I am a new member and this is my first attempt at an OS hope you enjoy it. All comments and criticism welcome.
This story is based on the Mani track and starts from the night of the party. Its my closure and take on Raman and Ishita's relationship. I know Ishita refused explanation because CVs/Divyanka claimed her character was a feminist and would not defend herself but in my opinion Ishita is a balanced woman and when she would realize that her small lies regardless of the intention have caused her husband so much pain and grief she will decide to keep her pride aside and explain because isn't marriage all about letting go of the "I" and embracing "Us"?!?!?
Ishita's heart broke as she heard Raman's words hit her ears which ripped her heart into pieces. Raman was on the stage giving his victory speech as the new Asia Business Council Head and he thanked his ex wife Shagun Arora for his success. Yes Ishita was aware that, the thank you message was mere sarcasm and a lot of hatred but then she herself had once explained to Raman that hate is also part of ones' love for someone and to that Raman had explained that he had no feelings for Shagun and agreed to treat her cordially like an acquaintance rather than getting angry every time she came in front of him. Then what changed today? why did he take her name? Why?
Ishita didn't want him to thank her she had only saved his position because she had deep feelings for the man even though she had never expressed them to Raman but she had come to terms with her feelings. Raman anyways didn't know of her efforts so she really didn't have any expectations but he had hurt something deep inside her by taking Shagun's name.
Ishita could not control her tears and wanted to avoid a scene so she left the party and drove aimlessly for an hour or so and then decided to go home.
When she entered her bedroom Raman was sitting on the bed with a whiskey bottle in his hands and the lights were off. Ishita turned on the lights, opened the cupboard to take her night dress out quickly leave because she wanted to avoid any confrontation with Raman in his drunken state but Raman had enough and wanted confrontation so he held her hand and expected her to turn around and when she didn't he held her by her shoulders and forced her to turn.
Ishita, "Raman what are you doing please let me go, I am in no mood to talk to you while you are drunk we will talk later ", she said while trying to free herself from his grip but to no luck because his grip was very strong. Raman said, "Why Ishita now you can't even talk to me?" "Am I that bad?" Ishita could see deep anger and spite in his expressions but his eyes were narrating a different story they were sad and lonely and spoke to her of the pain that his aching heart was causing him, Ishita was very confused she wanted to know what was going on in Raman's mind and heart, why was he so angry at her? What did she do wrong so she decided she will confront him and end this today more for him than herself because she was finding it almost impossible to deal with the pain she witnessed in his eyes.
Ishita: Raman what's wrong? Why are you so angry? Please tell me? I want to help you.
Raman: Really you don't know why I am so angry and you really want to help me? He screamed, "Please Ishita stop this nonsense, how fake can you be?"
Ishita: You really think my concern for you is fake?
Raman: All your concern is for that Mani of yours, he is your hero right and you also love him then why all this fake care and concern for me?
Ishita: Raman that's disgusting!!
Raman: I am not disgusting you are. You are the one meeting that guy behind my back. I never stopped you from meeting him then why did you lie? You tell me you are in the clinic when you are actually with him and then you change his name on your phone. You are doing everything that Shagun did when she was having an affair with Ashok behind my back. I thought you were different but all women are the same. You should have at least respected the fact that you are Raman Bhalla's wife and half of the city knows you but you are shameless.
You talk a lot about relationships and you taught me how to respect them but today I am going to practice my rights on this relationship and saying that he held Ishita from her shoulders and pulled her towards him when they were just inches apart.
Ishita screamed pulling her pallu down, "Raman this is what you want my body so here you go practice your right but remember if I didn't care then you touching me would not change a thing."
Raman let her go, picked her pallu and placed it back in place and said, "Ishita I am not that sort of a man who would just take advantage of a woman specially if that woman is my wife the one I use to deeply respect. I was just reminding you of who I am in your life. I never even tried coming close to you and I will not do any such thing even tonight. Just wanted to show you how it feels to be betrayed when you trust somebody. I trusted you to respect this relationship even though it was just for Ruhi just like you trusted me and have spent all the past months with me in this bedroom knowing full well that no matter how much I scream or insult you I will never cross the line come close to you physically without your consent. You broke my trust Ishita and I was showing a glimpse of how you would feel if I broke yours.
Now Raman could not control his sadness and emotions so he decided to voice out everything that was there in his heart.
