PART-2
As all the ladies are impatiently waiting for the moon to show up, Ishita is being pulled away from the crowd by Ruhi to their room.
"Ishima, chalo, jaldi aao." Ruhi dragged her Ishima inside to only notice that Raman was standing with a tiny box,gift wrapped beautifully and decorated with ribbons.
Raman had a nervous smile on his face as Ishita walked towards him with an amused look.
She looked at the small gift in his hands and then she looked at him, arching her eyebrows asking him what's this?
Raman was about to speak when Ruhi gleefully jumped saying "Ishima, aaj papa apne aap se aapke liye gift leke aaye hai. Na maine papa ko bola, na dadi ne, na kisi aur ne."
Ishita looked at Raman in awe as he lowered his gaze and smiled shyly.
He gave the gift to her silently, as he noticed her eyes widen and a genuine smile appear on her lips.
She opened the gift box which had a pair of small diamond earrings. She looked at Raman with moist eyes as he was nervous if she found the gift again gaudy and waited for her reply.
She was speechless at his thoughful loving gesture.She held the gift closer to her heart and smiled. Taking a deep breath, he finally asked "Kaisa laga? Firse gaudy gift to nahi diya na?"
She smiled with her hand over the forehead and eyes closed as she rememberd how she had called his pink and blue neckpiece gift as gaudy.
She opened her eyes and looked at him who was still awaiting for her reply. She replied "Mere pati ka choice gaudy nahi hai!" She took out the earrings from the box and kept close to her ear and asked "Ache lag rahe hai na?"
He smiled seeing her happy and was about to leave when she held his hand and turned to Ruhi who was happily seeing her parent's cute moments together and said "Ruhi, aapko nahi lagta ki kisine gift itne pyar se diya hai to unhe pehnana bhi chahiye!"
Ruhi giggled and said "Haan Ishima! Chalo papa, aap Ishima ko earrings pehnao! Warna to main bhi gussa hojaungi aur Ishima bhi!"
Ishita and Ruhi did a hi-five together and giggled as Raman shook his head smilingly at his two angels.
Before he could say anything, Ishita removed her earrings which she was wearing and held out the diamond earrings to Raman.
He silently took the earrings and made Ishita wear them.
Ruhi clapped at that and then she suddenly said "Offo! Papa, main to bhool hi gayi, Ishima ne pichle 3hours se kuch nahi khaaya."
Raman looked at Ishita in anger and said "Ye kya Ishita? Itni akad kisbaat ki hai tujhe?" He then turned to Ruhi and said "Beta, aap jaake khelo Shravan se, Main dekhta hu aapki Ishima kaise nahi khati!"
Ruhi laughed and said "Haan Papa, ache se daant lagana Ishima ko agar aapki baat nahi maani to." and she hopped out to play.
Raman walked out of room telling Ishita "Chup chap yahi baithi rehna, abhi kuch khane ke liye leke aata hu."
As he leaves, Ishita bites her lip nervously wondering how to avoid Raman making her eat.
Ishita was pacing in the room- Kya karun ...Kaise niklun iss musibat se. Agar kha liya, to vrat tootjayega, nahi khaya to raman ko pata chal jayega ki maine vrat rakha!
Agar Ravan kumar ko pata chala ki maine unke mana karne ke bavajood vrat rakha, to aaj mujhe bhagwan bhi nahi bacha sakte unke gusse se!
Ishita thought it's better if she goes outside and engage herself in some work before Raman comes back with the food.
Haan Ishu, ye sahi idea hai.Chal nikal le isse pehle ki Ravan kumar dekhle.- She decided.
Just as she was about to step outside the room, Raman entered with the food plate and asked "O- madrasan, maine kaha tha na ki koi hoshiyaari nahi chalegi! Jab main khaana leke aa raha tha to kahaan bhaagi ja rahi thi choron ki tarah?"
As she was fumbling with words to cook up an excuse, she found herself being dragged by the arm to the footend of the bed.
He made her sit and gave her the plate to eat but she refused saying she's not hungry.
As she was about to get up, he pushed her down to sit again and this time he was about to feed her forcedly when she blurted out in fear of breaking her fast "Raman, main nahi kha sakti, mera vrat tootjayega!"
A pin drop silence followed after her confession. Angry at her for not listening to his advice and risking her health, he threw the food plate angrily as Ishita closed her eyes and ears in fear of his raged anger.
He caught her arm and made her stand, his face close to hers, as he spoke through gritted teeth "Tumne mere mana karne par bhi vrat rakha! Na meri baat suni aur nahi Ruhi ki! Kyun Ishita kyun!"
He jerked her off his hold as she tried to speak "Raman, plz meri baat suniye..." but Raman was in no mood to listen.
"Kya sunu main huh? Aur kya bolun? Ki Ishita, tum kitni mahaan ho. Apne jaan pe khelke tumne meri lambi umar ke liye vrat rakha. Tumhe to oscar award milna chahiye. huh?"
