Hey Aani
Remember I told you some time ago, that there will come a point where you and I will disagree ??? well, this is it😆
and FYI... I was planning to make a post today, with the content almost exactly opposite to what you put up!!! at least our timing matched😛
So, first I like your interesting take on the art of war and the strategies that you need to implement for winning in the long term. I also do understand and realise that this is kinda an extreme step, but maybe needed to close this matter once and for all.
BUT... the execution of this strategy is where my problem lies:
- Nothing in Ishita's body language or expression suggested that she is just fed up of this Param drama and she is tired of the fact the no one seems to voice their support for her. If anything, it looks like she went out because she wanted to make Simmi 'happy'. NOw, she may justify this later as something she had to do to expose Param, but the act in itself has no evidence of her desperation.
- I mentioned this on Vyas' post yesterday, it was highly uncharacteristic of Ishita to defy Mr Bhalla's directive that everyone should just go to sleep and think about Param with a clear head in the morning. His advice was quite sensible, and there is a reason for that advice; when emotionally charged, people take rash decisions. That is exactly what Ishita did.
- I don't think Ishita is/was concerned for Simmi's 'safety'. The reason I am saying is that is, throughout this whole Simmi-blaming-everyone track, Ishita has been the only one who's always been saying, "Think from Simmi's perspective. She loves Param, he is her first love. Let her meet him. Let her react the way she is... etc. etc." So what happened that made Ishita suddenly want to destroy Param and 'save' Simmi ??? Is it the threat of a divorce notice that changed her mind? Didnt she always know that Param is the villain?
- I do applaud the strength she has and the independence she does exhibit. But, by doing this without discussing with anyone (leave alone Raman, but anyone in either family), she's precisely doing what she accuses Raman of doing. Taking matters into one's hands, without trusting anyone else to help.
Finally, the elephant in the room: Ishita has been shown to be the woman that was not really affected by the attack on her (except her reactions when it happened). She has displayed anger at Param, but never flinched in his presence. I was just thinking about it last night. Maybe, the CVs wanted to show her as a woman who is actually strong, fights against all odds, and is not cowered down by the molestation incident.
Which is applause-worthy and all, but that doesn't have to be emphasised by her texting her molestor to meet outside to discuss the situation of his marital life. The biggest concern I have is not that Ishita is shown to be Mahaan, but she is shown to be a kind of 'strong' (and I use that word only because I Dont have any other), that most of such victims are not. I just dont like the message it sent. What is next? Is she going to put herself (or God Forbid Sarika) in the same room alone with Param, so he can say something/make a move and then they show it to Simmi ? Where is the empowerment in that?
It seems that the CVs are using Ishita's character to mold into whatever personality they feel like, to suit the needs of the 'drama' in any given week.
