Unres* so i ended up finishing d first part by d night!😊
Ok this TS is supposed to hv 2/3 parts.(Though i do not promise writing further parts, this part is infact complete in itself!)
This part has has lots of Gifs, so please allow d gifs to load bfor u start reading. Infact dis part is mainly based on d memories in the gifs/pics. N for every gif, do take d time out to watch d entire gif properly.
Also the title of the TS isnt d most appropriate.😆Actually i got d idea of dis TS while listening to d song( Chittiyaan kalayiyaan ve is a song from d bollywood movie Roy), so gave it the same name. (Do suggest an alternate title if u hv somthing better in mind!)

Those who cannot undestand d hindi dialogues, full english version here: English Version

TS: Chittiyaan Kalayiyaan ve (which means my white wrists)

Part 1:

It was Rinki's wedding ceremony in the evening, and ofcourse, the Bhalla house was a noisathon with the last minute preparations and ceremonies on in full swing.

"Oye Ishita, mithaiyaan aaa gayiaan ne the le aa chetti, mennu jaldi se Rasam ishtart karni hai!" Toshiji commanded Ishita as she was herself busy with Simmi and a few of her female relatives in setting up d stage for a few morning rituals that needed to be done.

"Bass ayee mummyji!" Ishita responded.

"Shravu, Ruhi dono bhaagna band karo abhi aur jaake dari pe baitho, Rinki bua ko choora pehnayenge abhi thodi der mein! Chalo good babies!" Ishita tried to get the kids in control as she headed towards her mother in law with the Mithai.

Ruhi: "Ishima, pehle meri Mehendi to dekho!"

"Wow Ruhi, color kitna pyaara aaya hai na!" Ishita spoke taking one of her daughters hands in hers.

Ishita: "Chalo abhi aap Simmi bua aur Pammi aunti ke saath jaake baitho, Ishima abhi aati hai aapko wahan join karti hain"

Ruhi:"Ok Ishima!"

Raman and Romi were busy instructing the caterers and decorators, of course it was their little sister's wedding, they wanted everything to be perfect.

"Raman, aap bhi aa jao na jaldi se..bus hum function shuru karne waale hain!" Ishita shouted.

"O Lokesh, tu aa na agge, tu Mama hai, tune pehnana hai Choora" Toshiji called her brother. (Choora is the traditional Punjabi bangle set that brides wear on their wedding day- they hv to wear it upto 40 days after d wedding. Its the maternal Uncle who is supposed to put on the choora on the bride's hands. Here is a pic of d choora:

"Ishita, Raman, Romi, Madrasan, sab aa jaao agge, shuru karan lage ne!" Toshiji shouted.

Ishita came and sat down on the bedsheet laid on the floor, she covered her head with a chunni. Raman also joined her and soon the men of the house also covered their heads with a hankerchief.

"Aaye haye..kinni soni lag rahi hai meri kudi, sadke jaawan main tere utte" Toshiji blessed Rinki, who was dressed in a pretty baby pink salwar kameez.

The Choora was kept soaked in a bowl full of milk-water and rose petals.

"Chal puttar, ab hath agge kar, Mamaji pehnayenge na tujhe choora" Toshiji took Rinki's hand and engaged her brother so that they could start performing the ceremony.

Ruhi came and sat on Ishita's lap.

Ruhi: "Ishima, mujhe bhi choora chahiye! Ye kitna sundar haina"

Ishita: " Baby ye sirf jinki shaadi hoti hai wohi pehan sakte hain. Ishima ne bhi pehna tha na jab unki shaadi hui thi Raman papa se! Jab Roo ki shaadi hogi to wo bhi pehenegi, ok!"

Ruhi: "Ok Ishima, mujhe bhi ab jaldi se bada hona hai aur jaldi se shaadi karni hai taaki main bhi choora pehan sakoon aur dulhan ke jaise saj sakoon!"

Ishita smiled and Raman patted his daughter lovingly on the head.

As Lokeshji was putting bangles one by one on Rinki's hands,Ishita's eyes were transfixed on her, the whole scene took her down memory lane: her own wedding, the early days of her own marriage, memories of her own Choora..

She remembered how lovingly Toshiji had put on the choora on her hands, even though she had never admired Ishita initially, it had taken a lot of time for Ishita to make place in her heart.

She remembered all her "Choora-moments" with her very own husband..a smile crept on her lips..

Ye kya pehan rakha hai haathon mein..nikal phenko isko..jahan lagi hai wahi Choora de maara hai

Kahan lagi tumko, bas aise hi, naatak!

She chuckled remembering how they never got along during those initial days of their marriage. But there were sparks she had felt from the very beginning..there was something about his touch, she always knew.

Everytime he would grab her hand, everytime he would grab her choora/pull her holding her choora, she got that special feeling, that pati-wali feeling, that haq jatane wali feeling. And no matter how much her own ego and stubbornness, she would always give in when it came to him, such was his effect on her.

That time when he had held her tightly when she had gotten drunk at amma's anniversary.. that time while dancing during holi..

<Please allow all the images to load to check out all d memories Ishita is remembering. And please especially take notice of how d choora is involved in the memory, esp him holding/touching her hands and the choora>

There were so many of her special moments with him in dose days, dose related to her choora. The Choora she had worn for him.

Those pati-ke-naam ki cheezein.. the sindoor, the mangalsutra, the Chooda- at the time of her wedding she had no realisation of the meaning that these props held.
Infact she had zero expectations from the marriage, afterall it was a marriage sirf Ruhi ke liye. Moreover she never believed that love would come to her life again, she had lost faith in the entire concept of love, she had started to believe that whole institution of marriage was overrated.

But then this wedding had changed her life completely and reinstated all her lost faith. This marriage had fulfilled her, it gave her everything..things she had never imagined, things she had stopped hoping for- love, a loving family, kids, and now somewhere inside even a hope of being able to deliver her own child. More importantly, it gave her sense of security, the ehsaas of belonging to someone and being loved unconditionally, a feeling of completeness.

In disguise, she had infact gotten the best possible life partner, a wonderful companion, who she knew would support her through thick and thin, who would always take care of her, and she knew she would be there for him, always. And not to forget, what a handsome man he was!😉

<Please allow all the images to load to check out all d memories Ishita is remembering. Also only if could play the YHM title track slow instrumental flute version in d background! 😊>

She could never thank god enough for the level of happiness she was experiencing, she had gotten so much more than she had ever asked for. It was indeed a fairy-tale wedding for her, or even more than that.

She looked down at her mangalsutra, her eyes wet, she was overwhelming with emotions. She picked up her mangalsutra and kissed it.
And then she turned around to look at Raman, only to realise he was already looking at her.

"Kya hua" he spoke softly.

"Kuch nahi" she shook her head, wiping her tears.

He raised his arm to grab her hand and held it securely in both his hands.
