To be fair though, its very tricky for them too.

They need to sell and maintain an image to make sure they (and their shows/movies) stay in the market. So there is a lot of stuff they do need to advertise and disclose. But once they put it out there on the W W W, they cannot control the message and the feedback. They are usually sane and have PR teams. But fans come in all shapes and sizes. Its very difficult to manage it in current day and age.

That is why I get worried when I see kids becoming fans of anything.

You remember there was a controversy when Ramayan was telecasted the first time. Kids werent allowed to watch it because they used to make bows and arrows from sticks/branches and a couple of kids got hurt... and they were emulating Ram... of all the people

Actors are still human. Even then, 99% of them are sensible. But depends on the emotional maturity of the fan. A lot of the school kids are now growing up thinking they have a 'voice' because of Twitter, and that makes them think they have the power too !
