The DICHOTOMY OF A PICNIC ...
Yea yea i know a little late in the day to talk about the now very much real PICNIC ... but after reading numerous posts on the forum felt would love to share the THOUGHT BEHIND THE PICNIC here ...

YHM has been a DICHOTOMY of sorts ... 2 broken people who come together to become a WHOLE ... both bruised at the hands of love ... both cushioned by a loving family ... but both WALK ALONE ...but the beauty is that they when they WALK TOGETHER ... they scale the most difficult mountains

A bitter war was waged ... at one end there was ISHITA .. the woman who was in the past abandoned by her first love at the most critical juncture of her life ... this woman hesitantly starts to trust again .. starts to love again ... but once again at a critical juncture of her life she is abandoned once again by the person whom she loves ... TO SAY THIS WOMAN BROKE yet again would be an understatement ... To me during the whole COURT TRIAL the dialog which summed it up was when she tells RAMAN outside the courtroom ... " CHHOD TOH DIYA HAI >> AUR KITNA CHHODOGE" ? nothing could've described her mindset in a better fashion than these words ... what irked her was THE ABANDONMENT ...

At the other end was RAMAN ... a man who loves his son to distraction ... ever thot why there is so much love for Adi?... Adi is the REFLECTION OF A TIME when ALL WAS PERFECT in Raman's life ... he had love .. he had a family ... hence ADI to Raman is PERFECT ... Adi is also the child who CONSIDERS his father as LESS THAN WORTHY ... a child who does not LOOK UP TO HIS DAD ... hence the need to CONSTANTLY PROVE HIMSELF TO ADI will remain in Raman's conscience ... he will always Go that extra mile to PROVE himself WORTHY of ADI's love ...

These 2 individuals fought a war a war they did not want to wage ... but both had to wage it ... cause both were fighting for LOVE ... both were fighting to assert themselves in the life of the person they loved ... ishita in the life of RAMAN ... & raman in the life of Adi ...

Now lets just rewind a bit ... the COURT ROOM DRAMA started with a PICNIC ... Shagun suggested a picnic ... a moment to spend time with FAMILY ... but what she actually did was ALIENATE the family ... once again what was highlighted was the SELFISH WOMAN .. who thought only of BREAKING A FAMILY ... (recollect the car incident between Shagun & Raman's papa)

That picnic was the time that Raman got to see another side to his wife ... a woman so CONFIDENT In HIM .. that she was willing to let him go away with his EX WIFE ... a woman who had INCREDIBLE TRUST In him ... a trust he was violating he knew ... that PICNIC was the place where THINGS WENT SOUR FOR HIS BUDDING LOVE ... the PICNIC was the place where he LOST HIS WIFE'S TRUST & SMILE

WAS IT ANY WONDER THAT THE FIRST THING HE THOUGHT OF DOING TO BRING BACK THAT TRUST & SMILE ... WAS A PICNIC ...

He planned a picnic for the 2 of them .. not even wanting their daughter to intrude ... & thats cause he wanted to show her ... HER PLACE IN HIS LIFE ... he wanted to do what he could not articulate with words .. (he tried when he told her I WANT U TO BE MY STRENGTH) ... SHE WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN HIS LIFE ... & whats more he wanted to refute each & every allegation regarding his feelings for Shagun that Ishita levelled at him ... HE WANTED TO PROVE THRU this GESTURE ... he was NOT IN LOVE WITH SHAGUN ...

Now coming to Ishita ... the woman who married him for "SIRF RUHI KE LIYE" ... today its not JUST RUHI who binds these 2 .. its a whole family ... its TOSHI BHALLA who stood tall supporting her ... Its BHallaji ..the man who weathered every storm with her as her anchor ... its ROMI BHALLA ... who is the biggest strength in this family for his BHABHI ... its SIMI the girl who stood by Ishu's husband & helped him when Ishu herself could not help ... today this relation is not about JUST RUHI ... there is a very popular saying in INDIA .. .to LOVE UR HUSBAND IS TO LOVE HIS FAMILY ... & for ISHU there was NO BETTER WAY FOR HER TO PROJECT HER LOVE .. than INCLUDE & EMBRACE HIS FAMILY ...

The thought of PICNIC was enuf for Ishita .. to know that she was not abandoned by Raman .. the one thing in the bitter last few weeks was null & void since she was INCLUDED ... a woman who was excluded from the plans last time ... she was not part of the FAMILY PICNIC .. today was the reason of the PICNIC ... & this time she showed what FAMILY PICNIC MEANT ... it meant bringing together EACH & EVERY ONE ...

The Dichotomy ... at one end a woman who BREAKS a family ... at the other end a woman who HOLDS A FAMILY TOGETHER ... we all know how the FIRST PICNIC ended ... it ended with a Family broken into halves ... all cause the woman anchoring it was a HOUSE BREAKER ... SO WE ALL KNOW HOW this picnic will end ... A family joined together .. cause the woman anchoring this picnic is a HOME MAKER ...

The makers of this show have an amazing depth of understanding of HUMAN EMOTIONS .. they way they project the emotions is simply awe inspiring .. at no point has the script ever moved away from its core theme CUSTODY ... & the back drop of 2 broken people coming together to form a whole ... A sincere bow down to the writers of this amazing show ... KEEP IT COMING GUYS ...

Great analysis and breakdown of themes, never thought of it. raman can see how different ishita is from shagun in every one of her actions and nuances. she is what he was missing in life all along

ThanX Aparna ...in a serial there are 2 levels of writers .. one is the STORY TELLER .. one is the SCREENPLAY WRITER ... story teller is the one whose STORY IDEA it is .. the one who designs each track ... the one who decides how each character will perform .. how the story will progress ..
Then there is a screenplay writer the person who writes the scenes as u see them on the show ... the screen play writers do not really have the luxury of thought ... they do not have time to really think thru ... they have to deliver an episode at the end of a day .. they have the broad story in front of them .. & the story writers crucial & critical points .. based on which they give u the scenes as they flow ... to put it simply the screenplay writer is following a BRIEF ...

Finally ofc there is a dialog writer the person who puts words into the scene ...

The story teller is the main person in a TV serial the person who works as the sutradhar of sorts ... in this case ( PICNIC) its a well thought out plan ... the COURT ROOM FIASCO started with PICNIC it had to end with one ...
similarly the accident case started with a mistake of Romi's & Romi was allowed to atone himself thur this case .. by exposing the fake car sale driver ... hence the mihir mihika scene ...

Also luckily this being a EKTA serial the channel interference is minimal .. also Ekta is one person who can bank episodes ... due to low interference & actors giving minimum trouble ... her shoots are better planned than the rest ... hence u get the best planned TRACKS ... pick any of her serials u will find minimum jerks in story telling ...

Most turning points are highlighted by the story teller in his story .. he/she has the luxury of time to think thru how they want their characters & story to move .. hence a lot of times they have thought it thru 😊

Well have no clue how to make an index but will figure it out & put it together ... 😃

Yeah...actually...didn't think this way...
its all done in a course of time among other things, which is good...

Good to know that...when it comes to EK serials, I have followed only Pavitra Rishta before YHM for its initial 1-2 yrs...it had me gripped...but then after a certain time they start bringing too much nonsense, so where does the story of the writer go then ...why can't they end if they're done telling the story...I just hope YHM emerges out as an exception!

Well have no clue how to make an index but will figure it out & put it together ... 😃
