@G: The thing about the blouses - I get you. in the beginning she was presented as 'glamourous/ ultra modern' woman..pretty much she was supposed to be the opposite of Ishita and in that sense int worked. Personally I still find some of the blouses especially bit much- I thought I saw side b*** in one and then others that looked like glittery strapless bras (thanks @Krishy), just unnecessary IMHO. I prefer the subtly sexy look myself... no need to put it all out there. But for sure when she wore them less often it worked, especially as a contrast to Ishu's clothes even when Ishita was dressed up she still was less exposed and it played to the characters. What we see now is just distasteful... plus I feel like the sequins would itch ...😆
As for your question about Raman's love for her. He himself admitted that she kinda led him around with her looks and he feel for that first. And to add on to @shadeslayer (I am sooo sorry, I am sure you said your name but I forgot- I'm super bad with names, so sorry- love your handle btw.😳) it was the 'I can't believe she's with me' thing for him. He felt so inadequate in terms of appearance, wealth, worth and he was so grateful that he made himself blind to all her faults.
The thing with the ISHRA love story is that it was also tangled in the same 'I'm not worthy' feeling.. but in a different angle. He didn't feel worthy of Ishita because she was so good, so kind... the unworthiness was respective to Ishita's inner qualities more then her outer because he now has confidence in his appearance and status... so in the end what he felt inadequate in himself he found in abundance in his spouse each time. But the difference is that once he got over the apparent hypnotic tune of Shagun's mole she could see the truth of her character... whereas with Ishu as he began to see the true brilliance of her character he began to appreciate her outer beauty more and more as well, or to be more honest to admit his appreciation of her looks more openly.
I am not saying Ishu isn't beautiful, DT is one gorgeous woman but one of the first digs he makes at her is regarding her looks, that's always an issue for Shagun as well- and though I believe that he was denying his attraction to Ishita's outer beauty in the earlier times, the more he realized her inner beauty, the more he began to openly admire her outer ones (the eye locks, the falls & catches etc) the less he began to feel himself worthy of her. And of course Ishu has the same 'I can't believe he'd ever fall in love with me ' view about him due to her own insecurities. I think I discussed the ISHRA love insecurity in depth in an earlier post a while back... but i just want to bring that point of comparison, hope it makes sense. 😊
I feel like the hate he now harbours for Shagun also contains a bitterness towards the man h used to be with her- the gullible fool that he would never be now, in his view. But the fact is that a lot of the Romantic, sensitive a sects of the current RKB is the man he was with Shagun, just with a bit more polish... and he is one adorable , sweet guy. No doubt in my mind that the guy that Shagun was talkin about showering her with romantic gestures on her is the same guy that showered Ishu with rose petals and booked out the place where she agreed to marry him for #god knows what number non-confession moment. Ishita is getting the best of both worlds... 😊
PS: I too am wondering about all these 'I'm looking to getting married again this time happily ' 'what if this had been how we met' clues coming from RKB... so don't think that's a coincidence. CVs are pretty smart in laying tracks in passing statements from my experience. In which case I am so excited tfor whatever is at the end of that rainbow!😉 #Maybe overthinking it #Maybe not #We got ISHRA re-engagemtn so why not re-wedding #This time Punjabi style #Looks like Rinki's wedding prep might fall through #Wistful thinking😉
Hey Anu! My fault- I have never really introduced myself😆. I am Supriya- just call me Su!.
Agree with all of your points. I guess the difference is that though there has been this inferior feeling of RKB in both his relationships- Shagun always tried to show that she is more than he deserved whereas Ishita always tries to show him that he deserves so much more. Dunno if i made sense there.
As for Shagun's blouses- It was fine when they showed her wearing such stuff occasionally on screen, but everyday? Nah! Looks overdone and plus- Who wears that kind of stuff anyways? not to mention in Delhi's winter without a shawl. Beats me!
