To do that you would have to tackle the filth which is what Ishita is doing here - she is tackling filth head on

@bold nicely explained 👏

Someone like Ishita would never come up with a idea as ridiculous as tying raakhi on a creep like Param to keep him away and give Param the place of a brother- that would be making a fool of the brother sister relations she respects.
But Param doing this is another case, there possibly couldn't be a better trap for Param. When Simmi would see Paramn misbehaving with Ishita even after tying Raakhi, that would be a rude shock to Simmi and wake her up from her dream world.

Yep they made Pervy come up with the idea - the wolf donning the attire of the sheep 😉 and in this way Simi would have to believe that if he can misbehave with Ishita even after she is his rakhi sis, as per his own idea, would he have not done what Ishita accused him of earlier?

I agree to most of your views and bringing Param to Bhalla house is surely the best solution to Simmi's problem. To plan it out perfectly and bring his true colors before Simmi without any iota of doubt left. Then Simmi herself will throw him out of the house and her life. I am sure this will happen in the long run
The only thing I felt that she had to do was to discuss with Raman and plan it together. She had made him agree after Param comes, then why not before she goes to meet him secretly telling a lie at home. Param could have very well used it against it her again. He didnt do it and that was really a stroke of luck for Ishita. What if he had shown Simmi and the family that Ishita wanted to meet him all alone.. So basically, that move from her felt a little far fetched from reality.
In real life, a woman, a wife in particular wouldnt do such a daring act of hiding it from her husband and meet a person who tried to molest her in private like this, be whatever the emotional reason behind it.
In that sense, she was acting like a mahaan risking her own dignity and life for her sister-in-law's sake!

Hey Aani

Remember I told you some time ago, that there will come a point where you and I will disagree ??? well, this is it 😆

and FYI... I was planning to make a post today, with the content almost exactly opposite to what you put up!!! at least our timing matched 😛

So, first I like your interesting take on the art of war and the strategies that you need to implement for winning in the long term. I also do understand and realise that this is kinda an extreme step, but maybe needed to close this matter once and for all.

BUT... the execution of this strategy is where my problem lies:

- Nothing in Ishita's body language or expression suggested that she is just fed up of this Param drama and she is tired of the fact the no one seems to voice their support for her. If anything, it looks like she went out because she wanted to make Simmi 'happy'. NOw, she may justify this later as something she had to do to expose Param, but the act in itself has no evidence of her desperation.

- I mentioned this on Vyas' post yesterday, it was highly uncharacteristic of Ishita to defy Mr Bhalla's directive that everyone should just go to sleep and think about Param with a clear head in the morning. His advice was quite sensible, and there is a reason for that advice; when emotionally charged, people take rash decisions. That is exactly what Ishita did.

- I don't think Ishita is/was concerned for Simmi's 'safety'. The reason I am saying is that is, throughout this whole Simmi-blaming-everyone track, Ishita has been the only one who's always been saying, "Think from Simmi's perspective. She loves Param, he is her first love. Let her meet him. Let her react the way she is... etc. etc." So what happened that made Ishita suddenly want to destroy Param and 'save' Simmi ??? Is it the threat of a divorce notice that changed her mind? Didnt she always know that Param is the villain?

- I do applaud the strength she has and the independence she does exhibit. But, by doing this without discussing with anyone (leave alone Raman, but anyone in either family), she's precisely doing what she accuses Raman of doing. Taking matters into one's hands, without trusting anyone else to help.

Finally, the elephant in the room: Ishita has been shown to be the woman that was not really affected by the attack on her (except her reactions when it happened). She has displayed anger at Param, but never flinched in his presence. I was just thinking about it last night. Maybe, the CVs wanted to show her as a woman who is actually strong, fights against all odds, and is not cowered down by the molestation incident.

Which is applause-worthy and all, but that doesn't have to be emphasised by her texting her molestor to meet outside to discuss the situation of his marital life. The biggest concern I have is not that Ishita is shown to be Mahaan, but she is shown to be a kind of 'strong' (and I use that word only because I Dont have any other), that most of such victims are not. I just dont like the message it sent. What is next? Is she going to put herself (or God Forbid Sarika) in the same room alone with Param, so he can say something/make a move and then they show it to Simmi ? Where is the empowerment in that?

It seems that the CVs are using Ishita's character to mold into whatever personality they feel like, to suit the needs of the 'drama' in any given week.

Rem the scene that Toshi had with Simi after this whole thing when pervy got arrested she went in her room and when her mom came to talk to her she refused that, also when Toshi aunty tries to switch on the lights she stops her - Simi' words are let them be - I wanna stay in the dark... but the truth is no matter what - hard as you may want to try - you cant hide always and stay in the dark and even if you want to do that, you cant stop the sun from rising - it has, will and does.