Ishita looks on hurt with tears rolling down her eyes as he went on. "Agar ratti bhar bhi dimaag hota na tujhme, to tum aisi bewakoofi wali harkat nahi karti! Ab tak mazak me kehta tha, lekin ab sach me shak ho raha hai ki tujhe dentist banaya kisne!"
Ishita tried to speak "Raman, ye mera pehla karvachauth ka vrat hai shaadi ke baad. Main to sirf aapke..." again her words trailed off as
Raman looked sharply into her eyes and asked "Mere liye kya? huh? Janta hu ki main acha pati nahi hu, insensitive hu, par itna bhi bura nahi hu ki tum mere khatir apni jaan khatre me daalke vrat karo aur main wah wahi karu tumhari!"
Ishita was now miffed as he never let her speak. "Raman! Kuch bhi! Baat to sunlete pehle.Khair, aapse to baat karna hi bekaar hai!" she folded her hands across chest and pouted angrily.
Raman's anger increased seeing her attitude just when Toshi comes in saying "Oye Ishita Puttar, Raman, aajao chatth pe. Chaand nikalgaya."
Raman looks at Ishita angrily and walks off the room as Toshi wonders "Oye, ab ise kya hogaya?" Ishita tells Toshi nothing to worry and says her that she'll come on terrace with the pooja thali soon.
Toshi smiles and leaves. Ishita thinks to talk to Raman after finishing the pooja rituals.
On the other side, everyone gathered on the terrace and were in a happy mood except Raman. Mihika was excited to open her fast and was busy chitchatting with Mihir when Mihir noticed Raman standing alone in a corner looking up at the moon with a sad face.
He excused himself from Mihika and walked up to Raman and kept his hand on his shoulder as Raman quickly wiped his tears and turned around to face mihir but Mihir was quicker than Raman to notice it.
"Bhai, kya hua?Kuch pareshani hai?" Raman faked a smile saying "Areh Mihir, kuch nahi, bas aise hi, kuch chala gaya tha aankhon me!"
Mihir smiled at that knowing Raman won't accept the fact that he cried!
He asked "Bhai, aapko itna to janta hu ki apki zubaan kuch aur bol rahi hai aur aapki aankhen kuch aur!"
Raman who was trying hard to control his emotions, let his tears flow as he told Mihir "Ishita ne mere liye nirjala vrat rakha hai Mihir. Maine use mana kiya tha. Firbhi usne rakha! Sirf mere liye! Puri shiddat se rakha!"
Mihir wintnessed mixed expressions on Raman's face of happiness, guilt, love and respect for Ishita as Raman explained about how he is angry at her for risking her health for him.
Mihir smiled and said "Bhai, aap bahut lucky ho ki aapko Ishita bhabhi jaisi biwi mili hai. Aapko khush hona chahiye, bhabhi se aapko pyaar se baat karni chahiye thi aur aap ho ki unse naraaz hoke yahan akele ro rahe ho! Kya bhai!"
Raman looked at Mihir angrily with moist eyes as he told "Mihir! Tum jante ho ki Ishita ki kya halat hogayi thi navratri ke fast ke wajah se! Shayad ye koi nahi jaanta ki mere dil pe kya guzri jab maine Ishita ko waha chup chap ICU bed pe lete hue dekha tha! Agar Ishita ko kuch hojata, to main...! Mujhe aur Ruhi ko Ishita ki zaroorat hai!"
Mihir hugs Raman as Mihika walks in to call Mihir but stops when she hears Mihir speaking to Raman
"Bhai, aap bhi na! aap bhabhi ke bina ek pal nahi reh sakte aur bhabhi ke saath ek pal bhi bina lade jhagde nahi reh sakte! Sach me ajeeb sa pyaar hai aap dono ka! Wahan Bhabhi ne aapke liye vrat rakha aur yahan bhabhi ke health ke liye aapne unke liye vrat rakha!"
Mihika is stunned to hear that Raman has fasted for Ishita. She feels excited as she feels it's a romantic gesture of her jiju for her ishita akka.
Mihika quickly sneaks out of the terrace and meets Ishita who's all ready in her room with her thali and is about to go to terrace.
Surprized to see Mihika, Ishita asked "Are Mihika! Tum yahan kya kar rahi ho? Chalo upar sab wait kar rahe honge. Main thodi late hogayi thi. Chalo saath me chalte hai."
As Ishita was about to leave the house, Mihika stopped her and said "Akka, aapko ek shocking news du?"
Ishita brushed off her sister's words and said "Mihika, abhi nahi, pehle chalo pooja karlete hai warna mummyji hum dono ko daant lagayengi aaj!"
Mihika held Ishita's arms and said "Offo Akka! Ek min ruko! aapko pata hai ki Raman jiju ne bhi aapke liye fast rakha hai aaj!"
