CHAPTER III
SCHOOL
The trio planed out everything perfectly.
Raman leaves Adi and Ruhi in the school.
Adi - Ruhi, sorry yaar. I misbehaved with you a lot.
Ruhi - its ok Adi bhaiya.
Adi - Ruhi, hum ishita mumma ko le aayenge nah?
(ruhi, we'll get Ishita mumma home right?)
Ruhi - haan Adi bhaiya, Ishima bohot achchi hai. Woh kabhi mana nahi karegi. she loves papa and you.
(yes Adi bhaiya, Ishima's very nice. She'll never refuse our proposal. She loves you and papa)
Adi smiles and hugs Ruhi. They both give a high-five to eachother, with the assurance that they're going to stay and work together, no matter what.
They both were leaving to their classes when Adi calls Ruhi,
Adi - Ruhi??
Ruhi - ji Adi bhaiya?
Adi - agar koyi tujhe pareshaan kare, toh mujhe aake bolna. I'll take their class.
(if anyone Bullies you, then come and tell me, I'll take their class)
Ruhi - nahi Adi bhaiya, koyi pareshaan nahi karta. They all love me. And fighting is not a good thing.
(no Adi bhaiya, no one bullies me. They all love me. And fighting is not a good thing.)
Adi - (smiles) okay, bye
They both leave to their classes.
After the school gets over, Ishita comes to take Ruhi. Adi was hiding behind the wall and sees Ishita kneeling down and hug her. His eyes become moist.
Adi - (to himself) Shagun mumma never did something like this.
Ishita notices Adi standing behind the wall. She goes near him.
Ishita - Shagun mumma nahi aayi aapko lene?
(shagun mumma didn't come to pick you up?)
Ruhi - Shagun mumma doesn't there anymore.
Ishita was shocked to hear that Shagun wasn't living with the Bhallas anymore. But more than the news of Shagun leaving the house, the thing that hurt was the fact that no one even tried to inform her. Adi speaks up.
Adi - Ishita mumma..
Ishita looks up with tears in her eyes.
Adi - I mean Ishita aunty..
Ishita - nahi, nahi, mumma hi bulaayo. Main Ruhi ki bhi maa hoon nah.
(no, no, Call me mumma only. I'm Ruhi's mother also right?)
Adi hugs Ishita. Tears were rolling down her cheeks. She frees Adi from her hug and rubs his tears.
Adi - mumma, dad ne aapko kitna dhunda. He tried calling on your phone also, but the number didn't exist.
Ishita cries hard sitting on the ground. She could't go back because her ego would be hurt. Raman was very rude to her. He didn't even bother to stop her from leaving the house. Not just Raman, not a single person in the house raised voice against her leaving the place. Romi tried Stopping her, but toshiji scolded him for the same. Raman's words were ringing in her ears.
"Ishima banne ka shauk hai. ek bachche ko sambhal nahi sakti"
(you want to be their Ishima, when you can't even take care of a child)
Toshiji, when she said, "Ishita, kaha tha maine Adi se door reh"
(I told you to stay away form Adi)
When she was leaving the house and Romi had stopped her, "Jaane de use Romi"
(let her go Romi)
All the words were going on in her mind.
She was shaken by Adi and Ruhi. She hugs Adi and says, " Jis din papa mujhe dhund lenge, I'll be back"
(the day when papa finds me, I'll be back)
Adi and Ruhi looked at each other and winked.
Ishita left with Ruhi.
Raman, who was watching the whole scenario from a distance, came out and walked to Adi.
Adi - Dad? you know what? Ishita mumma aayi thi. She allowed me to call her mumma. Unhone mujhe hug bhi kiya. Woh bohot ro rahi thi. She also misses you dad. Unhone kaha ki jis din aap unhe dhund loge, woh wapas aa jaayengi. Matlab kal jab hum milenge mall mein, woh hamare saath wapas chalegi?
(dad? yo know what? Ishita mumma was here. She allowed me to call her mumma, She hugged me as well. She was crying a lot dad, She misses you also. She said, the day when you you find her she's going to return home. Does it mean that when we meet her tomorrow, she's going to come along with us to our home?)
Raman - haan beta. maine dekha. Woh wapas zaroor ayegi.
(yes son, I've seen everything. she'll come back for sure)
Raman hugs his son and they leave for their house.
BHALLA HOUSE
It was evening time in Bhalla house. Mihika and Mihir were also there. Raman comes down with an excitement inside him.
Raman - Maa, Papa, Romi, Simmi, Rinki, Adi.. sab log aayo ek baar.
