Raman came down after changing only to see his house chirping with the laughs of the four most important ladies of his house and life. He could hear them chatting and voices seemed to came from kitchen so he proceeded towards kitchen only

Ruhi: Pari how many times I have told you to finish your milk but you are only talking. Jaldi piyo warna mumma will be angry

Ishita: Oh ho Ruhi maine tumhe kitni baar kaha hai ki Pari ko daanta mat karo. Use mat daanto warna your mumma will be angry

Pari only giggled when she saw her mother getting a good scolding. She was taken by Ishita in her arms and then the milk finished in no time.

Ruhi: IshiMaa aapne hi ise bigaad rakha hai sunti hi nahi hai meri toh

Toshi Ji: Oye tu chup kar...humne tujhe bhi aise hi bigaada tha tab toh bada khush thi ab meri bachi ke peeche pad gayi hai

Ruhi could only sulk seeing her mother and grandmother team up with her daughter leaving her alone. Just then she saw her armor coming; her father

Pari, Ruhi and Toshi Ji made their way towards the hall outside while Raman decided to stay back and help his wife.

They spent so many years together and have now aged beautifully but he was still so lost in her as if they met just yesterday.

Ishita: Aise kya dekh rahe hain

Raman: kyun apni biwi ko dekhne ke liye ab PM se permission laun kya

Ishita: kuch bhi Raman. Mera matlab tha aap chaliye sabke saath baithiye main laati hoon na chai

*Flashback*

One month had already passed since they started dating. The nights were always spent talking on phone till 4 AM while the days were spent waiting for the night. Their talks were not always consisting of the typical romance but this was their style. Weekends were always spent together in the most unique ways which would seem stupidity to an outsider however it was love for them.

Again it was a Saturday night which was the toughest to pass for both of them.

After they wrapped their phone call at 4 AM, her watsapp ringed at 4.30 AM

Raman: So jao Ishita. I don't want you to come with puffy eyes tomorrow.

Ishita: As if you care. It is already 4.30 and I will anyways have puffy eyes.

Raman: Don't you dare to complain haa. I have the right to keep you awake till 4 AM as per our love contract.

Both dozed off to sleep waiting for the sunrise impatiently.

In the morning, yet again he reached 15 minutes before time and waited for her under her building. He was lost yet again seeing her come in her favorite color pink.

Ishita: Hi Raman. Today also I am late like always

Raman: Hi Ishita. No today also I am early like always. Waise you are unwell today?

Ishita: Nahi toh. I am completely fine. Kyun pucha aapne aise?

Raman: you look incomplete and dull today

Raman: No Ishita. We always talk and anyways you will have to be awake till 4 AM all your life now. But you always look fresh but today there is a difference. Is something bothering you?

Ishita: Nahi Raman sach mein I am fine. I don't know what makes you think so.

Raman: Ohk. Maybe I got a doubt. Anyways chalo. Your bachas are missing you so aaj unse milke aayen

Ishita: Sachi? I am always ready

In the car,

Raman: I got it why you look different

Ishita: and what is it

Raman: you are not wearing kaajal today

Ishita: oh that...actually my kaajal broke today when I was getting ready so

Raman: you better buy yourself a new one fast Ishita. I don't want to see your empty eyes ever. When you have kaajal in them, I feel you have dreams of our future in your eyes.

She smiled and nodded in yes.

Both went to their favorite place, the orphanage and spent the entire afternoon playing with the kids. Raman could not count how many times she blushed hearing the kids call her Bhabhi instead of Didi. They laughed, ate, danced and did all sort of crazy things with the kids and finally after a promise to meet them soon again, they departed from there and started to heed back home in the car.

Raman: Ishita ghar chalogi?

Ishita: obviously. Raat road par thode na spend karungi

Raman: No I meant mere ghar

Ishita: Raman

Raman: Lekin woh par actually but sab chod do. Say yes or no

Silent she was..!!

Raman: don't overthink or assume anything baba. Koi plan nahi hai mera only want to show you, your house.

Your house was only repeating in her mind and she could only lower her eyes to give her consent to him.

In sometime they reached his building. He opened the door for her and asked her to come out. She stepped out of the car and felt an immediate connection with the place. As if she knew her entire life was meant to be spent in this building.

Raman: Aao Ishita

He forwarded his hand and she held it proudly. They both entered the house together like they were entering a new life.

The house didn't look like a bachelor's pad from anywhere. It was so sorted and nicely arranged.

Raman: Ander chalo na Ishita ruk kyun gayi

Ishita: Nahi kuch nahi. Chalo

He showed his 1 BHK flat to her proudly as it was a result of his own hard earned money. He proudly told her his struggle story as well how he managed to buy this flat. And all she could do was feel proud of him.

Raman: I hope you liked it. You can change whatever you want when you come here

Blushing was the only thing she could do.

Raman: Waise tum yahan first time aayi ho islie I want it to be a special moment for both of us...bolo kya khaogi i will order

Ishita: Main kitchen use karun please

Raman: Are you sure you want to cook?

Ishita: Yes Raman. You only said this is my house and we girls only get the feeling of owning when we cook.

Go ahead then it is all yours Madam he said pointing towards the kitchen.

Ishita: Kya khayenge waise

Raman: Jo aap Khilaengi

Ishita: Thik hai toh aap baitho I will see what I can do

Raman: No never. I will be there with you and I promise to be always with you whenever you use this kitchen

At your service mam he said wearing the apron.

A loud laugh came out of her. They both cooked together a simple dal, some rotis and halwa but this ordinary dinner was more than a feast at The Taj for them.

Tum fresh ho jao. The washroom is that side, he told her.

But she instead of leaving held his hand.

Kuch kehna hai? He asked without looking at her but seeing nothing coming from her he turned to see her weeping.

Raman: Kya hua Ishita are you fine? Did you get hurt or burnt while cooking. Dikhao mujhe kahan lagi. Tum bilkul apna dhyaan nahi rakhti yaar. I said don't cook but you didn't listen.

She kept her finger on his lips to sshhh him.

Ishita: I LOVE YOU

Shocked was a mere word to describe his condition. What did you say he asked?

Raman: Kya kaha phirse kaho

Ishita: I LOVE YOU

Raman: Ek baar phir please

Raman she said hitting him. Both giggled at their stupid yet innocent deeds

And he felt there was a need to embrace her or else he might just not stand straight. So he pulled her in a hug and to his surprise she didn't resist as well. They hugged and stood still for long. Silence was the most beautiful voice they liked to hear together.

After 10 long minutes she managed to say.

Ishita: I am hungry

He could only laugh hearing such a demand after a hug

Raman: Chalo yaar chalo khaana khaate hain

Both relished the dinner sometimes feeding each other in between.

Raman: I feel the luckiest

Ishita: I second it par ab chalo mujhe chodke aayo. It is 8 already. I just have one hour to reach otherwise I will be homeless.

Raman: I would not mind that. You can stay here

Ishita: shutup Raman and drop me.

Sometime later, he dropped her at her building.

They both started missing each other the moment they parted and thought about another week that they had kill before they met again.

Oye Ishitaaa broke their thoughts and they both laughed thinking how their mind could still manage to travel to that beautiful past.

Toshi Ji: Oye Ishita chai nahi bani kya ab tak. Main aaun kya

Ishita: Raman jaldi chalo warna aaj mummy ji pakka daatengi

Raman: Hadd hai yaar apne hi ghar mein banda apni hi biwi ke saath kitchen mein khada tak nahi ho sakta.

Both came out of the kitchen, Ishita smiling and Raman sulking. However after coming out; the family enjoyed their evening tea.
