Thanks to one n all for liking my last update. The next update will be slightly sadder as there'll be misunderstanding between ishra but this is needed to lay a foundation of their relationship. So plz bear with me. Promise that 6th part will be romantic.

Next morning, subbu arrives at the Iyers. He takes blessings of Mr & Mrs.Iyer and greets mihika who rather doesn't even respond to him.

He settles in the guest room and freshens up.

At Bhalla's, ishita is sad still worried about facing subbu since it's quite impossible that she can avoid seeing him considering that he will be staying at her home that too as her neighbour.

Raman and ishita avoid looking into each other eyes. Ishita gets call from sarika saying the patient has already come for root canal surgery.

Ishita hurriedly walks outside the door while speaking to sarika as she suddenly collides with subbu near the steps and they both fall down infront of the bhalla house.

Raman sees ishita fallen and runs to her calling out her name. Before he could reach her, subbu manages to get up and holds ishita's hand to help her get up.

Ishita sees that it is subbu and exclaims "Subbu! Tum!"
Raman then comes to know he is the Subbu who was his wife's first love.

They both look into each other's eyes with Subbu's hand still holding Ishita's.

Raman breaks their eyelock as he frees ishita's hand from Subbu's hold and holds her close to him putting his arm around her shoulder.

Ishita is confused and her mind goes blank. Raman asks her softly "tum theek ho na ishita?" While his eyes are fixed on Subbu.

Ishita feels numb seeing her past and present standing infront of her.

Raman slightly squeezes ishita's shoulder while saying "chalo main clinic chod deta hu tumhe."

Ishita just walks along looking at him as Raman takes her with him by holding her hand. Subbu has mixed expressions on his face as he sees them both leaving hand in hand.

All along the way, raman and ishita remain silent in the car. Both not sure of how and what to say.

The car screeches to a hault as they reach her clinic. Ishita turns to look at him before getting down but he looks straight focussing somewhere on road.

Ishita gets down and closes the car door when finally Raman utters her name.

She turns back to face him as he manages to smile a little and say "shaam ko pickup karlunga main. Phone kardena."

Ishita nods in agreement and smiles back as he drives off.

Raman reaches office and the scene of Subbu colliding with Ishita and then holding her hand plays on loop in his mind.

He gets frustrated with his thoughts and breaks the pen in his hand into two pieces.

He thinks to himself- kyun ho raha hai ye sab. Aur kyun farak padh raha hai mujhe! Subbu is her past and now she's my wife. But why do I feel she still has feelings for him?

He makes a fist and hits on the table thinking why does it matter to him if subbu would meet her or talk to her. Why is it that it burns him when he saw him touching her.

In the evening, Raman drives to Ishita's clinic to pick her up even though he waited for her call and she didn't call him.

Ishita is surprized to see him there. She asks "Raman? Aap? Mujhe thoda aur waqt lagega isliye maine call nahi kiya aapko."

Raman says "its ok. Mera kaam khatam hogaya tha to socha I'll pick you up. I'll wait for you outside. You finish your work."

Ishita stops him by holding his sleeves as he turns around to face her.

She says "aap mere cabin me aaraam kijiye thodi der. Main bas jaldi kaam khatam karke aati hu."

Raman nodded as he went to her cabin. He sat in her chair and tried to relax when his eyes fell on the small photo frame on her table which had the photo of him and Ruhi together just like he had her and Ruhi's pic in his laptop.

He smiled as he took the photo frame in his hand.

Later, they both reach home and have dinner with everyone.
Ishita is telling Ruhi bedtime story but Ruhi's not sleeping. Ruhi asks her "ishima, aapko pata hai aaj mai subbu uncle se mili jo paati ke ghar pe rehne aaye hai. Wo uncle bahut ache hai. Mujhe aur sravu ko icecream bhi khilaya!"

Ishita stares at Raman as he angrily shouts at Ruhi "bas karo ruhi! Koi bhi tumhe ice cream khila de to wo acha nahi ho jata hai! Tum door raho uss subbu se! Aur bahut late hogaya hai. Chup chaap so jao."he orders her as she becomes sad and looks at ishita.

