Also read Custody and found it interesting and really enjoying the show.In my comparison, I like the characterization both Raman and Ishita better in the show. I felt really bad for the book Raman, I felt he was always trying to do the right thing and always got short changed. Found the book Ishita desperate to petty especially the way she manipulated Ruhi and Raman against Arjun, I get that Arjun didn't like her but he was child with split feeling, confused and conflicted between 2 parents.

Really like the show Raman, his strength and the show Ishita's willing to compromise and reach out both children.

Surprised to hear Ruhi stayed in the shadows in the book. I read that in the book Ruhi was sweet and caring like Raman and the son is bitter because of all the poisoning by Shagun. Yeah you're right! I read custody a few months ago and I did notice all these differences, thanks for putting them into words!

There can be some drastic changes to the show that can make it better from all the other ekta kapoor shows however, so that its not just a daily soap!
