She walked upto her Appa and he got one thing "Her Appa,her confidante."
He stretched his legs and looked around, his mother and her mother excitedly sat next to pandit while his father was indulged in a conversation with her and her dad.
He amusingly recalled the last night event and one stupid leak by Mihir.

"Mihirr..mmm" he struggled with his phone as his mother forcefully made him eat entire ladoo.
"Bhai ? Hello you there ?" He heard hir friend shout from other end
"Hmm hmm." He managed to speak and glared at his mother
"What happened to your voice bhai ?" He gulped down the last bit before blasting
"What the hell is wrong with you Mihir ?" He shouted
"Oh finally you are back !" He rubbed his temple in frustration "what happened bhai ?"
"You told ma about Ishita coming to meet me. Are you mad?" He controlled his volume
"Bhai, Auntyji called me since you were not picking up your phone, so she asked and I told her. Trust me bhai."
"Ma said yes for my marriage and you ! You better dont come in my radar tomorrow. "
"Bhai.." and he ended the call and walked to his mother
"Aur Ma aap ! Mere se puche bina haan kaise kehdi aapne."
"Ma hoon teri itna haq banta hai mera."
"Ma yeh possible nai hai "
"Meine aapni zubaan di hai uss madrasan ko. Tu chaahta hai ki yeh shaadi na ho toh meri zuban kaat de." His mother replied dramatically and he sighed in exasperation
"Zuban kaatde ? Maa kya ho gaya hai aapko. Bhagwan ke liye aapne ghatiyaa serial dekhna band karo. Please." He folded his hands
"Tikh hai. Ab mein aapni madrasan bahu ke saath madrasi channel dekhungi." She giggled with his father
"God ! One more minute and I am gonna enrol in mental hospital." He mumbled and walked away with Ishita's fuming face in his mind.

He was brought out of trance with Ishita again sitting next to him, or forced to sit next to him as her mother did aarti of them both. His eyes were only fixed on her hands, they were not digging her dupatta anymore but instead she was rolling her ring. He glanced at her face as his mother gave her gifts, she did smile but her eyes said different story "She is gonna cry in two minutes." He cursed
"Oe" she looked at him
"One of the boxes has sword in it."
"Sword?"
"Jhaansi ki Raani jo ho." His comments made her fume
"Just pray I don't use it on you." He laughed and she shook her head
"You are always this insane ?" She asked and he rolled his eyed "You can be dealt only with insanity." And his trademark smile.
"Why did I even thought of talking to you?" He smiled at her
"Ok.. cool ! Why did you Not say No to this marriage?" He asked and noticed her face fell for a moment before she gripped herself back
"Appa thinks you are a nice guy. I am taking risk." She said and he scrutinised her face. She looked at him, not turning her gaze away like she did a second before.
"So, you working as a dentist ?"
"Yes." She was for the first time glad for changing the topic so conveniently
"Toodne ke kaam hi kaarti ho !" He replied cheekily
"Oh right ! Atleast I am not sitting idle and bossing around." She snapped and he chuckled.

Mrs Iyer looked at the duo happily, wiping off the tears
"Madhu ! What happened ?"she shook her head in negative
"I am just happy for my daughter. Look how engrossed they are." Mr.Iyer looked at his daughter and stiffled a laugh- he knew his daughter more than anyone in this world but for once he prayed he is proven wrong one day by the guy sitting next to her.

She slumped on her bed and tears glistened in her eyes - Today was her Roka and she will soon be Mrs.Raman Kumar Bhalla. She wiped them harshly and pondered about everything

"Ishu he said Yes." Her mother's voice echoed in dining hall while she looked at her shocked.
"Mom ! He cannot say yes."
"Ishu.. tumne suna nai. Toshi called." Before she could reply, her neighbour entered with her trademark evil grin.
"Oh ! Someone is getting married. Really ?" Her tone literally told her disgust.
"Yes Shagun. I am getting married." Ishita said crossing her arms and glaring at her.
"Good for you." She flipped her hairs and Ishita looked at her Amma, mumbling curses at the intruder.
"You came for a reason, right ?"
"Oh yes.Mom is asking for the recipe book Aunty." Shagun replied playing with her nails and Mrs Iyer walked off leaving not so good friends together.
"I am happy that you are finally over Subbu."
"I was never into that bas***d."
With this she walked off.

"Did Subbu ruled my this decision too?"
But he is not that mean.
He is very mean
He is chauvinist
He is funny
He makes fun of you
Appa likes him.
Her thoughts continued as she drifted into a deep slumber .