Ishita hugs Ruhi and takes her in her lap and makes her sleep. Raman covers himself with the blanket and pretends to have slept to avoid her lecture to him on his behaviour.

Ishita decides to talk to him as she can bear his rudeness but she will not let him scream at ruhi when there's no fault of hers.

As she's about to talk to him, she gets a call from an unknown number. She hesitantly answers it only to realise it's Subbu at the other end. She walks into the living room to avoid disturbing Raman and Ruhi's sleep.

Subbu speaks with great effort "Ishita, plz call mat kaatna. I want to talk to you once and din me sab ke hote hue hum mil nahi sakte. Isliye ab call kar raha hu. Can you meet me downstairs? Please?"

Ishita reluctantly agrees and meets him below their appartments.

Subbu decides to break the silence saying "thanks ishu for coming down on my insistence."

Ishita looks at him sternly saying "firstly, call me Ishita as Ishu sirf mere apne bula sakte hai mujhe. Secondly, aapko agar past ke baare me baat karna hai to I'm not interested! "

Subbu realises the anger and hurt caused by him years ago which she has suppressed in her heart till now. He doesn't fail to notice how she called him 'aap' while it was always 'tum' when they were together.

He sighs saying "ishita! Right! Ab to main tumhare liye gair hu."

"Correction! Aap kabhi mere apne the hi nahi. To lets cut the crap and come to the point! Kyun bulaya hai itni raat ko mujhe?"

"Ishita, I know ki maine tumhara trust break kiya hai, par uss waqt mujhe jo sahi laga wo maine kiya. Imagine ki agar maine tumse shaadi kii bhi hoti to at some point in life, we may not be together as our priorities were different and so was our thinking. Aur badme pachtane se acha tha ki hum shadi se pehle hi alag hogaye. But I do regret never turning back to feel how hurt you might have been because of me."

Ishita looks on teary eyed as he continues "ishita, I still love you even though I've been married and have my own kid, yet my true love has been only you. But I know ki you have moved on too and now you have a husband and a lovely daughter. I'm genuinely happy for you and really sorry for all the hurt I ever caused to you."

He looks into ishita's eyes trying to know her reply. She finally wipes her tears and smiles saying "you know what subbu, you're actually right! Agar aap mujhe chodke nahi jaate to shayad mujhe Ruhi nahi milti aur Ruhi nahi milti to shayad main kabhi apne sachche pyaar se nahi milti-Raman se!" Her face glows as she takes Raman's name.

Meanwhile Raman tosses in bed unable to sleep. He sits up to drink water when he notices Ishita is not there in the room. He worriedly searches for her in the home but doesn't find her. As he enters the balcony to look for her, he looks from above ishita smiling and talking to subbu.

Raman is angry and hurt that so late in the night ishita went to meet subbu without anyone seeing them and she didn't even tell him either. He was more angry seeing them smiling and talking to each other as if they're the best of friends.

On the other side, ishita tells subbu "I'm lucky to have met Raman. He is the perfect one for me. And my life belongs to him and only him."

Subbu is genuinely happy that she got the happiness that she deserved in her life. He requests her "ishu. ...I mean ishita! Kya hum un buri yadon ko bhulke firse dost ban sakte hai?"

Ishita thinks about it for sometime and then says "mushkil hai...par try kar sakte hai." Managing a small smile on her face.

Subbu feels relaxed saying "thank you ishita. Aaj bahut saalon baad mere dilse ek bahut bada bhoj hat gaya. I always felt guilty of breaking your heart but I'm happy that someone had healed it with his love."

Ishita blushes thinking about Raman and Ruhi as Subbu looks on.
Raman sees the blush on Ishita's face and the happiness on Subbu's face and mistakens that everything is sorted between the two and maybe they still love each other even now. He is shaken imagining Subbu and Ishita together as a silent tear escapes his eyes.

Subbu says "I was so worried to stay here at your Amma's place knowing that I may have to face you and your anger...but I'm happy that you forgave me."

She quickly interrupts him saying "no I haven't forgiven you. But yes I've no hard feelings for you anymore."

Subbu knew it wasn't going to be easy for both of them but he knew somewhere it had to begin.