Similarly the truth has to come out even if you may wanna deny it - hiding from it wont change it.

And no woman can accept a molester even if she is afraid of a divorce - here Simi has seen what her bro underwent making her a coward but how long can you stay in denial and fear. At some point things snap and so will Simi finally bend,

Ishita knows what she is doing here and actually expecting the man to show his true colors because as long as Simi keeps blaming her for her broken marriage she also keeps on accusing Ishita in a veiled way of being an immoral husband who pursued her husband - Ishita in my opinion has had enough of that to resort to this.

@Bold: Cannot really say that this is true. In real life a woman with no support and no financial standing may endure it. Yes, Simmi's situation is different as she has full support of her family.

Aani, I understand that Ishita has brought Param to expose him in front of Simmi. But there is no guarantee that Simmi may be present when he behaves. How long this track CVs stretch, it depends on it.

That's a interesting point of view aani... Liked it a lot...

You are right... Though Ishita is not responsible for this mess, somewhere Bhallas still feel that Ishu is somewhere responsible because of which they are not able to defend Ishu...

When Raman proved Ishita's innocence and threw that pervert out, the first question that disturbed him was Simi's future and i wouldn't blame Raman for the same... He's Ishita's husband but he's not her husband alone... He has his responsibilities towards Simi and other members also... So, he's not able to defend Ishita even after realising that Simi is accusing her of something which is nowhere her fault... So, we saw that anger in Saturday's episode...

Regarding Toshi... She knows that Ishita is good but as a mother, she still feels that Ishita is somewhere responsible. According to her, Ishita must have never moved with Param. She's right from her own place. She's a illiterate woman, from school of old traditions... So, she's bound to react like that...

So, in this mess, Ishu is somewhere forced to take a decision... Meeting him at that hour is not a sound option but sadly, she didn't have another option left... Though it seems that Ishita is being mahaan by doing so, actually it is a nice move... Let us see how they take this track forward... Manipulative Ishita...

Brilliant post yaar...

Aani ... brilliant post as always... however, while I agree to each and every word in your post .. this still does not justify her eagerness to meet him in the middle of night, all alone without telling anyone ... None whatsoever as per my logic

I had read this book during my college days ... so faint memories ... one of the quotes says, "He who wishes to fight must first count the cost" ... I think Ishita needs to do this big time ... never think less of your opponent and be prepared ... otherwise, if you try and meddle with a snake all alone without any defense mechanism, you are bound to be bitten and this time its not the snake who will be at fault.

That creep can corner her, rape her, and all of us know, there are worse things than rape as well ... she knows first hand, he is capable of doing all that ...

/*MY ANSWERS ON MERA'S THREAD */

For me the biggest shocker is .. Ishita is a sensible educated woman with her brain in right places (errr ... am not sure after her actions ...), then why does she need to bypass the protocol and take matters in her hand?

Mr. Bhalla is the head of the house and if he has instructed everyone to sleep over it then she does not need to do things haphazardly. Even if she wants to meet Param, there is no way in the world, that Param will get divorce from Simmi in the middle of the night.

Ok ... she needs to take action .. I am ready to gulp that ... she has the guilt (guilt that a man tried to raped her ... Bruuaaahhh 😡... sounds alien to my ears) so she wants to fix the matters, but why not wait till the morning, meet him in a public place lets say in the middle of the day, where he will think 100 times before making a move. Ever heard of a secret sense of women dear? I mean we women have the knack to sense danger and recognize looks from so far off ...

Not to mention, it gives a wrong message ... I watched Mardaani this weekend ... while that movie is all about women power, at the same time, the biggest USP of the movie is the fact that the protagonist is logical, rational and takes calculated risk. She is a sensible woman who is completely aware of her strength and weaknesses and utilizes them in the best possible manner.

Imagine my agony ... It was simply not acceptable for me .. even if they show Ishita has mahaan later in the track, or may be she is able to uncover Param later on, in no way whatsoever, her actions can be justified.
To conclude, it is utterly stupid, foolish and brainless move.

Very well said Lucky! Agree with you 100%. You have summarised my thoughts beautifully. I can't support Ishita in this matter as I do feel that she is handling the situation wrongly by not listening to Mr Bhalla's sensible advice and more importantly she was wrong not to involve her husband in this dangerous situation. Her actions was simply foolish since what if Param chose manipulate the situation in another way? Men like Param can't be trusted at all.