Ishita I am not saying you are not entitled to your happiness. If you thought your happiness lies with Mani then you should have given me enough respect to say this on my face and I swear I would have let you go. What were you worried about that I will take Ruhi away from you? I would never do that because I know you and Ruhi both cannot live without each other. Especially my beautiful little angel Ruhi, I love her and I know her happiness lies with you. And I know you probably failed as my wife but you are the best mother Ruhi could have.
Ishita was shocked to hear everything Raman was saying and even though she was very hurt but at the same time she realized that in order to save Raman's position she went really far and she has actually jeopardized her relationship with Raman which she herself desperately wanted to take forward so she decided to explain everything to Raman. She wiped her tears then walked towards Raman and wiped his tears as well and motioned him to sit on the bed. In that moment Raman felt so defeated that he just did what she asked her to do.
Ishita sat next to Raman took his hand in hers and said, "Raman Mani is just a good friend and I mean it. You ask your own heart... yes in the past few days I did use some white lies to hide my where about from you because on the Karwachaut night Mani called and told me that Ashok was manipulating Sarika to spoil your image and use it in such a way that you lose this position and I knew that if you find out you will give this position up in a heartbeat just how you gave your president ship up for me. I know you love your family a lot and you will do anything for them. So I was just taking Mani's help to fail Ashok's conceited plan. I only changed Mani's name on my phone because you were irritated from his constant calling and I had to keep in touch with him to resolve the situation."
She paused and looked into Raman's eyes and realized he had listened to every word she said and his eyes told her he believed her.
She cupped his face with both her hands and said: "Raman in any other situation I would never defend myself because it really hurts when you realize you are not trusted but I understand and feel the pain of your past and I have also known how long it took you to get over that pain, I was aching inside to see that pain all over again in your eyes hence I felt the need to explain myself. Raman I am not Shagun and I will not ever betray your trust. Ruhi and you are my life my world my family I would never leave you both."
Raman was speechless, in that moment he realized how correct his heart was and if only he had listened to it. He gathered all his courage brought his palms and held Ishita's hand which were still holding his face lovingly and moved them in his lap and quietly said Ishita I am so sorry I misunderstood you all along, I should have spoken to you when the first doubt came to my mind but I was scared you would say it's true and leave me.
Ishita I love you and was scared of losing you. When Shagun left me I was broken because she took my family away from me. She took Adi along and abandoned Ruhi which tainted her childhood. But if you would leave me I would just die because...
Raman never got to complete what he was saying because as soon as he said die in a split second Ishita put her lips on his into a soft assuring kiss that she belongs to him and she will never let anything happen to him. Raman was shocked but once what was happening sinked in he started kissing her back with all the love and passion that he felt for this beautiful angel of his. After what felt like an eternity both broke the kiss to get some air. Ishita stood up from the bed and turned. Raman followed and put his arms around her waist from the back his fingers resting on her bare waist and placed his face in the nook of her neck and said Ishita "I really love you a lot" at that Ishita turned around and responded to his love with the magical three words, "I love you too" and to that Raman pressed her hard against his chest and kissed her again in a deep passionate sensual kiss. He wanted to feel and take in all the love from the lips that said to him that they loved him. Ishita happily responded. Raman's hands started exploring her through her beautiful white saree, he took his hand to her bare back and undid her blouse strings and then moved one hand to her shoulders and pushed away the pallu of her saree that was already unfastened from when she removed it in a fit of anger. He finally let go of her lips and kissed her forehead, her cheeks, chin and made his way to her neck and started placing butterfly kisses on her neck. Ishita was feeling heavenly and she was extremely aroused and didn't know how to handle the passion she was feeling. She wrapped her hands around Raman's neck and put her head back to enjoy what Raman's lips and his hand were doing to her body. She slowly moved her hands down to his blue shirt and started opening one button at a time. Raman waited patiently staring at her beautiful face, he was loving that she was blushing because of his touch showing him that she was shy but the raw passion in her eyes was driving him mad therefore once she had dealt with his shirt buttions he took it off like a hurdle. Picked her up in his arms and put her on the bed. He slid his hand under her navel and pulled the pleats of her saree and climbed on top of her put his hands around her back to open the hooks of her blouse and once they were unfastened he took it off and stared at the beautiful exquisite lacy bra she was wearing. Raman moved his hands onto her breast which made Ishita moan in pleasure and in a matter of seconds the lovebirds were naked and Raman deep inside Ishita, both of them were experiencing such exquisite love and pleasure that they didn't expect to find in each other's arms when they first got married. They made love for a while and then drifted off to sleep in each other's arms. Both slept like a baby in deep slumber like they had not done in what felt like an eternity.
