Did he just say that!?

Who is this now?

All heads turned towards the source of voice. I realized it was just behind me.

And it was none other than...Mihir (Author Note: You thought it was Ajnabi????😉)

"Ruk jao bhai...Aise thodi na hota hai...wo the great Raman Kumar Bhalla ki Valentine hai...itna seedha sadha introuduction??? Not fair!" He continued walking up to the stage.

He placed a hand on Raman's shoulder "Bhai...Apka gana sune hue kitne din hogaye...Aaj mouqa bhi hai aur dastoor bhi...To ab Bhabhi ka introduction apko gaake karna hoga...What say Abhi?"

"Of course! Mai bhi abhi tak nahi mila Raman ki Valentine se. So this has to be special. Come on, Raman"

"Haan bhai...gaana to padega" Simmi pleaded too.

"Ok" he agreed.

"Great! Then let's clear the stage for the one and only Raman Kumar Bhalla" the compere announced and exited the stage followed by Mihir, Abhi & Simmi.

The lights went off and my heart started thudding.

Was it because of my fear of darkness or the anticipation? I didn't know.

I was scared what was going to happen now.

Would I get Raman's acceptance or do I have to face rejection? I didn't know.

Dim lights illuminated and the faint music started playing.

Was it going to be a song of love or deception? I didn't know.

Raman appeared with his guitar. He moved his fingers skillfully on the strings.

The music soothed my thumping heart and calmed my nerves.

When will he stop amazing me?

Is it possible for someone to be so successful, so well-mannered and so talented at the same time?

Was he in a process of replacing the image of a Perfect Life-Partner in my mind?

If you remember, I had admitted that he is a Perfect Life-Partner one would wish for, but the image in my mind was always Ajnabi's.

At this moment, that image seemed to be blurred.

I wished that he shifted his gaze from the guitar to the person he was singing it for ermmm shift his gaze to me, to be precise.

He lifted his gaze with this line and guess what??? Our eyes met...

The world around seemed to have disappeared in that moment!

Actually KHUD SE BEGHANA KAR DIYA I felt...

He looked at me...he looked at me...

That means he still loves me...

He has forgiven me...

I was in a pool of endless joy...

I could not contain my happiness...

I stood up and started walking towards him as he continued singing

He kept his guitar aside and extended his hand chivalrously to help me climb the stage.

Tune mere raston ko manzil diya

Tujhe paake zindagi ko hasil kiya

He sang walking around me in a circle.

He was amazed when I sang the next lines copying his actions

Tere liye hai ye saansein, tay kar liya

Tu hai toh hai ye kahaani, mere saathiya

He twirled me and then slipped his hands around my waist from back and slowly swayed as he sang

Teri arzoo ne khud se

Beghana kar diya

Chand asmanon se lapatha hogaya

Chal ke mere ghar mein aa gaya, aa gaya

I was lost in this dance like I was lost when I danced with Ajnabi.

Somewhere I felt this was way more special.

I could not comprehend the reason though.

I was feeling lucky to be accepted by him and I realized my prayers were answered. So I completed the song expressing the same

The hooting and roar of applause brought me out of the trance and I hid my face in his chest blushing.

He put his arms around me and took me in an embrace.

A warm breath on my earlobe got me goosebumps and my heart fluttered when he whispered huskily

It was him...It was him...

I was overjoyed...

"Happy Valentines Day Raman"

I was grateful that he accepted me after the betrayal. I wanted to thank him genuinely

"Thank you for accepting me even after listening to the voice message" I whispered in his ear.

"Kounsa voice message?"
