Yes he definitely .. The signs are there.. Realization is the 1st step to turning yourself around .. He has strong reasons .. Ishita is his love.. And he's not going to give up easy this time.

While she knew what exactly hurt him he is still not completely aware of her hurt. To heal one needs to know the cause of the wound. He has an idea about it, but will now know how much it is hurting her. He will ofcourse accept her with her 'flaws' as he loves her so much and this will drive away her insecurity.
That will help her open up, complete 'pya', which will heal his rejection
Both will address the others insecurity, to remove it permanently by acceptance.

Yes the scene pulled at my heart.. It was very well executed ... Yes there were bloopers.. But that we're technical.. The 'heart' of the scene just was perfection.. It's inspiring
