Blackmail part two : Ishita VS Raman !

In the morning, Ishita is taking care of everyone but she gives special attention to Raman. Ishita knows that raman will ask her every little thing for him as part of the blackmail so she does what needed before he even ask so she doesn't have to hear his taunts. If she sees him waving his mobile at her one more time, she thinks she'll go crazy.

Raman on the other hand is disappointed. He doesn't take as much pleasure in seeing ishita working so hard as in giving her orders and she has taken this power from him.

Raman : "Ishita, bring me..."

Ishita "your tea is on the table. No sugar with a slice of lemon."

Raman "Where is my..."

Ishita "Your suitcase is on the chair over there, your files are already in it and I've put your phone on charge"

Raman "Can you put..."

Ishita "I've made your tiffen with aloo ke parathe, rosted beef and palak paneer. It's on the counter".

Raman is annoyed so he doesn't finish his breakfast, takes his stuff and rush outside.

Toshi "what is wrong with him this morning?"

At work Raman isn't working today either. He is trying to think of another idea to take control of Ishita. Since he can't ask her anything she can predict, he has to be original.

Raman to himself: "Yeh madrasan badi smart ban rahi hai aaj khal. Raman puttar kuch soch !" After some time : "Idea! Since she prepares in advance everything I ask of her, I need to ask her something she didn't even think about. I'll take her on a date! Ab dekhna yeh madrasan kia karegi !"

He knows he is being childish but he can't bear the idea that ishita has almost turned his blackmail master plan ("BMP" as he likes to call it) at her own advantage. He can't lose to her or his name is not RAMAN KUMAR BHALLA.

When he comes back home, he checks online to see a good location where he could take Ishita. He settles for a 5 stars restaurant near a lake.

Ishita enters the room and sees him "working" on his laptop.

Raman : "ishita. I..."

Ishita : "I've put your clothes on the-"

Raman : "SHUT UP!" Ishita looks at him shocked.

Raman : "I know you can do your duty of a wife perfectly. That's not what I was going to ask you."

Ishita rolls her eyes : "So... What do you want now? Another massage?"

Raman, proud of himself as he feels in control again : "No. You should know that I'm my own creative writer and that I'm full of imagination. I've got another idea." He smirks.

Ishita doesn't like it. She is expecting the worst. Raman comes closer to her and turns slowly around her like a shark around his prey.

Raman : "Don't think I didn't notice that you tried to outsmart me all day ! You shouldn't do that though. The more you fight me, the more I'll expect from you... Keep in mind that I have the power alright?"

Ishita is silent, she is waiting for the sentence to fall.

Raman enjoying her silence instead of the usual lectures : "So I have decided... that tonight... you will..." Ishita is tensed. "Accompany me for dinner."

Ishita's mouth falls open. "Why would I want to go to dinner with you? What is this? A date? Have you gone crazy?"

Raman still confident : "Listen Madrasan, I'm not in the mood to argue with you. Either you decide to be my date for tonight or you can be exposed in front of the whole society."

Ishita crosses her arms and squints her eyes: "I think I'd rather be exposed than go on a date with you."

Raman angry : "Do you really mean that? Look, if you don't care about your reputation, at least you should care about ruhi!"

Ishita worried : "What do you mean Ruhi?"

Raman : "Think of all the others kids making fun of her when they'll see that her mom is crazy in the head. Tss tss poor kid..."

Ishita is shocked to hear that and she is angry at raman to use "ruhi ke liye" in this situation. When he sees his wife's face, raman is thrilled. That look is what he does all of this for. He feels as if his day is not complete until he has brought this expression of utter annoyance, shock and anger on his Jansi ki Rani's face. What he loves even more is that whatever she is feeling, she has to stay in control to not disappoint as a bahu, mother and wife. He just likes it too much to stop. Don't they say "you only tease the ones you love"? Well Raman goes by this saying when it comes to Ishita.

Raman was too busy in patting himself on his back, that he didn't notice the change in ishita.

Ishita : "It's time to stop this game Raman."

Raman turns around to look at her. "there is no way I'm stopping anything. Things are just getting interesting."

Ishita is now acting as shaddy as him. raman doesn't like that. He feels like she has a plan too.

Ishita : "Well raman, I didn't want to stoop as low as this but since you don't want to be reasonable, I HAVE to do it, right?"

Raman worried : "What do you mean?"

Ishita with a small evil laugh : "I have some footage of you too Raman."

Raman shocked doesn't want to believe it.

Ishita continues : "I thought that you would stop blackmailing me after the massage but since it's getting out of hand, I have to take measures." She gets out her mobile and starts playing a video.

It's a video of raman talking in his sleep. In the video, raman is begging and almost crying : "I love you so so much, please don't leave me. Tum meri biwi ho, tum yeh nahi kar sakti." At first raman thinks Ishita recorded a bad dream he was having about Shagun. But then he gets even more shocked as the video continues : "I love you Ishita, you're everything to me, don't leave me please. Think of ruhi. Think of me...".

Raman : " Ishita? When is this from?"

Ishita : "it's from the night before you went on picnic with shagun, adi and ruhi. At first you were just behaving weird that's why I decided to record you, I wanted to make fun of you in front of ruhi but by the time I got closer with my mobile in hand, you started saying this... I admit I shouldn't have kept this but... this is what gave me the strength to stay by your side during the court case. It made me understand that you were suffering as much as I was."

Raman is totally shocked. 1) he can't believe he admitted in his sleep that he loved Ishita, 2) he can't believe she never taunted him once with this footage 3) what will do ishita now that she is aware of his feelings?

Ishita looks at raman, proud of herself : "So now Raman... If you don't stop blackmailing me, I might judge necessary to leak this video... as a safety measure you know? I'll probably ask Romi to spread the video at your office. I wonder what your employees will think of their god-like-boss then..."

Raman trying to control himself :"Don't... Don't do that Ishita. I'm sorry I've blackmailed you. I'll do everything you ask me to do, for as long as you want me to, but don't leak this video."

Ishita : "delete all the copies you have of my video."

Raman : "done."

Ishita "...what else could I ask...?" She turns around him like a shark, just like he did before.

Raman is tensed.

Ishita "Idea! Take me on a date!"

Raman looks at her surprised. A date? Wasn't this his idea?

Ishita reading the question in his eyes: "Raman, I don't need you to blackmail me to go on a dinner with you. I'd love that actually..." She leans in to give him a peck on the cheek and quickly leaves to get ready.

Raman both smiles and blushes. His Jansi ki Rani is his perfect match !

Epilogue :

Truth is, they initially never thought of blackmailing the other one. Raman kept the video of ishita because she said "I love Bhalla!" in it and ishita kept raman's video because he said "I love you Ishita."

But now they won't have to keep these trinkets as after their date, they'll have plenty of occasions to hear the "I love you" words from the other one. But that... is a story for another time ! 😃
