Oh I took the word impulsive in your comment in a different tangent.But yes ,I do agree he is emotional and loves his mom and what ever he does is just to make his mom happy and not for his own benefit.

In a way by just hitting him, he is giving Romi an escape route again. On top of that Romi is saying once bhai knows he will forgive. what the hell? Mr iyer wud have been in jail and Raman nearly lost his job. Now what will he tell his boss? That a relative indeed stole the cash, not his fil but worse, his own brother? Romi the good for nothing will be back to doing nothing all day, what a waste of life!
