Also, just because Suraj said that Ashok would help is not direct proof against Ashok in any way. Ashok is not responsible for what his brother says or does in any way. And I'm not even a lawyer!

The most damning thing they did was sign an affidavit saying that they will withdraw their complain in return for the presidentship. Now that's clear cause for Ashok's removal, but no one seems to think so.

Also the video could have been a doctored one. Any Association would have wanted to ascertain the true facts before taking a decision. Maybe they could have stalled Ashok's nomination and waited till they get convinced.
Also the blackmail wasn't highlighted. Pointing that out would have made the association's decision more credible.

Now I am convinced...when the episode was going on, even i was nt satisfied with the logic...as i was also thinking what made the association people change their decision just bcoz of Suraj's wrong intentions...actly i wanted Ashok's blackmail truth to come out...But then ur point is some what correct, Ishita's reputation would have been in trouble...And then again Ishra would have been back to square one ...fighting fro license