Ishita was stunned by her words. "Kya? Nahi...Raman kyun vrat rakhenge mere liye..."
Mihika hit her forehead and said "Offo Akka! Aap to Mihir se bhi badi buddhu ho! Ek to jiju ne itne pyaar se aapke liye vrat rakha...its just so romantic and aap ho ki bus jiju ke har actions pe doubt karti rehti ho!"
Ishita tried to register Mihika's words in her mind as she rememberd how she found his lunch box untouched, his lies to cover up for not eating food, and his anger on learning that she fasted for him.
Mihika noticed Ishita's cheeks turn red and smiled "Blushing and all ha akka! Jiju to aapse bahut pyaar karte hai. You're so lucky!"
Ishita playfully hit her saying "Kya Mihika!Kuch bhi!" as she tried to hide her blush and wondered if really Raman is in love with her.
Mihika giggled and ran off saying "Acha main ja rahi hu terrace pe, jaldi aajao akka apna aur jiju ka bhi vrat thodne."
Ishita was blushing and smiling to herself as she took the steps reaching the terrace. There she saw Raman having animated conversation with Bala and Mihir. She couldn't help but smile telling to herself "Mere Ravan Kumar!"
Toshi called out all the couples to stand in a line and explained Mihika and Ishita about the rituals. All through the ritual, Ishita was all smiles looking at Raman while he faked anger at her.
As he offered her water to break the fast, she stopped him and offered it to him saying "Vrat to aapne bhi rakha haina.Pehle aapka vrat main kholungi."
Raman was stunned to know that Ishita knew that he fasted for her. Everyone hears this and claps for Raman. Mr.Bhalla and others tease him as he feels embarassed.
He quickly takes a sip and then offers it to Ishita who chooses to take the sip from the same corner of the karwa where his lips touched it.
He notices it and looks at her amazed as she takes the piece of barfi and offers him.
Raman feels awkward and embarassed with all the teasing as he refuses the sweet and excuses himself from there on the pretext of getting a call.
Ishita gives a naughty smile and follows him to their room.
Raman enters the room followed by Ishita with a plate of food. He sees her but pretends to ignore her as he looks at his mobile screen.
As Ishita walked towards him, he was mentally preparing himself to fight with her as he know she will tease him for shouting at her on keeping fast for him but inturn he had kept fast for her.
Alert Raman beta Alert! Jhansi ki Rani aagayi talwar uthake! apni bachkaani harkaton se baaz nahi aayegi ye! -he thought.
But she surprized him by saying "Thank you Raman" instead of teasing him. He looked at her as she stood there with a genuine smile and moist eyes. His anger vanished into a thin air as she held his hand between hers and said "Aaj jo aapne mere liye kiya, wo koi aur nahi kar sakta Raman!Aap na...aap...world KE BEST HUSBAND HO!" She said with a twinkle in her eyes.
Raman smiled shyly and again looked at her as she naughtily asked "Ravan kumar aaj laal kumar bangaye..!" He looked at her as he remembered Abhimanyu's words echoing in his ears "Tum pati to bangaye...par achche pati nahi bansake!"
He came back to his senses when Ishita offered the sweet to him to break his fast. He took a bite and said "Main to tumhe khilana hi bhool gaya. Ek min" as he was about to pick a sweet to feed her, she stopped him and gestured him to feed her the same piece of barfi which she had fed him.
He said "But wo to mera jhoota hai na!"
She smiled shyly and replied "Main apna vrat isi barfi se kholungi."
He smiled at her and fed her the same piece.
After finishing their dinner, as Ishita was about to leave the room to cleanup the plates, he sat on the couch, fidgeting with his fingers as he called out "Ishita!"
She turned around as he lifted his head to look at her and asked "Abhi jo tumne kaha ki...main...Best husband hu...wo dil se kaha?" he bit his lips in anticipation.
Ishita giggled at his innocent question and replied "Ofcourse Raman! Aap aise kyun pooch rahe hai?"
Raman felt relieved as he took a deep breath and then he said "Kuch nahi, jao apna kaam karo. Mujhe neend aa rahi hai!"
She narrowed her eyes and said "Haawww! Manners naam ki koi cheez hi nahi hai Ravan Kumar me!" as she turned on her heels and walked away.
As she left, Raman smiled to himself saying - "Meri Jhansi ki Rani! Tujhe chidhane ka haq sirf mujhe hai...aur tumse pyaar karne ka bhi...!" He ran his fingers through his hair blushing thinking about her.
On the other side, Ishita was cleaning up the kitchen and blushing thinking about all their cute romantic moments and his fasting for her.
She smiles telling herself- "Raman, aap mujhe kitna bhi chidhalo,gussa karlo, main jaanti hu ki aapke dil me sirf main hu."
