Chapter 35
Raman came outside dressed in a formal black pants and sky blue shirt. Ishita is staring at him as he looks dashing and handsome. Ishita looks to see Raman caught on to her staring and shyly averts her gaze. Raman is okay with her being shy inside the room but when she steps out of the room he wants her to be JKR so he teases her saying " Oye Madrasan, Koor koor ki kya deharaki hai. Muja to pata hai mai handsome hoon and ladkiyan muj pe marthika"( Oye Madarasn what are you staring at. I know I am handsome and ladies fall head over heels in love me) Ishita gets miffed hearing her Ravan Kumar speak about other girls after the moment they shared she pouts her lips and cutely tells him " Kuch Bhi" which is exactly what Raman wants to hear but she surprises him saying no matter what other can look at you but you belong only to me and leaves in a huff Raman likes this side of his JKR.
In the hall Ruhi and Shravan are fighting as to whose mom look beautiful and Adi is trying to stop their fight telling them both of them look beautiful as they are sisters Ruhi and Sharvu agree to it. Madhavai and Toshjii hear the end of their fight and they continue their fight. Adi is trying valiantly to stop the elder's fight.
M - My daughter is beautiful. She looks like a goddess
T- My daughter-in-law is beautiful. She is an angel of this house.
A - Patti listen
M- Chup Adi Today I need to teach this loud Punjaban that what she says is always not true.
A- Dadi listen
T- Chup Adi, Today I need to teach this madrasan I am not like her hen pecked husband that I will agree to whatever she says.

Bahllaji, Romi ,Bala, Mihir and Iyer are all standing in a corner pretending that they are not hearing the conversation that is how IshRa found them seeing Ishita
T- Look madrasan meri Punjabi babu has come and she looks beautiful.
M- Santhoshi before she became your bahu she is my daughter and she looks lovely in any type of clothes be it sari or suit.
A- Patti and Dadi listen to me( Shouts a lit bit to be heard)
Finally they look at him realizing he is there and he tells them why are you guys fighting you both are saying the same thing that Ishita aunty looks beautiful. They accept to Adi that they did not realize that they were fighting on the same topic and move from there each satisfied that there daily encounter with the mundane fight to spice up their day is over.
Adi tells Ishita that she looks beautiful that is when Shagun comes down and did not like the part that Adi was complimenting Ishita. Shagun looks gorgeous in a sky blue chuidar suit with silver embroidery on it with matching accessories as it is Raman favorite color and it also matches Raman color today. Adi compliments her that she looks beautiful. Ishita is not happy that she is wearing the same color as Raman but her smile never leaves her face but Raman notices the slight creases around her eyes which shows her displeasure.
Raman wants her to happy so he is thinking how can he go and change without letting others know that it is affecting his madrasan. Raman asks Ishita to bring water to drink thinking he will drop it on his shirt so that he can go and change when Ishita brings the water she purposefully drops the water on him which looks like an accident to everyone. Raman looks at Ishita who is smiling knowingly at him he smiles back at her with a wink when others are not looking but to keep up appearance he shouts pagal madrasan can't you see properly now I have to go and change. Toshjii comforts him saying it was an accident we will wait go and change. Raman comes back dressed in his madrasan favorite color white pants and green shirt he looks handsome. Ishita looks around to see if anyone is watching and gestures to him that he looks good. Shagun is miffed again that her plan to match with Raman is gone down the drain again.
Sarika apartment is now filled with Iyer and Bhalla families. Sarika is dressed in a simple kurti set. Toshji asks who is the elder in your house please call them so we can start the engagement. Sarika tells her aunty my mom passed away and there are no relatives I know off so except me and the baby there is no one while Toshji ponders what to do Madhavi looks at Iyer with a slight nod from him she asks Sarika will you take us your parents. We are not going to replace your mom but would like to take you as our daughter. Sarika is overwhelmed by this she is not sure what to tell just then Mihika shouts and hugs her saying now I have my third sisters which brings smile to everyone faces and releases the tensed atmosphere and Sarika nods yes. Madhavi turns to Santhoshi and says to her give us an hour to get everything ready as we don't have any shagun to give to Romi once the engagement is done. Sarika is perplexed that she thought they were telling it for namesake but they really did mean it that they were taking her as their daughter. Sarika eyes are filled with unshed tears looking at Madhavi. Toshjii tells her no need for that, give him a one rupee coin a shagun. Madhavi tells her okay but my daughter is not getting engaged in this simple kurti give us some time we will get her ready that is when she notices Sarika standing there with unshed tears she goes near her trying to comfort her but Sarika hugs her tightly and says to her now I don't miss my mother anymore.
