... and enthusiastic..😉

Now onto the my favourite parts. I am loving how much and how well you are revealing the characters for us. R&B's dad is now my new favourite person... should i say that? Because he is so amazing. He is everything you want in a father and spouse and his kindness and sacrifice just makes him so much more appealing. His yearning for his son , for his wife- it's just heartbreaking- he clearly needs & loves II as much as his son...

And then our hero- I love how much we are able to see his love for II in his actions and words, though he hasn't changed in character at all because of that love. He is still the same man and yet we can see the love in everything, perhaps because we are privy to more of his thoughts then her right now. And the his view of her parents , i like that he isn't trying- that he is who he is, for everyone and they can take him or leave him. But I really loved that moment when he saw his mother in Ammah. It's such a complement to her and also speaks of his deep love for his mother and yearning for her. Her ghost will forever haunt this broken Bhalla family and I don't suppose that will ever changed, even when all the truths are revealed.

And out heroine... can I tell you frankly that I love the way you are describing her feelings about this wedding and what is to come? It is so real. Knowing everything, trusting him and loving him ..still there is that slight nervousness and fear that isn't being helped by all the teasing by those around her. I don't think I've come across another piece recently that describes this nervous anticipation so very well. Wonderful job.👏👏

And finally Ammah & Appah. I loved her softening and his reluctant acceptance. I love that they all admit that this mamma/maaplilai relationship won't be easy or simple, but that it is. And I really love the relationship between Ammah and Appah. They balance each other out in a very different way then II + R&B but it's a very sweet relationship and I love how you describe it all. Their little moments of grief and possessiveness at the wedding are so realistic as is their fear of their daily life without their little kutty.

Also special mention to Manny.. I love how you crafted her. She loves her brother and wants his happiness but her misgivings are also very valid and I am very glad that you have such a character in her as well.

I'm going to end it here because it's getting pretty long. But I just wanted to let you know that I'm still reading and appreciating and as loving getting lost in this world as I ever did. It's a wonderful pace to be... thank you very much for the creation and invitation.😊

I read "Self Doubt" earlier but I started off my catching up marathon by re-reading that part. It's one of my favorites from what I have read already. 😊
This had formed in my mind while reading "Self Doubt" the first time around and I couldn't help but repost it with some new lines added at the end.