Next morning in the Bhalla house, it was 7:00 am. Normally Ishita is the first one to wake up in the morning and she prepares breakfast before everyone wakes up but this Sunday morning was definitely different. Mrs. Bhalla woke up and went in the family room and was quite shocked to see that Ishita was still not out of her room. She was not mad or anything on the contrary she was happy that for a change her daughter in law was taking some extra much needed rest. Toshiji went in the kitchen and started preparing breakfast at the same time Simi and Mr. Bhalla also came in the family room. Simi asked mummyji that is Ishita still sleeping? She almost never does that. To that Mr. Bhalla replied, "Last night it got too late in the party and then she was also upset because of what Raman said in his speech so probably she must have overslept." And settled with the Sunday morning newspaper in the dining area.
Meanwhile in Raman and Ishita's room, Raman woke up with the biggest smile on his face his beautiful wife was sleeping peacefully in his arms and she looked as pure as the morning dew on the leaves at the first glimpse of dawn. He had longed for this moment for so long and today it was a beautiful reality. He closed his eyes again and rested his chin on his wife's head gently and decided to stay in bed until his wife wakes up.
After a blissful few minutes Ishita woke up and she realized what had transpired between Raman and her last night and that made her smile and blush at the same time. Raman opened his eyes and said, "Good Morning beautiful" and gave a peck on her cheek. Ishita quickly struggled to sit up but Raman tugged her down saying, "Where are you going lets go back to sleep?"
Ishita: No Raman it is already 7:30 am, I wake up a lot earlier than that mummyji must be awake now, it doesn't look nice.
"My mummy has never asked you to wake up early and she will not mind if you sleep in one Sunday morning", said Raman holding her tightly in his arms.
Ishita: Raman please it will be really embarrassing please let me go.
Raman: Only on one condition if you give me a kiss.
Ishita blushed but bent down and gave him a quick peck on his lips but Raman was quick he held her face and engaged her in a deep and passionate kiss.
They kissed for a while and then when Raman finally let her go he decided to pull her leg by saying Jhansi ki Rani I asked for a small peck and you indulge me in such a passionate kiss, very naughty!!
"Ravan Kumar", Ishita mumbled under her breath and wrapped the sheets around her body and walked to the bathroom quickly showered, got dressed and went to the family room.
Ishita while walking into the family room said Sorry mummyji I got late in waking up today I will quickly prepare breakfast for everybody.
Mummyji: Ishita please I was glad you were taking some much needed rest, I have already made breakfast you sit and we will all eat together.
Ishita: Mummyji Raman is just coming I will wait for him.
Mr. Bhalla: Ishita after what he said in his speech last night you still want to wait for him for breakfast, beta what he said was completely out of line and I think he should apologize for his words and his behavior.
Raman walked in and heard his father criticizing his behavior, he knew he had made a huge mistake and it won't be enough that he has already apologized to Ishita in the privacy of his bedroom.
Raman: Papaji I know I made a huge mistake and I apologized to Ishita last night only and I am also sorry to you all. I misunderstood Ishita and that's why I said what I said. "Ishita I am once again very sorry."
Ishita: Raman its ok I understand.
The family was a bit shocked to see both of them agree with each other without any arguments.
He settled down on the chair right opposite Ishita and gave her a warm smile.
Everybody was also pleasantly surprised with Raman's humble and apologetic behavior. Normally even if he knew he is wrong he would just scream to cover his guilt but today he seemed to be completely calm and at peace even with his flaws.
Ruhi woke up and came to the family room and sat in her Ishima's lap and wished everybody a sleepy good morning.
Mummyji came to the table with the parathas and they all started eating. Raman felt a bit mischievous and started putting his feet under Ishita's sari and pulling it up grinning non stop, Ishita had no clue why he had that naughty smirk on his face and just then Toshiji burst into giggles and said Puttar that is my shalwar. Raman quickly removed his foot embarrassed. His face color matched a ripe red tomato.
Everybody burst into fits of laughter making it a beautiful Sunday morning in the Bhalla residence!!
