I didn't like Raman's lecture about women safety in their house coz it was like it was extracted from a textbook. His outburst after when he voiced his dilemma to Bala that we often forget how being a man is also difficult was much more heartfelt and impactful. This part is still one of my favorite scene.

Likewise yesterday it was not Ishita's presence that didn't work. In fact, I don't think she intruded in Raman and Ruhi's moment. Ruhi made it clear that it was a convo between her and her father alone and to her credit Ishita respected that and didn't intervene until they finished.

What didn't work was her lecturing the conference people and the kameena gang. Why? Simply because it wasn't heartfelt, it was downright preachy in nature, lengthy and considering the place and audience wasn't necessary.

Lately CVs have shown signs of transforming Ishita's character into that preachy superwoman which can fast be irritating. It wasn't the case earlier so I hope CVs will not continue with this.
"Social message" work best when it is felt, not force fed. Just my opinion.

@bold
agree... same applies whether it comes from raman, ishita or anyone else...

Yes agree with you. Said so in my above post. That why I mentioned it was interesting that you brought up the social message of women safety in their home made by Raman. Back then too I didn't like that part as I have said it was not heartfelt.

- Her butting in the conversation of Raman and Ruhi was not needed as it only diverted the minds of audience from such a wonderful scene.

- Her conversation with Mihir about they losing contract but winning love also was not necessary.

- Her lecture given to officials about the article could have been cut short and made more impactful.

- Her last lecture where she teaches Ruhi the lesson of life after Param's entry was completely uncalled for.

I hope CV's r not planning to turn this show into one superwoman show who solves all the problems like it happens in other shows which r running on the channels.

Her butting in the conversation signifies her comfort level with the two, her child and her husband, and acceptance into the family. Otherwise Raman would've said something to her indirectly.

Her conversation with Mihir was only to taunt the trio indirectly; it also signifies that she is with RAMAN and not with MEDIA/WINNING OR LOSING TEAM.

Her lecture to officials was a monologue that all dramas must have.. a lesson to the viewers.. That was bound to be there...

Her "life lesson" was a lesson to her daughter. All good parents (sometimes even siblings) do that to ensure their child does not go off the right path..

True !! and this what I am scared off.. After cricket match, I can feel a shift in the way CV's are handling the characters, hope it is not taking the route which I feel they r taking.🤢

Your suspicion is not misplaced unfortunately😭 The day it quits being ABOUT RAMAN & ISHITA... And becomes all about Ishita' s reform movement, it will transform into yet another run of the mill soap🤢

The hasty attempt to resinstate Raman's award on Varalakshmi Pooja day, and the preachy sermons yesterday cannot all be coincidence😭 To his credit the three minutes that KP appears with DT in a scene, HE ABSOLUTELY ROCKS!👏

I dont want to crave for "three minute windows" for the next 2000 episodes

If you read my comment I said "She needs to find her own preaching platform. HIS work needs to be about HIM"

to put in Ishita's language - Kuch bhi 😆
No comment on too much screen space as just doesn't make sense to me 😕 If not Ishita & Raman along with Ruhi, who else get screen space 🤔

About the conversation, yes Raman-Ruhi convo could've been more intense and emotional but still it was good. Ishita being there, well important convo between HER HUSBAND & DAUGHTER so of course has to be there. I didn't find her interfering, have seen mother facilitate such things so many times. Ishita is the one convinced Ruhi to do what she did. Focusing on her reaction in between, well it affects her too how her hubby & daughter interact 😛

Now bhashan baji after that, it looks all preachy. But then i have yet to see a daily soap where lead is not preachy ! All in name of social message. This time it's Ishita, next will be Raman and then even Ruhi may get preachy 😆

what is more irritating is for any contract it's only Raman & Ashok 😕 itne bade delhi me bass yahi do he jo contract chahte he 🤪

Really good observation Abhilasha!👏

So true... until Ishita entered that family, Mrs Bhalla was feisty and bold
Since MIL and DIL became best friends, Mrs Bhalla is like "Oh! SHE can never go wrong"
😭
One extreme to the other!
All Ishita has to say is "Main hoon Raman ke saath. Main Raman ke liye karoongi. Raman ko main bachaoongi"
And the crusade begins, how ever juvenile it may be

And then ends with a bhashan

I still remember Mrs Bhalla's rant to her outside the courthouse after Ruhi's custody is granted to Ishra, when Shagun is practically nasty to Ishita and calls her a gold digger

Mrs Bhalla says "I am not sure if you are as innocent as you look. BUT, how come you went off to tear up my son at the TV station the other day, but suddenly today you are a sobbing mumbling helpless woman front of Shagun?"
Mrs Bhalla rocked👏

I smiled... that line was SO powerful

Whoever wrote it for Mrs Bhalla did a great job

Mr Bhalla has no role any more
Like Rinki it has vanished😲

Nisha Amen to that.

Those shows where the female lead is a Devi ma solving all problems and the male lead is just a wall carpet are 🤢

Thanksfully our show hasn't yet come to this and I pray to god it won't ever turn this way

Aeryn, I JUST watched the clip where Raman demands 65k from Param.
KP is extraordinary👏 Its such a treat to watch him emote. I hope for your sake as well as mine😃 this show continues to be about ISHRA😳 Nothing sends my heart racing as these two do.

P.S. I could have watched a TWENTY TWO MINUTE (an entire episode😉)back and forth between Ishra... leaning on the car. Im OK with that!!😳😉
That scene was a classic...

One extreme to the other! This is the worst part, CV's have suddenly changed the character and Mrs. Bhalla's character is such that it does not suit her image. I would love to watch Mrs. Bhalla charge on the trio anytime whenever the need arises, just as she did during the DNA test, trying to get Ishita towards herself, etc. Not only in the matters of Raman has she gone quiet but in other kids also, she is now relying on her. When Ishita asked her to not go and talk to Simmi after the fight on Rakshabandhan, she stopped without a word, the old Mrs. Bhalla would have told Ishita that she knew what she was doing and doesn't want her advice. Its good to see MIL and DIL bond so well but to do that, I don't want Mrs. Bhalla to lose her essence.

All Ishita has to say is "Main hoon Raman ke saath. Main Raman ke liye karoongi. Raman ko main bachaoongi"

Mrs. Bhalla rocked in every scene, she did... I love her outrageous -- "Oye"

Mr Bhalla has no role any more

Agreed ! why did the makers also show poor man pull up his socks and stop the fight on the Rakshabandhan night when in the very next scene it had to be shown that Ishita, just like other leads, discreetly asks Param to meet her and then invites him in the house to stay over while others remain clueless till Param dropped at the door with his bag.

I felt this scene to be disrespectful, and so not YHM style. coz this scene showed Ishita disrespecting elders and as a person who feels only her solutions are right and so they should be followed by will or by force. (strictly my POV)🤢😡 which Ishita is not. She believes in taking the family along with her in every decision or step she takes.

The same scene in YHM style would have been,

Raman and Mr. Bhalla putting their heads together for the solution with Ishita and others present and Ishita giving her opinion and everybody pondering and then agreeing to the idea, or Raman and Ishita having the conversation which they had the other day in the room, in the night itself and then Raman putting forth the idea in front of his parents the next morning, just how they showed them putting their suspicion in front of Mr and Mrs. Bhalla during Amma's accident track where they suspected Param to be the culprit.

But unfortunately the scene did not take this flow.
