She said what Raman had always wanted to hear from her mouth. But it was meant for someone else.
Earlier he saw the first ray of hope.. Hope that the cloud of doubt that was engulfing his mind, could be cleared up if he opened up to her...have a open conversation with her. As deep in his heart, he wanted to believe her...trust her, against all odds, against his own mind...and he could not wait for that moment to start soon.
He was impatient, restless...wanted to feel better again. So he rushed to meet her as doubt was eating his soul away...Confounded with that resolution his restless person ran for his solace...her affirmation that he mattered to her.
But as luck would have it. He reached there a moment too late...Missed the reason why his wife wanted to make another man,the very one who he had doubts about, her 'hero .... He heard her utter what his heart was dreading, she would leave him and their family ...
That was all that he that he needed to hear...To him, it was a verdict about him, Raman Bhalla by his wife...that he is probably unworthy of being loved by. being cared for by anyone...as his past had taught him the hard way.
He receded...a tear drop an evidence of his shattered soul...ran down.
Raman Bhalla's heart shredded in pieces again by love's betrayal.