Ishita comes inside with a parcel and takes Sarika inside with Mihika. When she opens the parcel there is a nice Red Langhae she asks her to change into that dress when Sarika asks how you got this quickly Ishita tells her we (IshRa) were not sure whether you had a dress and engagement ring picked out for Romi as we thought you are going to be my co-sister I will have them with me in case you need it but now that you have become my sister first and as I am elder to you just do what I say you are going to dress to beguile Romi.
Once Sarika comes dressed in the beautiful langhe Mihika dresses her hair into bun chatting happily telling her about their childhood making Sarika feel comfortable as she is much closer to her in age and with her nonstop chatter took away most of Sarika tension.
Romi was dressed in blue kurta and white pants. He looked handsome, tensed and nervous. Raman took him aside and asked do you have any regrets regarding this decision Romi nods no but I am scared bhai whether I will be able to be a good husband and a father. Raman comforts him saying that there is no book which you can read and follow it is always trial and error. I know you will be a good father as you take care of Adi and Ruhi very well, the husband department you will figure it out with time. The only thing to keep in mind is don't tell any lies to her even it is going to hurt her it is always better to hear from you than from a third party and never cheat on her. If you have these basic rules in play you will be able to overcome any difference which crop up between you guys. We are always there to help you if you need anything else. Romi tension is relieved after speaking to his brother.
Romi is waiting anxiously for Sarika to show up from the room and when Sarika comes outside he is mesmerized by her looks. He could not take his eyes from her which was noticed by every family member. Rinki teases Romi bhai why are you staring at bhabi with your look it looks like we have to leave the room. Romika blush after hearing these words Romi says chup I will not leave you when your time comes. Rinki holds her ears say sorry. Romi and Sarika exchange the ring that is when the baby also kicks to make its presence known everyone is happy that the engagement went well without any hitch.
Toshjii gave a beautiful necklace set with matching earring as gift to Sarika and Madhavi gave a one rupee coin to Romi as a gift. Then they took the blessing of elders. The elders finalized that they would do the marriage as a small ceremony only for family in temple and register the marriage in court according to Sarika wishes. They all go out to dinner after that when Sarika was planning to leave for her house Madhavi bought her back saying that her daughter is not going to stay alone.
IshRa was unloading the last round to take things from car and walking towards the house when a small boy of about 2 years crashes into Ishita when she straightens him and smiles at his cute face and asks what his name he replies Praveen. She asks him where are his parents and he shows them that they are behind him when she is about to pick him up the couple come in search of him and Ishita is stunned seeing them.
The man picks up his kids smirks at her saying how are you Ishu with a snide smile. Raman doesn't like his attitude and goes near her and stands protectively on her side. Ishita getting over the initial shock tells him I am fine Subbu how come you are here. Subbu says my company rented the house in this flats so I came to check on them as the movers will be coming in tomorrow with our stuff. Ishita unknowingly was holding Raman hands tighter he did not say anything but once he heard the name Subbu Raman also without realizing moved closer to her to give her strength. Ishita face did not show any changes she introduces Raman to them. They put on a false faade wishing them to have a nice day and move towards their home.
Once inside the room Ishita locks the door and hugs Raman tightly and asks him I am yours right. Raman answers yes but she is no condition to listen except repeat the same question I am yours right. Raman hugs her tightly realizing that she has gone back to the phase where she was rejected and asking his confirmation whether he still feels the same way about her after seeing Subbu or whether he is going to leave her.
While Raman was pondering how to calm her down Ishita kissed him fully on his lips trying to initiate a kiss and failing miserably as she did not have any previous experience Raman is aroused by her innocent gesture but realized she is not in a good state of mind to go about it he breaks the kiss and shook her to release her from trance calling her by name.
Ishita broke out of her trance and appalled at what she did she tried to move away from him but he bought her closer to him and said to her you are mine nobody is going to take you away from me. I have every right over you as you have every right over me. Ishita heart settles after hearing him openly declaring himself. She hugs him tighter and slowly he is caressing her back which stimulates her senses.
