if you want me to be really honest 😆 (and I hope people dont throw chappals at me for saying this)... it looked as if he was adding fuel to the IF debates we have been having... are they really in love? is she falling first or he is ??? i think that was said to tease us

on a serious note, i think he was surprised to see her reaction to his pain. so yes, he could be testing waters, it indeed looks like the thoughts are in his mind already, and he wants to be sure of her mind too.

I have previously said that they are in love (except that they havent learnt to prioritise their relationship and that they havent realised it yet). The prioritisation is happening already. The realisation is now beginning.
