Okay i have been intending to make this post since yesterday but it kept slipping outta my mind 😆 Its probably just me but i loved how Raman & Ishita's views on marriage were juxtaposed a couple of episodes back..Most shows i have seen on Telly have mainly focused on love..About how love is of utmost importance for a marriage to survive..YHM is probably the only show which looked beyond that..Its true love makes the world go around & all the jazz but i know for a fact that there must be many couples out there who have managed to make their marriage work even if they ain't exactly mad about eachother😆 I loved how Raman & Ishita stressed on the fact that there are other things which can make a marriage work apart from love..Raman & Ishita are so in sync with eachother that their marriage will stay intact even if they don ever fall in love with eachother ( which they will but am talking about a hypothetical scenario 😆)..On the other hand, a couple like Raman-Shagun will separate in no time even if they have all the love in the world..Cos there are some things which are a lot more important than just loving your partner..Ishita respects Raman for what he does, for the love he has for his family & doesn't even mind his obsession with Adi 😆 Raman on the other hand has grown to understand Ishita in such a short while that he knows she is right even if his whole family is against her & she has nothing to prove her innocence ( Param fiasco for instance)..That to me is infinite times greater than any confession or eloquent declaration of love..Shows normally focus on love, passion, attraction, obsession etc etc. but YHM is one of the few shows where the writers have given precedence to emotions like respect, understanding & compatibility..No wonder i always feel this is the best show to air on Telly in a long long time 😆

P.S. Am assuming the post is sorta preachy and boring..But i had to get it outta my system 😆

Thank you :) That was the best part of the episode for me..And its so true..Raman was obsessed with Shagun & Shagun probably loved him too at one point but unfortunately Shagun had no respect for Raman as a person..But Ishita on the other hand has always respected him ever since she saw the real Raman ( apart from the Sanjana fiasco 😆) & that to me is a lot more important than love..

We never got to discuss this!

Yes. I loved that scene for the exact same reason. The way they talked about marriage.
This was the same Ishita who was talking about love a few months ago while Raman said love is ridiculous.
Now, Ishita has learned that there is more to a relationship and Raman is also getting back to trusting love. He may treat it lightly when she asked him but he knows that love is also important.

So yeah, it was interesting in more than one ways.

Haina..Shows or films normally make it seem like love is the be all & end all of life..The whole concept of fairytale romance, Prince Charming etc. etc..But this perspective was so practical & refreshing..And true in a lot of ways..

Absolutely!

Well, all shows talk about it but the way they see it, trust, care, friendship, bonds and those little joys are benefits of love which I guess is true in a way but the reverse is also possible, you start with all of these and reach love.

Good post Ranji 😃.

Yeah that was a lovely epi. Raman stopped believing in love after Shagun left but now with Ishita in his life he has realised that love, trust and understanding are a package deal even though he didn't say it in so many words. Raman knows he's in love but doesn't wanna accept. He'll be J when he sees the real Mani and this may possibly lead to a confession.

Beautifully put.. I too loved that scene & was like wow both think on similar lines.

PS: not related to yhm but have to write. Saw Baldev in jacket other day on show & remembered you 😆 so are you back to watching Veera now that Ranbir has opposed the marriage. 😆
