Amma convo - touching! Amma could only afford to speak with Akka this way voicing her concerns about II's immaturity. II would probably bristle and throw another tantrum if Amma had advised her to listen' to R&B. Her concern was so genuine so true - how can anyone else handle her baby firecracker. Hard isn't it for parents to let go

And Akka is the perfect older sibling here. Whilst the older ones are left to rally around and cover up, the younger siblings always- always- get away. Don't they? They invariably have the liberty to throw more tantrums and have everyone around succumb to it. Not fair. But it happens. Law of nature I guess 😆 I've been there in the past and can see my little one getting there too...😆

And so just like Akka to have R&B there- She knows exactly what her baby sister needs on her special day.😊

Hmm so R&B at Vandu's plc... Is it that II is going to ask for R&B to stop vying for shravu's love so shravu's fav person isforever II or is it that she'll want R&B to make her his fav n do whatever she says... Which would ultimately be a childish demand of leaving shravu for II... But I have full faith in you... You'll probably give them some II- R&B alone time :)

Liked the Amma Vandu convo. Like all moms she wants all that's good for her Ishitha.
Vandu lovely human being so happy where she is in life, absolutely adorable sis and now we know a scheming matchmaker too. She was the first one to plant the idea of marriage to II and RnBs head when he was all lost and sulking for II
What a Wondeful character - so unpretentious and and real giver to everyone around her parents, inlaw's, family and now to the blow hot and blow passionate couple!!

How am I going to wait to see what We have in store!!
Will trick my brain and get hate to do jobs done while waitingv for your "love to read" update! 🤗 🥳 😳

ammas will be ammas, whether is a love or an arranged marriage they have certain expectations from their daughters, yes I speak strictly for Iyer mothers and the ones that have like minded Moms that read this tale, no one else😆

I dont want a bunch of people on my tail saying "India is so modern Indian parents dont say such things...My mother is so modern, she wants only my husband to cook😆"... yes being the lil one has great advantages, in Tamil its called kadai kutti (the last one)

Whatever be the language race or culture they expect their daughters to be "wives"

I read a Indra Nooyi PepsiCo. CEO interview in Time magazine she said her mother was visiting, I think she is an Iyer (?) and she returned from a late night board meeting once at midnight her Mom was awake, and said "Oh! Good you are home, can you quickly go get milk, we are all out"

Indra was dumbfounded, she said "Why did you ask your son in law to get it?"

Her Amma goes "Oh he came home from work tired, and interacted with the kids and went to bed, how can I WAKE HIM?"😲 "Now be a good wife and go get some milk"

Indra said "Its hard to get out of that mindset...

No she didnt kick her Mom out or divorce her hubby😆 much to the chagrin of feminists

yes i did it today no white chocolate after dinner :-) and given i came into this country 5'3 ,90 pounds and gained a good 25 pounds post kids i am still considered in the normal category 😆 so i am ok but i see myself getting lethargic specially the past 2 years and living with a running freak doesnt help since i hate the dreadmill😆 . like GC /Hsp i love indian sweets too and sweets in general .So for me right now my new year resolution is to get fitter and have a healthy living habit .
So given the inspiration from folks me going to reduce my sweet intake and start hitting the dreadmill for atleast 30 minutes 3 days..kuch goal hona chahiye right 😃

Lifes WAY bigger than size zero, thats for sure absolutely * infinity!!!

II is a sensible, mature, self confident, ambitious, no nonsense person at work. She is a vulnerable, playful, demanding, impatient, emotional person outside of work. We all display different facets of our personality at work/college and at home... we lock up our impulsive childish immature self 9 hours a day and only bring it out when we get home... certain things are for the benfit of family alone

If we throw a tantrum at work or college we will get kicked out in a day, in that , we are all extremely mature😃 we know WHERE to be natural and where to be guarded.

There are many many ways for two people to fall in love, to get from point A to point B.

I could have crafted a mature Dadi Amma II character at home too, but deliberately did not. Ive seen too many of those 20 years in Desi soaps

She is not "child in a woman's body" type "Kitni bholi bhaali hai" types MENTAL either😆 One soap I did NOT watch had such a female lead...and many many Hindi movies have had too🤢

II is somewhere in between

Similarly he could have been chatty and boisterous and back slapping funny brash loud Punjabi in private... I didnt find that attractive at all😃

Maybe in the next story...😃

loved the Vandu/Amma convo pavam amma caught inbetween her own thoughts 😆 cute something all parents do they want their daughters to have the freedom but also want their SIL to have the cake and eat it too.. and loved how akka was thrilled with appa talking , and the tears and how protective they are both of II..

i have argued and argued with my mom saying how come my husband doesnt have to do this and she will say pavam di avan he just got back ...so my only solution is i plan to teach my son to cook and my SIL will cook for my daughter 😆
the whole 10 day wedding and folks coming to a wedding and finish their sight seeing so perfect ...is it warm in Delhi in march?
and Akka trying to fix a guest house so so so sweet!

Throughout the update i kept thinking when will R&B make his presence I mean he has to , i never thought akkas house though i thought may be late night or something so this was perfect..she missed his slippers aaaw and him ogling gosh.
like every ~200 updates i cant help but wait for the next .. just tell me when it is 😳

Taara no I am not a motivational speaker or anything but will say this

YOU probably do a handful of things WAY better than skinny size zero people😃

THAT will always be your strength,👏 Dont let anybody bog you down about your weight, one of the NICEST persons I have ever met in life works as a PR Mgr at my office and she wears size 18 or 20, she is 5'5", weighs 200 lbs I think... I am yet to meet a nicer human being... the last thing I think about when I look at her is how heavy or not she is... she will forever be talked about in the office as the most wonderful coworker...she is EVERYWHERE doing EVERYTHING for people, from fund raisers to setting up Holiday giving trees to working at homeless shelters to serving Sunday meals at the Rescue Mission, to doing clothes drives for abused women's shelters, to sending money to Haiti to organizing funds for the office janitor lady to be able to go home to Peru after 10 years...

She is ALWAYS on top...👏👏

If you can have 25 people say that about you in your life time Taara, I think its a greater compliment than 100 men salivating at you when u are a size zero...

Not ONE size zero person at my office can claim Kelly's honor, sure every man knows them

I bet you are amazing however you are...
