The situations are not comparable. Of course Raman did not deserve what Shagun did to him, but Shagun is the one who put Raman through that misery. Despite having a loving home and family, she was money hungry and cheated on her husband for a rich man, even manipulating her children to get what she wanted. How could such a woman remain happy in her life? Her deeds are bound to catch up with her.