(mom dad Romi Simmi Rinki Adi, everyone come over here ones)
They all come out.
Toshiji - Ki gal hai puttar? Bada changa nazar aa raha hai?
(what's the matter son? you sound excited?)
Raman - baat hi kuch aise hai.
(the matter is special)
Adi - main batata hoon dadi
(grandma, I'll tell you)
Every one sits on sofa. Adi tell how Raman convinced Ruhi. He tells that Ishita came and hugged him. He told every thing about the conversation that had happened between him Ishita and Ruhi.
All were shocked that Ishita inspite of knowing that fact that shagun had left and that they were guilty, She didn't bother to come back or give a call. That is when Raman spoke up, "kyun aayegi woh? galat woh thi ya hum? woh sahi hoke bhi humne use blame kiya. She sacrificed so much for us, aur humne us pe hi bharosa nahi kiya. kyun aayegi bolo woh?"
(why will she come? we were wrong, she wasn't. She was right all the time and we blamed her for everything. She sacrificed so much us and we didn't bother to trust her. She has got no reason to come back.)
Mr. Bhalla - Tu sahi keh raha hai Raman.
(you're right Raman)
Raman asks them not to worry, as he had plan of getting her back to the house.
Simmi - hum bhi chalenge tere saath
(we'll also come along with you)
Raman - nahi, mujhe akele jaane de.
( let me go alone)
ISHITA'S PLACE
Ishita was recalling every thing that happened in the school that day. Ruhi comes.
Ruhi - Ishima?
Ishita - yes beta?
Ruhi - mujhe new dress chahiye, yeh sab purane ho gaye hai.
( I want a new dress. these all are old ones)
Ishita - ruhi par..
(but Ruhi..)
Ruhi - no Ishima I want a new dress.
Ruhi almost starts crying and that is when Ishita's heart melts. She promises her to take her for shopping the next day.
NEXT DAY (at mall)
Ruhi and Ishita comes. Raman and Adi were already there. They were standing on the second floor and observing the people who were coming in. Adi notices Ishita and tells Raman.
Raman had his plan ready.
There was part of the mall where a live show was going on. People were coming and talking about themselves on the mike. Raman had told the manager of the show about his plan.
Ruhi knew about it as well. She pulls Ishita in the direction where the show was going on.
Raman sees her coming and takes on the stage.
Raman - Ishita...
Ishita hears her name being called out on the stage. She could recognize the voice very well. She at ones understood that it was all their plan. She looked at Ruhi. But her innocent face melted her. She could see the pain inside her eyes of being away from her family.
Raman continues,
"Ishita, I know you're here. I also know that I don't deserve to say sorry. I was wrong all the time and didn't realise what I was losing in my life. But I would still apologize, because I'm genuinely sorry from my heart. All this while I just Lived like a soulless body.There was nothing in life that I took interest in, it's because you were gone. My day starts with you and ends with you. I was so blind in love for Adi that I couldn't see the truth, or rather didn't want to see the truth. I shouted on you without any reason. I lost my temper when I should have kept calm and tried solving your problem. But what to do yaar, this punjabi blood of mine, doesn't let me stay calm, you know that right?
Please come back Ishita, I miss you so much. The whole family misses you. Adi misses you, please come back"
Tears were rolling down her eyes. She loved him. She felt like running up on the stage and hug him, but there was something that stopped her from doing that.
The crowd was staring at her.
A lady beside her spoke up, " bohot pyaar karta hai banda tujhse, maan jaa na puttar"
(he loves you a lot, please forgive him)
Raman - Ishita, I...I...I.. I LOVE YOU ISHITA. I love you.
She could see him crying. She was going through the same.
Raman walks down the stage, comes to her and kneels down. He apologized with tears rolling down his cheeks.
Ishita - Mere airport waale drame ka badla le rahe ho?
(you're taking the revenge of Airport drama that I Created?)
Raman - (standing up?) kya?
(what?)
Ishita - kuch nahi, I LOVE YOU TOO Ravan Kumar.
Raman pounds on her and hugs her. Ruhi and Adi standing beside them held each other's hands and smiled at each other. They were happy and relieved with the fact that their parents were finally together.
The guilt that Adi had come down to Nil. He was happy.
They thanked the crowd and the show manager for giving them their time.
They walked out of the mall. Raman drove to Ishita's house, packed hers and Ruhi's things and drove back to the bhalla House.
PRECAP - Toshiji is ready with the enrty ceremony of Ishita.
Mihika and Mihir's Marriage date will be fixed.
Amma calls up saying that they're coming back to Delhi.
Bala calls up from Hospital.
