Awesome post Nikki, finally after a very long time Raman moved me to tears...
I so so wanted to be angry with him, with his baseless assumption that him leaving behind Ishita would free her from her misery but my heart just went for him the moment I saw him breakdown. All I could do was conclude that Raman is an emotional fool unfortunately the emotional fool in me also joined in to shed the tears for him.
He saw the knots in their relationship which was causing the tension for Ishita but he didn't see the bigger picture. Cutting the knots may free the temporary tension but it he failed to see that it will collapse the whole foundation, Ishita will be shattered beyond words. It is those painful knots that has strengthen his family and Ishita. He wasn't only divorcing Ishita but he was literally divorcing his whole family, leaving behind his family, his pillar of strength, his daughter and his love of live.
There used to be a time when Ishita would endure anything for Ruhi but now the equation has changed. Raman is willing to walk the path of thorns knowingly just to bring the back the happiness to Ishita. Thanks to Mani for fogging his mind with thoughts that he was not fit for Ishita, he failed to see that Ishita's happiness lies with him. Being Ishita Raman Bhalla completed the void in Ishita's life, gave her the happiness that she thought was never destined for her.
I'm just waiting for Ishita to drill into his thick skull that she doesn't need a knight in shinning armour to protect her but only her Ravan Kumar.
