"Shagun?" Ishita was walking back to her car after meeting a friend for dinner when she saw Shagun staggering and struggling to keep her balance outside the hotel. The manager was trying to hold her up, but he was getting pretty irritated.
"Do you know her?" He asked with a silent plea in his voice, hoping to get this drunken woman off his hands.
Ishita had a moral dilemma, should she say no and be on her way to her family and forget the whole incident? Or should she say yes and bring a whole bunch of crap onto herself? She started to turn away, ready to walk away, but something stopped her.
She sighed. "Yes, I do," her voice was meek, hoping that the manager wouldn't hear her and let her go.
"Oh thank god," the manager said under his breath, but Ishita made out what he said and made a face. "Please take her! She's been drinking all night and is out of control! I'm trying to find out where she lives so that I can send her on her way, but she's too drunk to know that either!" Ishita felt bad for the poor guy, he was just doing his job. But he brightened up instantly. "But now that you're here, please take her, madam. I have lots of work to do! Good night!" And with that, he left Shagun in the able hands of Ishita Bhalla.
"Aiyoo Murugan, what the hell have I done? Now what am I supposed to do with this madam?" Ishita struggled to keep Shagun standing straight, and eventually gave up and slung Shagun's hands over her own shoulders and started walking to her car. "I couldn't have left her here right? That wouldn't be moral. I'm moral. I'm moral. I'm a moron."
Shagun groaned and looked up at Ishita, finally realizing who this was. "Ishitaaa! You're here? Hiii! How's Ruhi? How's Ramannn? Does he still miss me?" Ishita rolled her eyes. Is this why she was helping Shagun? To hear about Raman's unending love for his ex-wife?
"Shagun, you've had too much to drink. Let me drop you home and you'll be your way and I'll be mine." Ishita really didn't want to get into conversation with Shagun when she was sober, so why in the world would she want to talk to a drunk Shagun? It was like seven times the stupidity because there was no filter between Shagun's thoughts and words.
"Home? I can't go homeee. Ashok baby kicked me ooout," and with that, Shagun started crying miserably, her mascara streaming down her face and her wails hurting Ishita's ears.
"Umm...so what do you want me to do? Drop you to a friend's house?" Ishita obviously couldn't believe what she was hearing about Ashok but she honestly didn't give a shit. It was Ashok and Shagun, honestly. Why would she need to care about their problems when they created enough problems in her life anyways?
"I don't have friends, Ishitaaa!" Between her wails, Shagun was somehow able to make that sentence and Ishita wasn't that surprised. Shagun didn't seem like the type to make friends.
After much contemplating and fighting with herself, Ishita's moral compass pointed in one direction. Bhalla House.
