NO Expectations=NO Disappointments=PLENTY of Surprises!
Well, that's what I had thought but guess what...I was completely wrong.
You will be disappointed regardless of having had any expectations or not. No one is going to knock on your door and say, Surprise'...I've missed you. Things are not always going go the way you want them too. There will be days where you just want to disappear to a place where nobody knows who you are. Sometimes, all you want to do is cry till there are no tears left, scream at the top of your voice or maybe even just literally roll on the floor and laugh out loud. There will be days where you feel like a total loser or feel totally amazing & awesome.
In the end, life is like a roller coaster ride...a never-ending one to be precise and there is nothing you can do to prepare yourself for it.
Other than to just...
"Go with the Flow."
Today, I'm going to tell all of you guys a story. I will try to keep it short and sweet...'will try'...not promising anything. I do get carried away when it comes to stories, especially if it's a Special' one. Get a cup of hot chocolate with some soft marshmallows and a warm fuzzy blanket to wrap yourself.
This is how it all began;
Ishita: I need to tell him.
Divya: What?
Ishita: That I love him.
Divya: What are you waiting...Christmas?
Ishita: I'm scared. What if he says no? What if he doesn't feel the same way as how I feel for him?
Divya: What if he says, yes? What if he too does feel the same way as you? There are plenty of what ifs' you can ask yourself Ishu but the bottom line is, what is it that you really want? Do you want to live your entire life wondering what could have happened if you had taken a brave step forward or just live your life in misery?
Ishita: I don't want to risk our friendship.
Divya: Nothing can come in between true friends. And if this little thing is going to cause you...your friendship with him than he is not fit to be your friend.
Ishita: I will speak to him.
Divya: When?
Ishita: This is coming Friday.
Divya: Our graduation day prom?
Ishita: Yes.
Divya: Don't worry babes. Everything will be fine. If it's meant to be, it will be...nothing/no one can change it.
Raman: I need to tell her.
Rohan: What?
Raman: That I love her.
Rohan: Dude...you waiting for Christmas?
Raman: I'm scared. What if she says no? What if she doesn't feel the same way as how I feel for her?
Rohan: What if I smack you hard across your face right now?
Raman: Bro...I'm being serious.
Rohan: I was kidding. But jokes aside, what if she says yes. What if she too does feel the same way as you? Do you want to live your entire life wondering what could have happened if you had taken a brave step forward or just live your life in misery?
Raman: I don't want to risk our friendship. I need her.
Rohan: Nothing can come in between true friends. And if this little thing is going to cause you...your friendship with her than she's definitely not fit to be your friend.
Raman: I will speak to her.
Rohan: When?
Raman: This is coming Friday.
Rohan: Our graduation day prom?
Raman: Yes.
Rohan: Don't worry bro. It's going to go well. If it's meant to be, it will be...nothing/no one can change it.
Ishita: I'm nervous.
Divya: Not again. Please Ishu, we have been sitting inside the car for the past 45 minutes. By the time you we enter, the entire prom might be over.
Ishita: I'm going back home.
Divya: You spent half the day getting ready to go back home.
Ishita: I can't do this.
Divya: Yes, you can. Your friends are waiting for you Ishu. You already avoided them by telling them that you would come down directly to the venue and now that they all are waiting for you inside, you are sitting in the car and sulking.
Ishita: He would be with them too.
Divya: You don't want him there?
Ishita: It's not that.
Divya: It's not what Ishu? With every passing second, my patience level is shrinking and I will soon drag you out of the car into the ballroom.
Ishita: I'm afraid to look into his eyes.
Divya: Wear your shades.
Ishita: Stop being sarcastic
Divya: Well, I'm glad you know I was being sarcastic. Ishu...Ishu...
Ishita: Hmmm...
Divya: Listen to me. You cannot keep avoiding him for the rest of your life. You have got to face it. What did you tell me 4 days back?.. that you will talk to him today and open up your heart to him. But what are you doing now? Get a grip of yourself. Get your ass off the seat and let's go to the party.
Ishita: Promise me that you won't leave me.
Divya: Promise.
Raman: I'm nervous.
Rohan: For the 100th time...can you please STOP.
Raman: She's going to walk in any moment.
Rohan: That's what you have been saying for the past 45 minutes. I think she's coming from the planet Jupiter, that's why it's taking so long.
Raman: Not funny bro.
Rohan: Chill bro. Why are you a nervous wreck right now? There's still time for it, Hahaha.
Raman: Please don't even talk about that. The more I think about it, the more nervous I get.
Rohan: OMG. You are not going in for some war Ramz. Can you just please calm down. It's all going to be fine. First let's wait for her to come.
Raman: Yes. I can't wait to see her.
Rohan: She and Divya could have come with us.
Raman: Yeah. But than they said they were going to be taking some time, hence they will drive here by themselves.
Rohan: Girls and their "will be ready in 5 minutes" is never truly 5 minutes. Good that we escaped. HAHAHAHHAHA
Raman: Hahahahaha, stop it man.
Rohan: Woah, finally...you laughed.
Raman: Thanks man.
Rohan: Anything for you bro.
With music playing in the background...the lights changing every minute from blue to green to purple to pink to yellow...with mirror shaped stars hanging from the ceiling reflecting the lights all across the room...BOOM, walked in a angel...his angel. His heart stopped beating for a moment there as he laid eyes on her. Across the 100s of people, their eyes instantly fused, even with the changing lights he could see the smile that dawned her face the moment she spot him among all the guys that stood there. But yet, there was this small fear of rejection...rejection by the only girl he ever loved. Unknown to him, at the opposite end, she was feeling the same way...
Will the fear of rejection?..Stop 2 souls from uniting into one.
