The path that Raman is choosing can be called escapism but dont forget that he's a man who has before been in a relationship where he cudnt make it work, for money or whatever reasons, but the marriage broke, as Shagun wasnt happy with him. Had she said this to him directly and walked out on him it wudnt have hurt or affected him that much, but WENT AWAY WITH ANOTHER MAN. That is probably the biggest insult that u can throw on a man. After this his self-esteem must have been completely shattered. His own son willingly left him, that was the last straw!

He, then changed wore a mask of a suave, confident man, but in the case of emotions, love and heart, he still will be insecure . On top of that, the last few days this insecurity must have increased to dangerous levels knowing that he's unable to keep even this wife of his happy!! And he also loves her a lot, so coz he sees himself as source of his problems he is leaving her which is what any insecure man wud do in his place.

So, even though one will not absolutely agree with this step but one can understand why he is doing that.

if it true from best friend view because he thinks best about her then why raman is blamed for same ? if raman is focused only on her happiness why he is called stupid? could ishita call Mani stupid ?
